If the boards were vertical instead the axe would go in much easier because the head would be going with the grain of the wood. Hope your hand is ok!
Quite right! When I rebuilt it I switched them around to the vertical orientation and it works a treat :) hand is good thanks. Took a little while and had to have stitches etc but all good now :)
