It's so cool how they're still eating something similar to this day. I'm totally going to try these. I love sweets and the mersu sound very yummy. It was really fun watching you make the mersu and hearing some facts about Mesopotamia and its diverse cultures at the same time. I also find it fascinating that mersu is still made today (maybe not using the same exact recipe, but still)! And as with the Roman bread recipe, you looked like you really enjoyed taking that first bite of the finished product, the fruits (and nuts? lol) of your labor.
Wow, I do appreciate the recipe is very straightforward and simple and not some French artisan creation that takes years of culinary school to get at. I have had these before and they are delish. Now I am going to make them. Thanks for the video, looking forward to the next foodie thing!
