    Speaker: A cultural psychiatrist and social scientist, Neil Krishan Aggarwal is a Professor of Clinical Psychiatry and a Member of the Committee on Global Thought, both at Columbia University. His main areas of research interest are translating medical anthropological theories for clinical practice as they relate to cross-cultural assessment, diagnostic interpretation, and treatment planning. His work on developing and implementing cross-cultural assessments in community-based settings has been funded by the American Psychiatric Association, National Institutes of Health, and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, among other agencies.
