Hey I have a question, do you think that the fuse ability can maybe only be used in the sky Islands? I ask this because when link is riding through the field the fuse ability is grayed out but not when he's in the sky Islands. At first I thought this might be Nintendo trying to hide an aspect of game play but if you notice when link falls off the sky island ascend gets grayed out in the same manner. Just a thought.
@@TheJcris87 i mean it would be pretty useless to use ascend to swim up water faster, feels like there is a pretty good chance underwater sections will be apart of the game, not only that, they have already listened a lot to the community and underwater sections was a very requested thing.
@@BasmatiRice96 if it's in the game then that's great, but I'm not getting my hopes up because an ability was lit up. For all we know it counts the surface of water as a ceiling and that's the only reason it lights up while submerged.
I was thinking about possible dungeon locations for TotK and I remembered the giant hole that Kohga fell into in BotW. That would be the perfect place for a desert dungeon and a much harder version of Kohga could be the boss
Yeah, will be interesting to go there for sure and see if we can explore it! I'm also curious to see what will happen to the giant pit where the Gerudo Tower was.
What if the entirety of Hyrule is completely interconnected underground? That would be insane. Maybe you'd have to clear underground regions to connect them together to where you could eventually travel underground far enough and pop up on the other side of the map.
Ascend's patent specifically states that a requirement for the ability is to "be able to quickly escape caves" so yeah, it's going to be gargantuan down there and intricately connected to the gameplay loop.
that would be friggin' amazing. I just hope we get SOME form of proper dungeons this time, preferably as close to what zelda 1 did as possible, hiding the entrances in random places. And if you can't explore deeper in the "forgotten temple," I'm gonna be kind of upset.
I do that but I don't make videos on make-Believe stuff because I don't want to mislead/disappoint fans. If it's a clear sign on a graphic or Official change then I'll maybe use but I always feel the Best 'theory' is *playing the Game.*
Looks like one of those fan blocks is high in the sky above the Golem at 6:25 It has similiar edges, and if so it seems to be correct that it can float by itself. Will be interesting to see how they work!
You can also see in the construct artwork that the dragon flamethrower seems to be attached to a sword, so maybe we'll be able to attach it to swords or spears too, not just shields
Ugh; if it still Breaks - that will contribute a 'major error' point in my rating leading to a possible whole Mark being docked off my x/10 rating I'll eventually give Tears. I rated Breath a 6/10 - Tears however already looks _far_ more promising so I'm hoping I'll not be disappointed enough to finally get it to that 8(+)/10 rating!
@netweed09 yeah, i feel like enough people complained about the weapon durability that they could have changed it at least slightly, i feel like they may have also done that cause for me it would make sense in the whole combining weapons and items thing for the durability to be altered, but on the other hand maybe they kept the durability the same so you have to continuously mix and match new weapons, i hope the durability is at least higher or more reliable but we'll just have to see :)🤷
The concept of Hyrule castle launching from a concentrated burst of malice, and also spreading underground through existing ancient tunnels and caves to burst open malice geysers all over Hyrule has been something I've thought since the moment we saw the first malice hole, and furthermore, I think the new towers are linked to this as well. I'm not sure how yet, but it seems obvious to me that it is all connected. This tells me the underground is going to be absolutely massive, stretching from Hyrule Castle into the chambers of death mountain (where a new fire temple probably rests) and reaches all the way out to the West of Hyrule field towards the Hebra Mountain range.
About the giant fans, they are giant compared to the island, almost the same size the smaller fans are compared to the raft we see in the gameplay. My theory is, what if the giant fans are meant to move the whole island?
I just had an idea, what if the entire underground was just one huge dungeon? The holes throughout Hyrule would be used to enter into different parts. I just feel that the ascend ability is more for escaping the underground than climbing to new hights
Hold on. I will have to go back and look tonight at home, but what if the malice holes are where the Sheikah towers were. Like Ganandorf took control of them all like he did the gaurdians. After all, the castle had the Sheikah Astrology room or wataver. Myabe thats how he lifted it.
I have a feeling that Princess Zelda doesn't make it and that that person we're meeting in this game is Hylia's latest reincarnation. Maybe Link has to find her and help her find her powers this time. I almost feel like we may find the princess' resting place. Her message to Link that he might not be able to stop Ganondorf felt like a goodbye letter. Just sharing.
@@Dan-kg9no Not sure, but we don't know how much time has passed between what happened during the fall and the gameplay we've seen. Not like Zelda games haven't played with time before.
I think the big fans could be used to build bridges between islands because they are pretty much on all the islands shown off in the video. Eventually you could have a whole Network of bridges.
I'm still wondering about underwater exploration, or possibly another underground area where Myumoto dove into the river. If you watch as Link splashes down, the Ascend icon lights up briefly from the time after he hits to when he pops back up on the surface, as if you could use it during that time. Whether that is the trigger to "stay down" or there is a cavern underneath there, and you can warp into it before coming up, but can't once fully up remains to be seen. It could be that he "touched bottom" for a bit, since it's shallow there, and Link would have to be standing on something to warp through it.
It would be cool to have Hyrule Radio FM in Tears of the Kingdom that you could tune into like Grand Theft Auto and listen to stuff like classic music and get weather reports
4:48 the hammer the bokoblin is swinging looks suspiciously like a fused rock and stick… aonuma said that some enemies would be carrying fused weapons, and apparently that could be true for not just constructs. fusing seems to be a zonai ability, and it would be a bit lore breaking if any monster could do it now… i wonder whether the monsters stole their weapons from constructs? if they did, this would imply that the cave is probably somewhere on the sky islands OR that constrcuts are also a thing elsewhere.
well yeah, they probably are underground too considering the fact that the Zonai architecture is clearly used underground, according to the first trailer we got.
Not sure if anyone else notices the first island with the 3 big fans looks Kind of like an airship all together. Maybe you use those big fans to relocate that entire island to access others?
Yes, I do believe you are correct about the Zonai ‘building thingies’ (I have no idea what to call them) are giant fans. When I first saw them they looked like they were movable, but I couldn’t figure out why. A giant fan makes a whole lot of sense! At minimum, they are some sort of puzzle. Really enjoy your videos! Glad I found your channel.
what happens if the giant tree in the large cave in one of the trailers is a base for those large tower structures just like the sheikha towers but instead made by Gannon's workers in the caves, also it may be that the giant malic vents with maybe have the tree/tower structed being buildout of them?
Regarding the construct holding the dragon-head-flamethrower and bow: I wonder if, instead of defeating that to gain those items, it's something Link can build on his own...meaning that what we're seeing isn't an enemy, but a companion Link creates to help him do battle.
I kind of had my own thoughts on the top of the box Link landed on in the gameplay trailer. It reminded me of the flying platform Link used in one of the earlier trailers. But since they looked different, I didn't really say anything. But I figured that you could use them in some type of crafting thing since they do have visual points thar look like they would go together with something else. Ei the green dots at the corners of the platform. I know this doesn't automatically mean something and can be a design choice, but it was just something that came across my mind about that specific structure.
Aounuma did put special emphasis on having to land on certain things from the key in the gameplay video. He could have been referring to those mysterious towers , the malice vents, or both. Who knows? I can't wait to freaking find out. I'm just imagining skydiving into one of the holes. You're free falling towards it, and you have to time your paragliding just right, but what is terrifying is the underground is probably going to be pitch-black so you could potentially be ambushed right as you land, or even intercepted by flying enemies like the winged frogs before you even enter the hole. This is going to be excellent.
Here is a theory I came up with based on SuperSavajin's most recent video about Link's new arm abilities: - there are very clearly two styles of arm icons, the symbols resembling kanji with a semi circle around them (i.e. recall) and, - the icons that are more hieroglyphic in aesthetic (i.e. ultrahand, fuse, ascend) - SuperSavajin argued in the video that there's evidence of more kanji style powers yet to be revealed (refer to video) - what I noticed and am sure I'm not the only one, recall has absolutely no green shine when activated, it is slightly golden, as in the delay trailer - all the other three abilitiees shown in the gameplay trailer with the hieroglyphic aesthetic, all make the hand glow green when activated! - this is interesting because it is also theorized that the GREEN vile container and viles on the hip are associated only with the 3 mentioned abilities, and not recall - prediction: we strart the adventure with the green hand abilities just like we started with the sheikah slate abilities, and - we progressively unlock the "bracelet" abilities (i.e. recall and others) throughout the game, maybe from more traditional dungeons what do you guys think?
That would be very interesting and it makes sense in a way that Nintendo would probably not show us all the powers unlocked! As for the Recall power, since it is glowing yellow, it might be a Hylia/Zelda power? The Goddess Hylia's color is usually yellow/gold AND she is pretty much the incarnation of Time (e.g. The Ocarina of Time only given to the Royal Family or the power to time travel in Skyward Sword) which is the theme of the Recall power
When you show the art work of the construct and the dragon head there's a blade on top of it's head. Pretty sure that that's the sword Link is holding in one of the scenes from the last trailer. That might be another way we get weapons, as body parts, instead of just stealing them from enemies hands. I haven't seen anyone mention it, but I haven't had a chance to watch all the reviews yet.
Thank you for pointing out the red spirals, that was one of the first things I noticed. Can't remember if I said that before or not. If I did, oh well I'm saying it again.
A neat secret ive only seen one video mention is that after Aonuma sneak strikes the construct, when he goes to fuse a rock to his shield, you can see the nearby sail also highlights blue, suggesting we can fuse that to our shield or weapon as well
Those large blocks with the fan blades look like they're floating without the fans being on. I bet hitting the two dragon head decorations on those blocks moves them up or down like an elevator, ultrahand just allows you to place the elevators wherever you want
Hey HG. I've been thinking about the fuse ability and the TOTK logo. Do you think a main part of the story will result in fusing the damaged master sword with some other type of material? Or maybe we can have the opportunity to fuse the master sword with other weapons? Like a flame sword to make a flame master sword? It's just interesting that the master sword in the logo is half "zonai-ish". What do you think? Maybe it would be an interesting video to go over the implications of fusing different weapons together.
"The Legend of Zelda : Tears of the Kingdom 3rd Trailer" will be streamed live from 23:00 on Thursday, April 13th . This is the last trailer video (about 3 minutes) before the release SOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!
I just thought of something. There seems to be a new dragon in the sky, one that somewhat matches the colors of “Hylia” we’ve seen in the recent trailer. What if the dragons have a different form, a more human like form. What if that new dragon is “Hylia”’s dragon form?
Random 5 am thought b4 bed about dungeons. Ya know how in older zelda games there was a main item in each temple/dungeon. Since I'm assuming that isn't coming back, what if it was something similar, like a main weapon? Like you need a sword to defeat the boss in one dungeon and a spear for the next? Something that still breaks and works with the durability system in place, while also giving the player more than enough of said weapon for the temple. Just a thought cuz I don't think we are getting our favorite items back like the clawshots. Those would be a broken item.
37 days....37 Loved the video, boss! Your touches of humor are the best Hey, Given the size of these fans, we could build a divine beast lol Kind of going to miss Stasis, cryonis and the bomb i have to say, but i have no doubt we havent seen every abilities we can get!
Hi HG dunno if ull see this, but I was wandering if u could tell me what the music u used at the start of the fans segment is as I can't seem to remember what it's from, I feel like it's tp but icr and I rlly want to save it to a playlist and use it in a vid, thanks :)
I actually think underwater exploration would sort of even 'spoil' the Purity of the ''Air / Land'' experience Tears offers. Plus - really I feel it doesn't need it; if it's in there, all Good but We've already been given so many cues and clues in the 2nd trailer Tapestry, giant Glyphs markings on the land. Caves, Sky Tornado etc. Tears also looks spectacular when you come to think of it: it's almost Zelda Kid Icarus but on a whole new level.
Upon seeing the earlier trailers where Hyrule castle was being raised up…I thought it was going to raise high up like Skyloft. Perhaps it still may happen at some point in the story 🤷🏼♂️
so i have an idea for a video if it may interest you its been on my mind for a long time now but how about a video about places to revisit in tears of the kingdom and explaining what might have happened to these places like the 8th heroin statue or the forgotten temple
There's something that looks like another cave entrance in a previous trailer as well. Link is near a body of water (down in Hyrule) and using recall on a piece of rock. You can see it in the background in this moment ua-cam.com/video/705GMOnUEnM/v-deo.html
What you called fans I thought were cages, especially after Aonuma mentioned that ascend can be used to escape cages. But yea I'm hoping there's nice variety on the sky islands 🏝 It seems so, as it's beginning to look like there are dozens all across the kingdom
That enemy link is fighting with a flame thrower, I'm pretty sure it's a like like. Like Likes are the creatures that would surround link and try to eat his shield in previous games.
Not sure if that type of construct will have a dragonhead flame thrower all the time as Eiji Aonuma said in the game play enemies will have different fused weapons.
The fan things look like Zonai versions of Power Supply Units. Will Link build a massive Gaming PC in Hyrule? I'm Joking about the PC building part, but that's what they look like.
I think the swirl is not zonai but the Courage emblem or symbol of farore Also, if Link doesn’t have the sheikah slate anymore, what displays the map? The mini-map icon is really similar to the BotW one, but in BotW, the sheikah slate is in Link’s possession.
What if you’re able to use those big fans to raise the sky island itself to a second higher level where the bigger islands are. Maybe the 2nd level can’t be reached using the recall ability at this point in the game /storyline Just a they… a game theory!
I wonder if they included Zonai in this game because of all the speculation videos since 2017. I have no seen any mention of zonai in Breath of the Wild.
Another Zelda UA-camr, forgot his name pointed out that you can use ascend under the water which you can see the ability light up when he lands in the river. I am pointing this out at the beginning so I have no clue if you mentioned this. Edit: found the name of the channel it is Nintendo prime
I think we will get a similar talking Link like we did with Breath of the Wild. Where we have one or two little prompts but no voicing. Everyone else would get some sort of voicing though. That’s my small side theory that doesn’t connect anything in this video though.
I’ve been playing skyward sword for the first time and I’ve had fun but I thought the early game was absolutely horrible because it was boring, hard and didn’t tell you what to do as well as making you run around aimlessly in hostile environments, what did you guys think of the skyward sword early game?
ooh ooh what if the malice vents dont send you underground but are actually portals to the demon realm where demise is from those portals could literally take you to hell that would be awesome
A dungeon inside of Death Mountain would be awesome! Also do you think that we will be able to explore under water seeing as how there was no dive option in the gameplay at the end?

Those large blocks with the fan blades look like they're floating without the fans being on. I bet hitting the two dragon head decorations on those blocks moves them up or down like an elevator, ultrahand just allows you to place the elevators wherever you want
I'm calling it: Those large fans are gonna be used to move the islands themselves as a part of a bigger puzzle of some sort.
This is the last trailer video (about 3 minutes) before the release
SOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!
The size of the fans make me wonder if you can manipulate an island's position in the sky... ooh, the possibilities.
My exact quote upon reading the push notification: "Sure! You KNOW I wanna watch that shit."
The construct in the 4th fact, you can see it’s horn when they show how to create a homing arrow in the gameplay
Great video! I love how you fixed some of it in post 😂
I love that you had so much skyward sword music in this video
Definitely can get behind that the leaking of malice being holes for caves.
37 days....37
Loved the video, boss! Your touches of humor are the best
Hey, Given the size of these fans, we could build a divine beast lol
Kind of going to miss Stasis, cryonis and the bomb i have to say, but i have no doubt we havent seen every abilities we can get!
Finally someone else who thought the big object ounuma landed on was a big fan i noticed this right away
CAVE BOYSSS LETS GOOO
We might be able to move the islands in some sort of puzzle segment or something
Where on the Nintendo Japan website did you see the new Zonai sound?? I cannot find it.
I have it linked but it would appear they have since updated the website for the new trailer
What you called fans I thought were cages, especially after Aonuma mentioned that ascend can be used to escape cages. But yea I'm hoping there's nice variety on the sky islands 🏝 It seems so, as it's beginning to look like there are dozens all across the kingdom
Do you think we'll be able to still parry and block effectively with offensive shields like the dragon head shield?
Maybe, maybe not
Thanks, i was starting to lose hope for this game but you made it interesting again somehow
Glad to hear it!
I think the swirl is not zonai but the Courage emblem or symbol of farore
Also, if Link doesn’t have the sheikah slate anymore, what displays the map? The mini-map icon is really similar to the BotW one, but in BotW, the sheikah slate is in Link’s possession.
Farore and Sheikah. You were only one letter off.
@@xinpingdonohoe3978 Thanks I’ll modify it.
5:21 not sure where it is, my guess is near Rowan plains
Oh god, what if the Zelda timeline IS an infinite loop and the giant fans are so you can pilot the islands together to form Skyloft? 🤯
What if you’re able to use those big fans to raise the sky island itself to a second higher level where the bigger islands are. Maybe the 2nd level can’t be reached using the recall ability at this point in the game /storyline Just a they… a game theory!
listen to this: what if those big fans are to move ENTIRE islands? Like ultra hands constructions but in makro scale, that would be cool
Those 3 "fans" are most likely a mini puzzle. One "fan" is out of alignment.
5:16 found this spot, it’s in irch plains
I’ve been playing skyward sword for the first time and I’ve had fun but I thought the early game was absolutely horrible because it was boring, hard and didn’t tell you what to do as well as making you run around aimlessly in hostile environments, what did you guys think of the skyward sword early game?
How cool would it be if you could ultra band enemies during a flurry attack perfect dodge thingy
7:50 Has anyone noticed that this enemy looks eerily similar to the Like-Likes from Ocarina of Time?
the big worm sticking out of the ceiling?
Is a sky island cave underground or above ground?
both
Those giant fans in square cages remind me of a PSU (power supply unit) from a PC
Your mind is OUR mind during this painfully long month
Pretty close to mine except my brain is split between TOTK and the current Battletech kickstarter, lol
I'm just imagining the first video you do after it releases is just you petting all the dogs lmao
Oh my god, that would be so amazing! 😍
@@HyruleGamer lmao I'd be so stoked! Even if it was just like... an intro to a different video
I think the dragon head is from the Gleeok
Gotta be!
ooh ooh what if the malice vents dont send you underground but are actually portals to the demon realm where demise is from those portals could literally take you to hell that would be awesome
A dungeon inside of Death Mountain would be awesome! Also do you think that we will be able to explore under water seeing as how there was no dive option in the gameplay at the end?
I think we will yes, but not necessarily because of that
@@HyruleGamer What do you mean?
@@bencollins5520 I think there will be underwater exploration but just generally, I don't think it specifically because of that detail :D
@@HyruleGamer Like maybe they cut that prompt out for the gameplay session or they might just go about it in an entirely different way?
@@bencollins5520 Different way. Could be hinting tho. I think we'll need armour for the ability. Like in Twilight Princess
appreciate the video :))
My pleasure!
What if we have to destroy the pools of malice?
What if we leave an energy spiral wherever we complete the purification of a bit of Malice?
Did anyone else catch the translation during game play describing hyrule as an " unfamiliar Hyrule"?
Weird question: is the big fan can be used to move.... the island themselves?
The intro is me too bc the game can't come out any sooner 😭🤣
RIGHT!? 🤣
what's the music at the start of the video? feels mario-like but idk
It's the Twili
@@HyruleGamer wait i don't mean the intro music, but the music that plays ovet the totk footage at the start, when you say that's all you think about these days
When aonuma dives in the water the ascend icon lights up for a sec. Do with that info what you will….
What if the malice vents spawn enemies
I can definitely see that happening
I assumed the large fans might be use to bring the islands together
probably either that or link can catch the wind they produce with the paraglider and get launched up higher to reach other islands.
Is that the song mr krabs is listening to that makes spongebob think he’s a robot
