- Erlang Shen is the hardest boss in Black Myth Wukong and This NG+ Build Completely turns him into a sparing partner. He is so easy after creating this build you will be able to fight on an even level with him. This Black Myth Wukong Build guide will also teach you every locations so you can create this build for yourself. It's a Powerful build but it can only be used in NG+ at its full potential. You can Receive the dark iron staff or other pieces of the King Bulls set early but you be able to get all the King Bull horns in a single cycle in Black Myth Wukong
The Secret Boss Bishui will drop 3 horns per cycle so getting to him and taking him out is very important. Other amazing items like agate jar from chapter 1 gold spike plate from ch 3 and more will turn you into the Monkey sage that will destroy everything and you will finally become the true Destined One in Black Myth Wukong

@@LaymanGamin the axe. To avoid the just run forward. I didn’t move fast enough so I still got hit by the damage of the hit. But if you run forward you can avoid the axe and the shockwave both. Or you can just run forward and jump rope the shockwave it doesn’t matter but don’t just stand there and try to dodge

ng+ with full Bull King armor and staff made Erlang a joke. I was surprised how easy it was.
It truly was… when i went in there and beat him my first go with this set I thought I just got lucky I reset and then noticed that I was snatching this man’s life with no effort I had to make a video about it. Being able to ignore a lot of what he does was insane. Glad you beat him down tho!

The game is easy on the 1st to 3rd play through. On the 4th playthrough he will wreck you. I'm stuck on him atm. The fan is a must on the 4th playthrough, but you won't be able to do much damage. Some moves will one shot you. Also, I made a mistake, and I didn't fight him on my first run and now in order to get the last upgrade will be a pain. This Build is good though I have been using it for awhile. The game changes drastically after the 3rd run as far as difficulty for this boss at least.
Interesting thank you for letting me know this. Im currently only on the 2nd cycle so I will be casually going into the next couple of cycles soon. However I want to have another character to at least the 2nd cycle before the DLC drops in February so yeah this information helps a lot
@MSenseiHD I am going to try more variation of this build if I can't get close to defeating the boss. I'll just run a new game, maybe.

@@Dakkadot01 when you create this build yes it slaps but people are saying in NG+4 Erlang is too tough? im not sure because im not planning on going that far but yeah.. im gonna do some testing to see the best build for the game

@@Dakkadot01 besides? I will have to do some serious testing because I think to get the most out of these sets we need to also lean into more stances and armor sets to see that potential. If I get enough solid info I might make a video on it. But decent staffs that I might use are jingubang for sure and the adept spine mythical those are just decent staffs in the game for utility and 4 focus point damage
Use secret armor c6 with dark iron staff. Defense 900+ so attack absolutely skyrockets.
"Goodbye, my almost lover, goodbye Erlang". Finally beat him, without a doubt a challenge. What worked for me best ? As summon / ghost the red haired Yaksha. It does some damage and increases damage of heavy attack when equipped.
Armor ? Goldarmor that increases Qui with crits AND (I beat him in New Game, not in the first run) using the staff that has a high crit rate, you can't get it in your first run, the Fuban staff (25% crit probability, imho best staff for this boss in the game).
Max Mana and the ghost step is the life saver with this boss.
Spell equipped the rock transformation (Azure dust I believe). First phase just freeze the guy and whirling / spinning hits, then a loaded heavy hit or two, phase 2 after he lands use the rock transformation that destroys his armor. Do not yet use the fan !
In phase 3, use the fan and hit the s*** out of him. Learn his attack patterns before, and make sure you hit him with the whirling attack -> builds up qui thanks to many crits.
In phase 4, the rock transformation again.
thats a solid rotation. I did something similar to this on my very first cycle of him. Congrats on taking him down!
@@MSenseiHD Thanks for answering . The first run, no Erlang for me. The second run, I believe the staff was the rescue because it reloaded the qui quicker thanks to more crits !

There is a secret armor set you can get in chapter 6 in NG+ that has the same name as the Monkey King set that increases defense based on how many relic upgrades you have. It's defense at around the third playthrough is higher than the bull king set.

@@MSenseiHD I have question why isn't the destined one moving when I'm fighting the last heavenly king he is just standing there I can't move the camera or the character the last heavenly king can still attack the destined one but the destined one isn't losing life or anything
@@tswj ???? That’s the first time I have ever heard of that. During my recording time erlang did something similar. I used a transformation and when I reverted back he completely stop attacking me and started to circle around me. I had to turn the game off and on and redo the fight but yet

@MSenseiHD I'm just about to finish chapter 5 and I just fully up the pilgrim set to mythical and have been using spellbinder because I absolutely love it should I change something up before then?
You have to get the good ending to unlock the 6th relic. You'll need to get it 3 times to unlock the 6th relic full potential, and Erlang is harder to beat on each playthrough. You definitely should kill him on your first playthrough.
@@Fredgilb29 he was much easier my second playthrough I walked this man! Like I don’t understand what everyone is saying that he is harder for someone reason. I killed him with 4 different builds and this one build was the easiest by far so that’s why I posted it. And this is the build I’m least familiar with. I looked at the descriptions pulled some curios together and got him the first fight then reverted back to my previous save and continue to literally slap him around with this build. Now I don’t know what he is like on NG+ 3 because I’m not there but I’m really not impressed at all at the NG+2 version of him.

Why use great budha? U dont have crit.. im sugesting u use tiger tally, i think its better
I would never use tiger tally because I don’t do light combos like that I would much rather immobilize and charge. And with the amount go spins you get of a staff spin you will hit the crit you need plus u take pills it raise the crit because of the relic. It’s all apart of the build but thanks for your suggestion
You can do more damage with more crit chance, 9% with your rarities and 15% with your gourd. The agate jar isnt worth it and you can have more than one gold spikeplate. Also buddha beast isnt worth it with your 6% crit chance.
That’s what LAAP and relic are for. Your crit chance is only sitting at 6% base when you take a medicine it instantly goes up if you take LAAP it’s goes even higher nothing is being wasted here it can just be optimized differently if you mean to push it that way. I don’t need more damage for crit when I already know the fight and know exactly how to make my damage work for me. Crit is nice with this build but isn’t what I was personally pushing for.
How you unlock the 6 relic to use the same move with the clones?
You have to defeat erlang and go into NG+ you will unlock the unified minds ability in the new relic

I didn’t get one in my second cycle? I have no idea why… it just wouldn’t drop at all. But I people have told me they have more then one and asked me why I didn’t use more then one. I do think 3 is the cap of curios tho. Because all of my other items are basically up to three and I have never received a 4th just yet
Do you get anything new from beating him in NG+?
You get to unlock the next part of the relic I know that much but nothing new. I keep beating him just to learn every second of the fight. I will beat him and save later tonight if he gives you something new like a weapon upgrade or something I’ll let you know in this comment

@@MSenseiHD appreciate you, just finished great sage going to tackle this next in NG+ with the strategy. I’ve actually been using this exact build but for whatever reason, your attack and defense are higher. Everything maxed out in the skills tree too… any thoughts?

@@friendly9182 my attack and defense? What spirit are you using. Different spirits will affect you in different ways. Also look into your transformation did you put points into defense there. That will raise your stats even further.
Also take a look at your gourd and your soaks are you using the tender jade lotus. All of these things will effect your defenses which will raise your offense

Thats a great question. Currently I dont have two spike plate curios. and I wanted to get my crit hit damage back up because it really does make a difference
