Excellent video! A lot of work and aggravation for such a simple fix. Thanks for producing this, it is very helpful! Got an '88 Fleetwood Brougham with the same problem on the driver's side.
Thank You Sir!! Just had to replace the same thing in my 92. This video really helped. I was able to snap it together with channel locks. My C clamp was too big!
Mine: '89 Coupe Deville. Same thing happened last year to drive's side. NEVER CLOSE THE DOORS WITH THE WINDOW DOWN! lol Ordered the little sliders off Amazon and did the job meself rather than take to auto repair shop and have 9 more spares as these will probably fail in the AZ heat. THANK YOU! The C-clamp was genius! -JonnyO
i have no idea if you still have this car or not but if you get the factory service manual for this car (they are around 20 bucks or less on ebay) it would help you a great deal. it would have every step and picture of how to do this and many other things. the chilton manuals for this year of caddy are terrible because the chilton book tries to cover like 20 years and 10 different models with very generic pics. the factory service manual is the exact book the dealer techs used to service these cars. to me its a must have for these and it keeps you from running in the house to the internet every five minutes.
I just recently bought an 89 Coupe DeVille from the original owner and found the factory service manual in the trunk. It's already come in handy a few times. Good suggestion!
Nice video. Did the same thing on my 89 Coupe DeVille. My only suggestion would be to lubricate the track that the plastic bushing rides in with white lithium grease. You can hear it struggling a bit as the window goes up and down without any lubrication.
Nice!! I have the same 93 SDV. Looks like fun!! I saw this done on a Buick roadmaster as well. I like your way better. Saving your video Incase I need it! Thanks for the upload!
just got an 88’ coupe deville with the passenger door having the same problem. saved me so much time thanks!
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching!!!

White Lithium grease, the new part center hole and some in the track would make life much easier.
Great advice. Thanks for watching!
Recently got a 91 Cadillac deville 70000 miles on it but both windows in the front have the same problem
Thanks for watching! It was much easier than I expected to fix the window.
I have a 1991 Deville. All the power windows stop working. And all the fuses work. Help me please
I wish I could but I have no idea.
I need your help please. Sir if you still have the caddy can you measure the rear speaker deck for me? Length x width
Do you still need the measurements?
Not bad at all⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you!
