To be honest with you, as a person with dry skin I would say the emulsified body butters are far more hydrating than oil only body butters anyway. This one looks great too with the ingredients you have chosen. x
I’ve been making my water-based body for over 7 years now. It’s a customer favorite. I formulated mine in 2015 and I’ve kept it mostly the same. You get a butter that has a large amount butters and oils but w the water, it makes it absorb better, it holds up to heat. It’s not a cream, like some people think. It has more butters and oils than emulsifiers. I love the tip of adding the allantoin. I might consider doing that. I use it in my face masks and love the texture. You’re def an amazing teacher. 🤍
I love your videos! They are so informative. Are you going to be doing a video that has your new No Melt Body Butter recipe attached. You are an amazing and generous resource of knowledge to so many. Thank you for everything you do
Hi Jerika! I hate to watchbyou struggle piping. It hurts my soul. If you lay the bag in the palmbof your hand and wrap the extra bag around your pointer finger. You'll get a more controlled pipe. I also start in the middle of the jar and pipe iutward, this serms to keep everything tidy and less of a struggle. I hope that helps. Everyone does things different. I'm just trying to help! Hopefully you can try it and see. It looks like a lovely body butter! Jill Gross
This is an absolute beautiful recipe and been wanting to switch to an emulsified body butter. Summer is here in CA. I will say tho I recommend a bigger piping tip it won't be as hard.
Looks very nice! I haven't worked with water phase yet. My thing is knowing how to measure your mica color to products so it is the same looking color every time
I feel that I enjoy seeing you make these as much as Like seeing what your doing but I wish you didint cut your face out the frame like watching a cooking show when you can see the person and see then cook lol just enjoy watching your videos I don't mean to judge your process but I watched your bath bomb vid n your whole self was in it it's was very cool to watch. Thanks for all your wonderful tips n recipes I'm truly inspired!
I've been doing a lot of research myself on emulsified butter creams. I'm excited to try the recipe with the ingredients I want. I have wondered though, would it make ANY difference if you did try to whip this? I've never seen anyone do it... No stupid questions right lololol
Also there is the emulsifying wax in there too - they help take the hand of the oils and the waters, bind them and keep then blended together. Working even with temperature variations. Plus they also add their own individual qualities as she mentioned, like drawing moisture to skin, smooth silky texture, thickening etc. It would be a good idea to resource each one of these four products, and the many brand name versions they can come under. Empowering yourself with knowledge and more 'know how' before you start - this will be next step for me, happy homework.
I’m so glad you made this video! I really wanted to sell this year round. 🌸 Do you think using grape seed oil would be too heavy in this body butter or bath bombs?
Hi Jerika, Can we sub hydrolized hemp protein for the hydrolized oats? And can we skip the cucumber juice, or sub in something else if we can't find it?
Hi lady. I have been watching and loving your videos! I'm new to soapmaking and have a question for you. I've seen you use glitter on your soaps. Have you used the glitter inside the soap loaves? I reached out to Mad micas and they said the glitter was abrasive. I'm also wondering how abrasive it is. Thank you for all you do for us!
There's different size of glitter but adding it to soap won't give you the simmer effect you may be looking for try using the fairy dust pumps from mad mica for a similar effect after the soaps are cut
Do you make all your products yourself? I'm about to start out in the skin care business world and have so many ideas of products I want to launch but I'm a tad intimidated by the quantity. Its no where near as many as yours but I'm just wondering.
Can you make a video with all natural body butter preservative free? Body butters can be made 100% natural without added stuff and have a long shelf life as long as the consumer uses clean dry hands. Would love to see an all natural video.
I stick blend mine while in the water bath to make sure it’s hot, as soon as I stick blend for 2 full minutes I immediately ice bath the batch and stick it in the freezer for 1 hr while mixing it every 15 minutes, if I don’t do this step I get a light graininess which I hate!!!
@@DiosaDe1So1 yeah I actually did some research on it. That’s literally called thick lotion or a cream. Authentic body butter does not have water in it. Lotion and creams are moisturizers because they contain water. Body butters are sealants because it’s just oil, it traps moisture in. When you add water to it it ends up being a moisturizer and in turn making it a cream or lotion. And I know for damn sure if I bought a body butter and got some fucking lotion in the mail or this bullshit I would be PISSED. false advertising. This is like treehut shit they call it body butter but it’s literally lotion.
It is Psoriasis, not an injury. Jerika has talked about it in a previous video, and has been healing from it with the handcrafted products she has been creating as a healing response to the skin condition. Keep going Jerika. PS - Anyone had positive healing improvements on Psoriasis using homemade Black Charcoal Soap or Pine Tar Soap (wash off products). Or as a Salve/Ointment (leave on products)? They are both said to be very helpful. Peace.

That's because oils are not hydrating they are sealing. Emulsified butters contain hydrating ingredients.

Emulsified Body butter is amazing all year round and makes the skin feel so smooth and soft.

That looks fabulous! Slightly more steps but it’s so worth it to deliver quality to your customers all year round! Thank you for sharing!

Nice idea and texture but expensive to make and I’m glad it’s a success for you.
I love the emulsified butters more than the anhydrous they are beautiful
Hey Jerika! Will you be doing a video on how you formulate your recipes?
I like how thick your recipe came out. I'll have to try it. Thanks for sharing
I bet this would be a hit all summer long..great idea..finally a body butter for the warmer months!
Looks very nice! I haven't worked with water phase yet. My thing is knowing how to measure your mica color to products so it is the same looking color every time
Can you keep a picture or swatch on hand for color matching? You could also weigh the mica. Just an idea.

Hi Jerika! Love your videos. Thank you for sharing. Do you by any chance sell this recipe?

Will you be sharing this recipe? I’m interested in creating this no-melt body butter!
Where can I purchase the actual recipe for this with amounts?
I've been doing a lot of research myself on emulsified butter creams. I'm excited to try the recipe with the ingredients I want. I have wondered though, would it make ANY difference if you did try to whip this? I've never seen anyone do it... No stupid questions right lololol
I was thinking the same!!
No need to whip because its more of a whipped cream already. I’ve been making this for 4 years. My skin loves body butter creams.
you have to emulsify your water and oil products, so you can whip it. i just use an electric whisk lol
You getting summer ready I see
So the BTMS, Cetyl alcohol, and allantoin are the ingredients that don't let it melt?

I am intrigued by the cooling effect of the peppermint after some sun, will these be for sale soon!? I need them in my life😭😭
What would you suggest as a winter fragrance please
Looks amazing 🤩
Looks very lovely but I do have a question. Ian testing the pH necessary in this recipe?
I’m so glad you made this video! I really wanted to sell this year round. 🌸 Do you think using grape seed oil would be too heavy in this body butter or bath bombs?
Hi. Just keep in mind grape seed oil has kind of a short shelf life
@@sheillaarias7227 Thank you. Still learning a lot about ingredients.
@@danielledavis5663 same here!
I think you could go a little darker in colour just saying. When piping fill base first and work your way up.
Looks absolutely beautiful
Look gorgeous 💕💕
Thank you!
Hi Jerika, Can we sub hydrolized hemp protein for the hydrolized oats? And can we skip the cucumber juice, or sub in something else if we can't find it?
Can we have the recipe?
Question, can I use fresh Aloe as my humectant?
Can you give us the recipe??

I don’t use glitter in my soaps. Just the top! I agree, it may feel too abrasive inside the soap.

Never though of mint 💚😘❤️
Where do you get your Aloe juice?
Do you sell this recipe?
Is there a safe mascara for my teenager anywhere in the world? I am horrified at the mascara ingredients on the product packaging 😢
Im curious what you use to heat up your phases butters?
most likely double boiler
Would it be ok to add the wax to the recipe i already have? Or i would have to reformulate?

Yep here’s a video of an all oil and butter only body butter I made last year: ua-cam.com/video/kjG8-4EQOTM/v-deo.html
I've been looking for flat jars where do you get yours from?
That's amazing. Question, what is the purpose of making that cooling mix to add to the mix?
Does your Patreon have the formulas ( measurements)
It does!
It would have been awesome to put a hair dryer on it just to test it hehe
That’s a great idea, Angela
Where do you purchase your jars from? are they plastic or glass??
Maybe Amazon? They're plastic.
Do you have exact recipe that you are willing to share
Hi Jerika. So how hot can this get? I live in Phoenix and I can't ship a lot of my products during summer. 🥵
Please note that pregnant and breast feeding mum's can't use peppermint, Lavender, mint
Hi Jerika do you store your hemp seed oil in the fridge??? Some say yes some say no!!!
Mine goes into a cabinet away from light. I wouldn't put it in the fridge because it will warp the product.
Hi do you put your butter in the freezer? Especially for a large batch.
Did u check the Ph before adding the preservative?
I bet I know who’s job this will be😂
I thought body butter didn’t have water in it?? So she’s making lotion basically
