What do you think is the great work that God has given you a passion to achieve? I love poetry and think God has given that to me as a gift to bless others. You?
So so beautiful, Sisters! I’m an ASL signer myself and LOVE all things ASL. Combine a beautiful visual language with a beautiful song with a powerful message and it’s just majestic! Love you sisters!! Keep up the GREAT WORK!!
What an incredibly beautiful language that compliments This Great Work we are called to be a part of. Gods Great Plan of Happiness! Thank you Sisters Bennion and Pruett for bringing the spirit into my day and reminding me of the Great Work we have been given❤️
It's so totally awesome, how this great work of our Lord, continues onward. Even in this era of the pendemic < covid-19 > it's still moving onward. I personally want to thank each of our missionarys and their families. Heavenly Father's work continues on ward...
Thank you for using your beautiful gift to share with us that powerful and important message from our Father in Heaven. I love ASL and it’s significance in communicating to our brothers and sisters.
I wonder what the sisters were saying last few moments of the song. I had beginning ASL but too fast for me to capture all the words. I did see several words I understood like Jesus Christ. Thank you, the message is so beautiful.
I love His work and am so grateful to be a part! The Spirit I feel through this amazing performance confirms my witness that God lives, loves us, and has great hopes and blessings to bestow on His children.
Full of the Spirit. I have an friend that lives on the outskirts of San Diego He does not have an set address. Are there any missionaries in that area? I am praying he can meet up some how with the missionaries. He is an Christian he be open to them.
Hey sisters :) I am trying to prep a more simplified translation for our Stake Girl's Camp. AND I am not fabulous at this :) For the girls learning, I think I may need to go with a more direct signed English. I would love a transcript of the different signs you were using to translate the different parts of the songs. I am loving all that you did with this and don't recognize a few of the signs you used and I would to learn the new things I don't know yet.
So it’s Sister Bennion and Sister Pruitt, is that right?! As someone was saying below! That was so wonderful and beautiful to watch, you’re signing to that wonderful song by Nic Day, is it?! Thank you so much to the sisters and thank you to Brother Day also! I don’t know ASL, but have wanted to learn it for years! You are very fortunate to know this! And I’m assuming that your missions are also in California?! How super! Did you have or do you have deaf family members?! I guess I’ve been meeting people that go out and learn it and not necessarily have anyone who is deaf in their family! But it is so wonderful that you are reaching out to all the deaf people or hard of hearing! You almost look like you are dancing, almost Hawaiian or something! I’ve been trying to understand the signing & what the different movements mean, but it doesn’t make any sense to me! But keep up the wonderful work! And thank you again for your service, all! And much love. Sister Gay Michaelis ❤️👋♥️😇🙏
Hi sister Michaelis, To answer your questions, these two missionaries are serving in Los Angeles. Neither of them have deaf family members. They both love the language as you can see in this video, and love the deaf community in Los Angeles with all their hearts❤️ They have 2 other videos on this same channel. Check them out!
Yes, it is beautiful! I encourage anyone who wants to learn ASL (and anyone who wants to hear the gospel) to start, by studying a few words (and scriptures) at a time. I felt like you and decided to learn it, and it has blessed and improved my life (ASL & this gospel of Jesus Christ). I was able to comfort a Deaf woman who I had just witnessed in a car accident, make many great friends, and learn more and help more. Many years later my child was born Deaf/severely hard of hearing and miraculously The Lord had prepared me.
