I came in second place at the 1981 Space Invaders competition in Toronto. I won dinner for four at an Italian restaurant. I was addicted to this game from 80-82.

I've started to play this recently, for the first time since the early 80's. It's tedious firing a certain number of shots to get 300 points for the saucer. I've played loads of games recently and I only get 150 points max. Also it's not good exploiting the fact the invaders don't drop bombs in the bottom row. Just shoot them as they come, it's more exciting!
I remember the first time I saw this game, the screen was black and white. There was a color filter with different color stripes to give the feeling of the color on the screen.
Sure I had that one in my SI playlist? Could not find it. I remember that, too. Funny history! If you want, I might try and do it for you? Thanks for watching! :)

This player seemed way too concerned about shooting the flying saucers and too little concerned about the swarm of aliens descending on his a$$.
