    In this lessons we will discuss the important topics of energy and work in terms of their applications to chemistry and physics. We want to understand when an atom or molecule has electrons in a high energy state and how that compares to a low energy state and what this means. When we say energy, we are usually referring to potential energy, but we also discuss kinetic energy and contrast this with work, which is energy that has been used to move an object. Energy is very important to understand in chemistry because it governs how chemical reactions happen and determines when and how fast the reaction proceeds.

      @@MathAndScience Consider what is E=MC2. c squared CLEARLY (AND NECESSARILY) represents a dimension of SPACE ON BALANCE, AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is CLEARLY (AND NECESSARILY) proven to be gravity (ON/IN BALANCE); AS TIME is NECESSARILY possible/potential AND actual ON/IN BALANCE. Accordingly, ON BALANCE, the rotation of WHAT IS THE MOON matches the revolution. Consider what is THE EARTH/ground. Consider what is E=MC2. Now, consider what is THE EYE; AND consider what is the TRANSLUCENT AND BLUE sky ON BALANCE. SO, consider what is the BALANCED MIDDLE DISTANCE in/of/as SPACE; AS c squared CLEARLY represents a dimension of SPACE ON BALANCE; AS WHAT IS E=MC2 CLEARLY proves (ON BALANCE) that ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is CLEARLY AND NECESSARILY proven to be gravity (ON/IN BALANCE). Indeed, notice what is the fully illuminated (AND setting/WHITE) MOON ON BALANCE. Now, consider what is the orange (AND setting) Sun ON BALANCE !! They are the SAME SIZE as what is THE EYE. The rotation of WHAT IS THE MOON matches the revolution, AS TIME is NECESSARILY possible/potential AND actual ON/IN BALANCE; AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is CLEARLY AND NECESSARILY proven to be gravity (ON/IN BALANCE) !!! CONSIDER WHAT IS E=MC2 ON BALANCE. Gravity is an interaction that cannot be shielded (or blocked) ON BALANCE !!! Consider TIME AND time dilation ON BALANCE, AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is CLEARLY AND NECESSARILY proven to be gravity (ON/IN BALANCE) !!! The stars AND PLANETS are POINTS in the night sky ON BALANCE !!! c squared CLEARLY represents a dimension of SPACE ON BALANCE, AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is CLEARLY AND NECESSARILY proven to be gravity (ON/IN BALANCE) !!! Indeed, TIME is NECESSARILY possible/potential AND actual ON/IN BALANCE; AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is CLEARLY AND NECESSARILY proven to be gravity (ON/IN BALANCE) !!! Think. What is E=MC2 is dimensionally consistent. What is THE EARTH/ground is fully consistent with/as (AND IT IS BALANCED WITH/AS) what is E=MC2 (ON/IN BALANCE). BALANCE AND completeness go hand in hand. ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is CLEARLY AND NECESSARILY proven to be gravity (ON/IN BALANCE), AS TIME is NECESSARILY possible/potential AND actual ON/IN BALANCE. c squared CLEARLY represents a dimension of SPACE ON BALANCE. Again, ON BALANCE, consider what is the BALANCED MIDDLE DISTANCE in/of/as SPACE, AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is CLEARLY (AND NECESSARILY) proven to be gravity (ON/IN BALANCE) !!! CLEARLY, I have mathematically proven and explained what is the fourth dimension. Magnificent.

That was one of my most eye-opening and fee-smart moments I've had while trying to grasp and understand New information.

    القوة الغير ثابتة : مثل الدفع بقوة غير ثابتة تتغير وستدخل في التكامل والتفاضل لذا لن يأخذها .
    رمز الشغل : w .
    معادلة الشغل : القوة × المسافة .
    او رياضيًّا :
    W = F . D
    وحدة المسافة : m / المتر .
    وحدة القوة : n / نيوتن .
    وحدة الشغل : j / الجول .
    اما الناتج فسيكون جول بالثانية مثال :
    W ( 3 ) = F ( 3 ) . D ( 1 ) => 3 J/S
    الطاقة الكامنة مثلًا اذا صعدت عاليًا راح تزداد واذا سقطت صرفتها
    للتوضيح :
    صندوق
    |_| صندوق ٢
    |_|
    ________ _________
    ارض ارض ايضًا
    الصندوق ٢ لديه طاقة كامنة اقل لذلك لن يكون سقوطه كقوة سقوط صندوق ١ .
    القوة الكامنة : الكتلة مضروبة بالجاذبية والارتفاع
    PE = mgh
    g = m/s²
    H = m
    M = kg
    الطاقة الحركية : الطاقة الكامنة مخزونة مثل سحب الشريط المطاطي اذا تركته تكونت عندك الطاقة الحركية .
    KE = 1/2 mv²
    الطاقة الحركية = نصف ضعف الكتلة وسرعة الجسم
    سرعة الجسم m/s
    الكتلة kg
    المثال على الطاقة الكامنة والحركية :
    لديك مدينة ملاهي فيها افعوانية كالتالي
    1
    _
    2 \ /
    _ \ /
    \ / \ /
    \ / \ /
    ________\ /___\ /___
    اذا كنت على أي ارتفاع سواء ١ او ٢ فانك لديك طاقة كامنة محددة حسب الارتفاع والمسافة والخ ، وإذا نزلت فأنت هنا تستخدم الطاقة الحركية .
    اتذكر ان الدكتور قال الجاذبية أقوى بملايين المرات من القوة الكهربائية ؟ هنا ستستفاد من هذه المعلومة .
    القوة الجاذبية
    F = G ( ثابت الجاذبية ) أس ( m¹m²/r²)
    هذا ليس درسًا للفيزياء لذلك ابحث عن ثابت الجاذبية في الفيزياء .
    R المسافة بين الاجسام
    M = kg كيلوجرام
    R = m متر
    F = N نيوتن
    القوة الكهربائية
    F = K ( q¹q²/r²)
    Q هو شحنة الجسم
    K هو ثابت الكهرباء
    R المسافة بين متر الاجسام

    Thank you so much for these videos, such clear and passionate explanation!
    There is only one thing in this video that maybe I missed or maybe it wasn't really important enough to note but I kept thinking the whole time you were talking about potential energy, you never really touched on how something gains potential energy, the energy that has to be put into it for it to be stored. Like lifting the box or clicking up the roller coaster. Anyways, most people should know that but I kept thinking it might make it come full circle for some people a little bit more. Not to criticize, I know you understand it much better than I do and have years of doing this, that was just one thing that I kept listening for is all.

    Perhaps it is worthy of mentioning..... as you said only you wished if someone had explained it to you right from day one. Based on that, the following maybe worthy of consideration.
    You brought up Watt ( as if from nowhere), then explained it as joule/second. Lets wrap it nicely so it stands out clear. Maybe?
    So here we go:
    There are two types of joules. Mechanical joule and electromagnetic joule if you will.
    Mechanical joule (work) is when 1kg of mass accelerating to a distance of 1 meter in the time frame of 1 second. Power is the measurement of this work/second. I.e. Mechaical joule/second.
    Electric Joule: Displacing a coloumb of charges through a potential difference of 1V overcoming 1 ohm of resistance in one second. Notice how in this set up there is no mention of distance but mere displacement, more like some cross section if you will as if people just passing a door opening. That is rather interesting when it comes to electric joule. Thus; watt is this joule/second.
    Is this about right?

      No, energy is scalar( meaning only has quantity not direction) so when you cave in you will create new height(still positive number)

      @@kamalibrathwaite I disagree with your previous respondent. Potential energy can be negative. It just means that the potential energy is less than the potential energy at the location we arbitrarily define as zero.
      For GPE on this planet where g is close enough to uniform, this just means you pick a location, give it a zero z-position, and anything lower than that z-position will have negative potential energy. Usually you pick a location such as the floor, the ground, or sea level as this datum. It ultimately is differences in potential energy that you care about, so where you define zero potential energy makes no difference in any applications of the concept.
      For GPE in the universal sense, with GPE = -G*M*m/r, there is a convention to establish GPE to equal zero, when r=infinity. This is simply for mathematical convenience, because we simply set the +C term equal to zero, after integrating, so we keep it simple and don't need to determine what C equals.
      For electric potential energy, if there is a location where positive EPE exists, then if you simply switch the sign of the charge, you would then have negative EPE at that same position. Again, EPE is defined with an arbitrary datum just like GPE, and it is ultimately differences in EPE that we care about.
