- Here are 25 completely FREE music making apps for iOS. No freemium apps, no IAP's and No strings attached. There are a lot of free apps on the Appstore and I've gone through over 500 music apps, for both iPad and iPhone, just to find the most useful ones. I've managed to find Synthesizers, Drummachines, Delays, Flangers, MIDI tools and a few other goodies. However, the list isn't perfect because I was working under a strict set of rules.

Jakob you truly out did yourself with this list. I've watched many of your production and review vids over time, including for iPad. I may have been subconsciously urged with the rekindling of my love affair with Propellerhead Rebirth RB-338 in the process. By far my favorite virtual instrument bundle. For several months now, I've combined software with analog and digital hardware into my setup. With audiobus and midiflow adapter connectivity for iOS, your list takes production and performance possibilities with iPad to a higher level of consciousness. 😅 I'm just now realizing the power I have, literally, in the palm of my hand within iPad to produce great music on the go or on my couch. Thanks for sharing all of this priceless info. I new iPad and a raspberry pi with an ssd drive. Both are really fast. I have many of the apps you go over but i have been struggling with getting everybody to play nice. I’ll have a cool little studio put together once I figure out the best way to put it all together. Zero Reverb is what I use and I got it free.
I’m not certain if it’s still free or not, but I personally enjoy Zero Reverb

The CuNsP sounds like a spring-reverb simulation. Something used in old guitar amps for example.

Wrong Jacob, nanologue is not inside Cubasis. Inside Cubasis you have micrologue...lot more powerful polyfonic VA synth... And it is included for ...free...not. 😎 Thank you for good video!

That's truly amazing. Great work and very informative. Now, I m thinking on buying a second hand iPad mini 2. I only care for the synth apps since I will be using the tablet as a synth with keyboards (hopefully) . Will any of these free synth apps work in 2021 in an iPad mini 2? For guitarist, a very good one is ToneBridge. Another good one is Drumpads24, it works great as a sampler, the only thing is you have to record within the app and then export out.

"Bouncing balls" (19:00) may remind some kin of strange images. I would use "boncing dots" or another permutation less disruptive for the matter of this video. A lot of thanks anyway.
You know bouncing balls are a popular toy, right? If the phrase makes you think about "strange images" you might wanna check yourself before asking people to remove common terms from their vernacular.

Hi Jakob, I just came across another really good totally free effect called "phasedelayarray". It works inside Audiobus and is quite tweakable :O)
Bebop Synthesizer used to be paid, then went free. Looks likes a toy, but under the hood there Is a theremin-like synth

2nd, I just got Cubasis while on sale for $26 and ... Wow
3rd, Scythe is pronounced "sigh + th", not "sky+th", but it seems like English isn't your first language so you're forgiven. Which brings me to...
4th, why don't you (please) educate folks in each video with something in your first language? I'm guessing it's Swedish (?) or Finnish (?), languages which have vowels most Americans (like me) can't hear or reproduce, so -- how fun would it be to learn how to pronounce something new in each video? All I can say in Swedish is a curse phrase that made my old Swedish housemate turn bright red, so I'm down to learn more!

There’s a free reverb called zero reverb.
How about Reason Compact?
It’s a freemium app, meaning you download the core thing for free but then have to unlock the extra stuff through IAP’s. This is why I didn’t put it on this list along with a huge amount of other apps.

Jakob Haq darn. Was hoping I missed something in an update. It does make sense that they wouldn’t have support for it. Having audio stems and Link combined can be a headache to sort out.

What is the best app to make music with echo
It depends on what you are looking for exactly. ”Echo” is not really a term we use as producers. We either talk about Reverb” or “Delay”. These two effects are very different from one another. A Reverb is used to simulate rooms and spaces (Halls, Cathedrals, basement space etc). While a “delay” take an audio signal, holds it and then played it back after a set amount of time. Both effects can be colloquially referred to as “Echo”. There is no “Best” app, there is only what you need and what you like the best. You have to decide with your ears basically.

U missed the “Bandlab” APP. And the DAW mix editor on it where u can do your midi’s (keyboards, guitars, drums, strings, bass, etc.)
BANDLAB’S the best one yet for IOS, And it Staight Up FREE wit No Adds and bullshit. And “Cakewalk” by BANDLAB’s the best Free Software for PC
Bandlab can import MIDI, yes, but it doesn't read tempo changes. :/

If you’re asking about why I’m highlighting the fact that these are free is because there are a lot of lists out there with “free” apps. But those lists contains apps that are “freemium”, meaning you have to spend money on In App Purchases in order to get a full experience out of them. There’s a huge difference between free and freemium.
It wasn’t at the start actually it was when you said “So I’m on my way, and Haha!” That was funny.
the garageband by apple is also completely free, but sadly it's buggy and apple isn't updating it frequently
