- Today's the 40th anniversary of the release of the classic Joe Dante/Chris Columbus/Steven Spielberg horror-comedy "Gremlins!" And so, Zak Wolf is commemorating this with one of his signature read-along book-and-audio reviews, playing Disney/Buena Vista Records's "Gremlins" read-along tie-in on his record player featuring cartoon voice actors, 1980s stock sound effects, and the usual Disney read-along stock music. Gizmo himself makes an appearance near the end!
You can hear the original HERE:

Happy 40th Anniversary Gremlins
Happy 40th anniversary to Gremlins! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
The gremlins were watching Snow White in that theater. Didn't know that. And the film had just had its latest re-release in 1983 a year earlier. Plus, three years after this feature, Snow White had its 50th anniversary re-release. Oh yeah, and in the background of that scene, there's the poster for the 1983 re-release that can be spotted.
It's the 40th anniversary of both Gremlins and Ghostbusters today.
To be honest, it made me kinda smile when I watched those gremlins sing along to the high ho song
0:58 Also Gizmo and Stripe are playable character in the new Crossover Multiplayer game ''Multiversus'' made by Warner Bros.
Takes place during Christmas, despite being released months before that holiday. But then there's also Christmas In July. And also my birthday, which is in one month from yesterday, and I'll be 26.
Fun Fact: Gremlins, along with Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (another Spielberg project which came out the exact same year) gave birth to the PG-13 rating. When kids and families went to see Gremlins in theaters, and by the time it was over. Everyone, especially parents, left the theater shocked and disgusted of how unexpectedly violent it was and how they were expecting a movie that was similar to E.T. which was about a boy bonding with a cuddly creature. But instead they got a film which a friend of mine describes as kids watching the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
I knew you were going to point that out, because I can certainly tell why the PG13 rating was quite a latecomer into the MPAA ratings system sixteen years within its overall effectiveness. I’m just glad he acknowledged the subject in which he reviewed this read-along tie-in for marking the triumphant comeback of the classic golden WB shield adorned with its banner and cloudy backdrop, complete with a newly orchestrated version of the Max Steiner fanfare to mark that nature. I had the instinct of doing some research and was surprised to find out after seeing that particular episode of YBF91’s Logo Corner series that I’ve recently been revisiting:

Nice Video! I can't wait to see your Muppets Takes Manhattan book-and-audio read along soon!
Steven Spielberg does E.T. (1982, Universal), Gremlins (1984, Warner Bros.) and Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988, Touchstone).
Awesome video. Happy 4th anniversary GREMLINS.
By the time Gremlins turned 40, I already won a giant Gizmo plush during a hot dog fest me and my dad attended last Sunday.
wow and also did you hear about Metv Toon coming soon
Yep; it's going to air in the Boston area!
@@ZakWolf cool I can't wait to see it :D
It's coming this Tuesday!
Hi Gizmo 19:57!
Nice
Would you like to do If Tom And Jerry: The Magic Ring uses the Warner Bros. Trombone Gobble?
Can you please do a golden book review of Super Mario Bros. - Trapped in the Perilous Pit? I think it would be really awesome! Thanks.
Billy in the real along sounded like Spike from the G1 Transformers cartoon.
Same voice actor: Corey Burton.
In honor of the 55th anniversary of the moon landing, you, me, Madly Plays, NateGaming2005, and Standrew should co-host a YTP collab that will be announced either this June or this July. It's called The Astrosmurf + Dreamy's Pen Pals YTP Collab (This is the working title for the collab). It'll be a YTP collab based on the episodes The Astrosmurf and Dreamy's Pen Pals. The announcement video and the full collab will be uploaded onto your channel.
Together we can invite the following UA-camrs to the collab:

Rules:
No dead may mays/dead memes in the collab (A rule that was used in The SteamLord's Treehouse of Horror YTP Collab series)
You must make two UA-cam Poop collab entries: one based on The Astrosmurf and the other based on Dreamy's Pen Pals.
Your entry must be from 30 seconds to 6 minutes long.
Watermark
You must use the syndicated Smurfs' Adventures intro
Try not to use a movie editor with a built in watermark.
Curse words and sex jokes are allowed.
If you can, remove black bars so the collab can run smoothly.
Since Zak Wolf is the main host (with me, Madly Plays, NateGaming2005, and Standrew co-hosting), don't forget to include clips and/or audio from Pac-Man (1982), Saturday Supercade, The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, The Legend of Zelda, Captain N: The Game Master, The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog, Link: The Faces of Evil, Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon, Hotel Mario, I.M. Meen, and Sonic Underground.
This collab was originally going to be a YTP Collab based on the One Foot in the Grave episode of Happy Tree Friends in honor of the 25th episode of Happy Tree Friends, but due to me remembering that this year is the anniversary of the moon landing, it was replaced by the Astrosmurf + Dreamy's Pen Pals YTP Collab.
If this collab is a success, you can remake Yoshimaniac's Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse Catastrophe video with the same cast as your Smurfs YTP Collab. Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse Catastrophe is a UA-cam Poop Collab made by Yoshimaniac. Your remake of Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse Catastrophe will be themed to Mickey's Adventures in Wonderland instead of Mickey Go Seek.
And also today is Donald Duck's 90th birthday.
