@@8LLRoadranger yes it did. Not sure if it was the sensor or the sync. The sensor had electrical tape around it and didn’t seem like the harness connector can still click in. Either way I was able to keep timing and can floor it now!
Thanks Robert I like the way you took time to align and remove I will follow your advice on this looked at a few other videos but liked yours the best thanks a ton
Robert necesito saber como colocar el camshaft después de haberlo quitado cuando se ha desarmado el motor y después como ponerlo a tiempo muchas gracias buenos vídeos .
No, it does not matter. As long as the engine timing is not out of sequence with the cam sensor/synchronizer All I did was line the tab up with the window, and removed the old one, and then install the new one lining up in the same fashion. Be well!
Yes...the more precise way would be to remove the valve cover with cylinder one, and find TDC by watching the valves. Then, install the synchronizer with the tab aligned to the window.
You posted this 7 years ago and its still helping people :)

Question: does it have to be TDC on the compression stroke or does it matter? I’m finding conflicting advice (imagine that).

Is it necessary to take the plugs out using this method?
Hello Matt...
No, you do not have to remove the spark plugs from the engine.
Be Blessed!
Hello. I lost timing on my my replacement. How can I find it back? Any suggestions?
