Yeah I have to be in the right mood for "important" movies, I know what you're saying. I also like to be alone and in the dark when I do watch them lol
funny story about solaris. i bought it during the summer barnes and noble sale. a few weeks later i opened it and ... no disc. so calling barnes and noble (which was about an hour and a half away) they were like ... we don't have anymore in stock. so i found a contact to criterion and they sent me the disc via mail. great company! great movie! love your videos! keep up the good work!
I am very jealous of your collection, but you gotta sit down a watch 8 1/2 ASAP. It is actually a fairly easy watch honestly, it is quite funny in a lot of scenes. Nights of Cabiria is probably my second favourite of Fellini's that I have seen. I only have a collection of about 16 Criterion films, but I have seen around 100 from the collection and my 5 faves are: The 400 Blows 8 1/2 Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou Dr. Strangelove (don't actually own this one though, have the pop art steelbook instead) La Haine and are you on letterboxd?

I am on letterboxd, I’m going to post the link in the next video. I just recorded the video where I got to La Haine, it’s one of my favorites too!
