Analog and digital modes on VHF and UHF share the same issue...line sight means those who are close enough can try to isolate your location...unlike some directed HF radios. As for cell phones, GPS or towers are not needed to get your exact location anymore.
New to THIS channel Sorry to interject. WHAT, if any, IS A GOOD Solar space heater? anyone? plse and thank you
I havnt seen solar heaters only solar generaters to run electric heaters. You would need a good sized generator as electric heaters use alot of power. probably get a propane heater, even rv heaters are propane. If that helps any.
@@coloradopackratprepper thanks that’s what I’m seeing as well except for a few from Walmart which look questionable thanks
@@mmgraff1 there are diesel heaters also that seem fairly effiecent . Ive never used one. I hav a couple Mr. Buddys propane heaters i use with 100# tanks when electric goes off in the mountains here.
The buddy heaters are great BUT if using with a hose & larger tank PUT THOSE OUTSIDE through a cracked window!!!!! Get a carbon monoxide detector too.
@@dfreak01yes my tanks are outside with the window cracked open for the hose. I put a strip of foam sealer to stop cold air from coming in too much!!!!! And a carbon monoxide detecter
What if you don't have a IPhone
Samsung Galaxy S24 or newer models also have this. To get the emergency use and later satellite text service you will have to purchase one of those models.

I have a euroipean President MCkinley and it is in export mode. So it outputs 20 watts on FM / AM and SSB> Also Steve the MCKINLEY FCC you were holding has no cooling fans on the back! My european MCKINLEY has cooling fans on the back! @Poplar Prepper My european President MCKINLEY in export mode is not FCC approved! So people in the united states do NOT get a european export mode President MCKINLEY and don't get in trouble with the FFC law!
lol buncha Elmer’s
Says the Boomer who has his cellar "bunker" all over YT. 🤣 FEMA will easily find you. Good job. WHO'S the "Elmer?" 😂😂
This is not a good video, nothing cheap about a $500 cell phone. Best bet for uniminity is not CB or any voice comm, forget DMR, it relies on the internet. Best comms are portable low power, directed RF digital text in short bursts. You can integrate time, mode or frequency hopping easily with a schedule.
