Excellent work son you sure know those little tricks to continue maintaining these beautiful broughams. I'm sure this is something that will help others if needed to keep their brougham in a working order. Keep up the how to do videos they are very helpful. Papa 🐻 ❤
Bless your heart Anthony for this. I've had 4 92 Broughams and every single driver seat was like this. I used to just live with it. Thanks so much for this. I have to do this job really soon.
Loved this video!!! Keep these coming! I really can't wait for spring when the snow is gone and we can see some of these cars cleaned up and ready to go!!
FYI : # 3 square bit is a Robertson head driver- a common Canadian screw head. Also dont let anyone tell you the used car business is easy... love your videos
I bought a 87’ brougham d’elegance when I was in the military and I traded it in to finance another vehicle to boost my credit and I’ve regretted it ever since. These cars are so beautiful to have a car from the late 80’s early 90’s that has things like automatic headlight dimmers and rides so smoothly is a work of art. I love the channel bud keep up the great work!!
Anthony, this was fascinating. I always imagined that it was the seat padding that interferes with the motor mechanicals, over time. Now I have a better understanding of the power recliner operation. From a functional view, I see no difference between a manual versus power recliner. But luxury kudos goes to the power recliner, it's a Cadillac thing!
Great video bud! Try using WD40 Lithium Edition. It is a little more expensive but leaves a nice milky lube behind preserving the lubricant much longer. Works better in hinges & stuff like this
I always enjoy the videos of you and papa bear … I don’t know if you like the newer Cadillacs but I just bought a new CT5-V … I still love the older ones , nothing rides like that do ❤️
You should do the Lincoln town car power seats like I'm having trouble with my 2010 sticking or freezing up on me on the drivers side. How to videos are great because learning how to fix these cars with their many power options can be expensive on easy fixes. 👍
Anthony I thank you for all the great videos, please remember to make a how-to video on cleaning the fabric cover on the 95-97 Town Cars… Big hug to Papa Bear 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼🙏🏻🛠🔩⚙️🚙🚗
That was enjoyable to see. I think it was great. I did the same thing for a 1995 and 1996 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight. It is fun repairing things on cars and learning new things. It is interesting to observe and learn what makes things work. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome video! I love learning new things! You're the man!!! I already fixed my boss'es and his mother in law's seats and got a promotion! I'm his right hand man now! Thanks bro! Please make more of these kinds of videos!
Anthony, thanks so much for your informative video. I have an '85 Biarritz Eldorado with the exact same problem (it's been in storage for several years). Go ahead, make my day, and you did!
Anthony great demonstration, but was hoping to see it performed on the Red Sunfire Mist Cadillac...lol I recognize the low profile ratchet socket set you were using. Very nice! Give Papa Bear a big hug from us! 🐻😉😂🐶 🇺🇸
That’s a great how to tip Anthony, especially using the ratchet tool for the really bound up side. Does this happen to the power window motors also from lack of use?
Great video ! Of course had to go check if mine work 😂 The white one I bought from you works … the gray one I gotta fix . The gray car worked when I bought it but it’s in the position I want it but I’m gonna try your fix!
Hi Anthony & Papa, bear . Anthony, you just saved many people good money in showing that $350 Trick. A lot of robbers out there would charge you labor time and even add in the price of the trans regulator for that seat. GREAT JOB 👍 A DEFINITE CHIP OFF THE OLD BLOCK. KEEP THE HIDDEN SECRETS (TIPS) COMING.. THANKS FOR YOUR GENEROSITY IT GOES ALONG WAY....STAY WARM ALWAYS GOD BLESS YOU GUYS.!!!
Great video!!! Just did my passenger seat on my 91 brougham it was very easy to do. Would love more HOW TO VIDEOS like trunk Lock&hood emblem replacement, Opera Light fixes, Radio attena fix the usual lol. Thank you very much love all your videos!
Great job Anthony!!👍 Love these types of videos I've been following this channel for years if possible can you make one on the power antenna please mine has been stuck in the upright position since the late 90s she's an 89 low miles brougham left to me from my grandfather!! Once again thanks Rich from Jacksonville,Florida!!👍😎
Thank you for showing me how to get in under, my '90 coupe de the seat will not come to the upright position from the recline, it moves back and ahead, from a very recline to not an upright enough.. it is as if this auto had a very large driver and someone had to do something to accomidate a very large gut. I just bought this used car 149k miles in very good shape, it needs some minor fixes, the toggle cover for the right side window, the , the courticie light for the bottom of the passengers door, the chrome trim for the right wheel well, and a right side head lamp glass, hope that I can find these parts up here in northern B. C.
Hey there Anthony! This is something that happens with the window regulators on alot of 80s ans 90s ford/mercury/Lincoln products also, I've found that while PB or WD40 works, Mac's white lithium grease is the way to go for a quicker/more permanent fix. Try some out, see how it does for you
Wow , This Is Nice Stuff And I Was Thinking The Other Day Who Is Gonna Put Out Videos On Maintaining Older Cadillacs And Keeping Them Looking Nice ... Thanks Anthony 👍

Back in the late 80s these types of Cadillacs were my grandpa’s dream car. At the time he could only afford Buick Riviera’s
Buick Rivieras were very nice cars too!!
@@christopherkraft1327 Had a beautiful 1985 Riviera black exterior gray interior Bose sound system and wire wheel covers. Miss that car a lot.
In the present day these types of Cadillacs are my dream car. At the time i could only afford a Cadillac CTS
Great job lubing that shaft
Pretty sure you just saved a bunch of Cadillac owners some headaches!! Very cool!!

Very informative. Thanks for the video Anthony. Have a great weekend
Back in 89' Grandma had the Caddy and Grandpa had the 5 series Bimmer.....both had their merits, but the back seat in the Caddy was PLUSH!!
You are a skilled man. Excellent work.
Thanks. I was very enlightened by that please do more
Nice to see you return the Caddy to its former glory.
This blew my mind. Thanks for this video. Would have never known this.
Great video Anthony. My seats are fine now, but now I know how to repair them if they ever stop working.
Another great money-saving tip!
I'm glad you got the power seat recliner fixed on this Fleetwood brougham which is pretty easy I enjoyed the video I would love to see more videos
Great video bud! Try using WD40 Lithium Edition. It is a little more expensive but leaves a nice milky lube behind preserving the lubricant much longer. Works better in hinges & stuff like this

Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!
Hey Anthony you think it would make more easy to use a hair dryer to heat up the leather first or no
Great practical tuition video. Ideal for all Cadillac enthusiasts all over the globe.
Thanks, Anthony, this video was very helpful! Please bring on more "how-tos" from Anthony's garage.
Thanks for the feedback
Simple yet very effective repair. Nice work!
I'm so glad to see this
Great video Anthony, your truly a curator of these fine caddys
Thanks for this tip Anthony, with Caddy's sometimes it's always good to know how to fix!
A dealer would probably want to replace everything and charge you a million bucks.
Who knows how much money you just saved people...👍 Thanks
Nice job Anthony, great car. Your a real good car person. My car is so much older (1949) I only use it on long rides.
That 49 is one of the most beautiful cars made back then!
Thank you for the knowledge
Thanks!!! I was looking for new seats until I found this video. It worked!!!
I sure do hope this technique works on my 1995 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight. Thanks!
I would think it would if the set up is the same. Probably used in a lot of GM cars.
Its Cool i just got me a Cadillac deville 2001 its clean car white i need some rims and white walls
I can admagen how many seats were replaced to resolve that problem. Can I use this technique for my Lincoln town car seats?
Great video Anthony. Obviously the lubrication that they used at the factory on that screw drive turns to gum over time.
Another excellent video..Thank you Anthony 👍
Thank you!
Informative video, as always.
Good tip Anthony
Great info sir
Thank you for a simple explanation. I'll put it in my memory tool box.
Looks like the cable that I use on my bike to connect the front wheel to speedometer. Interesting to see on a seat too.
Anthony, thanks so much for your informative video. I have an '85 Biarritz Eldorado with the exact same problem (it's been in storage for several years). Go ahead, make my day, and you did!
good job showing how to fix an auto recliner
