Turner description-
When we first got our hands on our M4, we thought the intake needed improvement. We created an intake system that outflows the factory intake, maintains factory MAF scaling, provides increased induction noise, and looks great in the engine bay. Our intake was CAD designed inhouse to seamlessly integrate with OEM inlet ducting and stock mounting locations. We offer our S55 intake system with several options to suit your needs - inlet tubes are available in matte or gloss 2x2 twill carbon fiber, or wriinkle black powder coated aluminum for a cost-effective option. You can also run either no lid, or carbon fiber lid in either gloss or matte finish. Note that in testing, we did record lower intake temperatures on vehicles running an intake lid rather than an open filter setup.

man I wish my E30 started up that smooth every time!
Just got my TM cf intakes. Iv tried about 4 other intakes that seemed to cause more issues than anything like not dealing well, sub par fitment. I hope this one is it! Turner is known for their quality aftermarket stuff. I’m excited. Thanks for taking the time to make us such a good, detailed video. I’ll use it to aid with my install.

BMW did a great job with the air intake, nice and sealed up bringing air from the front, I just don't like air filters open in a hot engine bay.

Hey no comments bashing it as a hot air intake 🙄. I have a pretty similar intake and the install was like you said. I think it took me 45 minutes and I was being super slow and cautious. The sound is wicked fun too. 🤙
Great vid. The heat shields are marketed well, but doesn't stop the heat when the hood is closed. OEM intakes are pretty efficient, but if you got the cash for loud turbo spool and zero performance gains, open filtered intakes are the way to go.
Very true it’s mostly for the spoolie noises. It does sound really good tho 👍🏼🏁🏁

Good-Stuff, trying to go different route with exhaust- Can't find single midpipe anywhere. everything is on back order :(
should have heat wrapped the pipping to reduce the heat going to them

Yep, just with flaps open. Pulled the flap connectors so it always open.

Third man who disliked your video is me, hear me out why:
when I purchased my E46 330 it came with K&N "Cold" air intake with tube and heat shield and filter(which needs to be maintained properly), kit that costs about $250...Yes it produced more noise from the engine, but I prefer to operate engine as quiet as possible, its not some M3 NA ITBs screamer which would make me wet every time I step on throttle, it regular ass i6 engine...anyways, I installed factory intake and Logged temp difference between K&N and Factory, on same day two same run on warm engine in 1 hour difference...Factory intake was pulling more than 10° cooler air than K&N ever did, that to me is Fact based on my personal car and introducing Hot air to the engine for some additional noise from engine is also nonsense to me...after some time I found out my MAF was dead(trust me its not easy to diagnose MAF failure), which btw can be caused by Oiled "Cold" air filters especially if it was not maintained properly, not cleaned or cleaned with other solution than K&N special cleaner, oiled too much or not enough again with K&N special oil. additional pain added in regular maintenance like simple air filter change, for what?...Now I encourage you to Log your intake temps to see it yourself what you doing.

The filters alone, yes. It’s really not hard to take the strut brace off.

Just chiming in... to answer your Q: Nope ! No warning lights or glitches :) installed Racing Dynamics Cold Air Intake on my ‘18 f80 M3 last summer & just that alone makes a world of difference! Sounds amazing at all speeds (takes a day or 2 to “get it right” you’ll see what I mean) all said, being that I’m not super into tuning and mods, but this $4-$500 upgrade is a musT... again, a MUST! Great Video btw (altho for some reason videos compared to real life... it’s WAY better in real life, meaning the turbo spool and engine growl are way more in Yo Face! I mean it! Hahah enjoy~
No power loss (on mine) if anything, power gain... not anything crazy, but.. just get one dude, I’d say I’ll pay for it if you conclude that it sucks.

Yeah you can but like I said that may cause some issues after unless you have Carly or something like that. If you’re careful you’ll be fine.

It is pretty loud just hard to hear over the mic in the video. My mic filtered out a lot of that Frequency I think. Because in the car when you can hear completely also on the outside of the car you can totally hear it. Hopefully you can kind of make it out in the flybys.

i installed the Mst air intakes on my m3 f80 and im gettinf mass air flow codes heard you have to do and adaptation reset... Most likely gonna go with a MHD tune set up soon

Trust me it make way more intake noise very noticeable and a great addition.
