Omg yes I agree. My face palette is Juvia's Place Warrior 2 palette. It's got a matte black, off white, cool toned beige, warm browns and a dark grey that's great for my dark brows. It doesn't blend very well tho but very pigmented
Last year I did a project pan and one eyeshadow pallete I had since 2016 (I know it was probably expired and gross) was the first goal, at least 4 pans by the end of year and I'd throw it away. Ended up getting 6 and 4 of those were using some shades as face makeup and 1 was from using a shade for my eyebrows
in hs i used to do my lip liner, eyes and eyebrows with one palette lmao
Finally someone actually talking about using eye primer on the nose! It's the only thing I've found that stops my glasses removing my base where they sit
A few months ago I started actually doing my makeup and thought of starting buying foundation, contour, etc. Things that honestly I don't need and realistically wouldn't use and would just be a waste of money and makeup. So I try to actually think before buying. Love your videos I have learned a lot 💜🖤

Wow, love your video. As a 67 year old re-discovering makeup again, I particularly appreciate your guidance on brush positions and how to use them. Back “in the day” hands were mostly your tool and those little tiny stiff brushes that came with eyeshadows and blushes. LOL

I don’t think Robert fully realizes how exceptional he is as a teacher, or how much it means to us. I never thought I would master “glam” techniques & now I can do everything but contour (I have a bony face, I’m always trying to fluff it up lol, not look even more skeletal, which I’ve gotten good at!), I just love being able to do eyeshadow looks that mystified me just five years ago

I’ve always used my eye primer as a concealer in a pinch and it works; plus it helps if you do decide to put on concealer

At this point I use anything on anything and it works fantastically tbh (with the exception of red lip+cheek products on my eyes) It's just paint for your face! And playing around with new formulas can be super fun

I was broke and I had improvised with makeup before.
I bought foundation that turned out to be slightly too fair for my skin tone, so I'm using it as a highlighter and concealer.
I also use brown eyeshadow to contour my nose bridge and pink eyeshadow as blush. I barely use black and dark grey eyeshadows for their intended purpose, so I use them to fill my brows as I find that using an eyebrow pencil to fill in my eyebrows resulted in an overly-harsh look.
I would love a video on the best eyeshadow sticks! I have the julep ones and they are so so. There are so many to choose from and so many new ones coming out it’s a bit overwhelming trying to decide which brand to try next. love u and your videos tysm!!

That dewy setting spray has saved my life as a primer when moving to the humid ass country that's Northern Ireland. Actual primers just don't work on my combo skin in this weather. But that primer was so good. I also feel I can skip moisturizer (while still using a toner and a bit of serum) because of how hydrating it is. Make up actually lasts longer than 45 minutes. I can go to Tesco and come back and things still look fine. Even if I get a little rained on. Which feels like every day.
Will defo have to get that eye primer

What a brilliant video, I’m getting overwhelmed at the minute with the endless new beauty products and all the overconsumption. Love the idea of using these products to prevent over complicating things ❤
I thank you greatly for introducing me to the sigma eye primer! This year if I sprayed the o/s setting spray first, then the eye primer and setting spray again after eye look is done, it helped the makeup stick around longer than it used to than when I just used the urban decay or too faced primers. I swear A LOT in the hot and humid but did fairly well this year at the Renaissance festival.
Such a versatile eyeshadow palette! Having dry skin & eczema I struggle with powder products for the face, I tend to use creams so I don't think it'd work for me but it's such a great idea! I use my liquid blush which is a slightly peachy-pink mixed with a dot of my summer concealer (darker for when I have a tan) as a colour corrector for my dark circles under my foundation & it works great! Used it in a pinch when I'd run out of my colour corrector but it worked so well I ended up not buying more & just sticking with it to save an extra few quid :p
I’ve noticed contour over bronzer looks way better than Vice Versa. You are the first I’ve seen do this.

GIRL, YES. I LIVE for multi-purpose products; I've been using an eyeshadow primer on my nose and chin during my oilier days since my teens (now in my 30s, wtf just happened) (also used under where my glasses sit to help reduce them slipping lol), and people constantly think I'm insane for suggesting it to people with longevity issues that are just in certain areas of the face, BUT IT IS JUST SUCH A GOOD FIX that doesn't need a whole extra "face primer" product just for those certain areas when we already have an eyeshadow primer meant FOR the same purpose.
Forget Me Not by Blend Bunny is currently on sale for $15 USD. I use it religiously and together with All Done Up and Dollhouse it's all I need in my bridal kit for eyes, bronzing, and contour.

I bought the d'alba serum spray. I use it every day. It makes the skin glowy and beautiful. Sometimes, I'll spray that and use moisturizer and be done. I also love the Elf duo complexion brush. I use it for everything.

I recently bought the Mírame palette from Aora México and I really like it, but for some reason I couldn’t find any reviews for it on UA-cam before I bought it. It’s a shame bc I really feel like people are sleeping on this brand, so if you’re looking to try something new I would recommend it. And I think it’s a fairly versatile palette as the pink and orange shades can be used as blush, and the lighter metallics can be used as highlighter. I’d love to know what you think, Robert!

Recently rediscovered some Sephora crayon lipsticks in a kind of browny pink that I had forgotten about. Used it to bronze and to color my cheeks, as face contour, brow contour, lip color (of course) and eye shadow! It was fantastic.
I’ve been using the MUA Academy nude pallette shades as contour and highlight as well on on the eyes, after one of your previous videos 🙂

Enjoyed this video, Robert! And yes, its lovely to use such products that are so versatile, especially when travelling... I have the Item Beauty On The Daily eyeshadow palette that I received as a gift, and it works pretty similarly... I can use that one palette for eyeshadow, liner, some shimmer, brows, contour, bronzer, blush, highlight, hairline touch ups and if under some lip gloss, even as lip color! It may not be perfect for every skin tone, but it works fine for me when I mix up some shades as required. I've a medium-tan skintone warm undertones, for reference. Once I run out of eyeshadow palettes (never really happens, just gotta toss them when expired but I'm a hoarder haha), I'm gonna buy one of your recommendations, Robert!

I wish I liked the elf power grip primer. I bought two separate bottles and even after shaking vigorously before spraying, the sprayers became clogged immediately and couldn’t be unstuck. Mentally it just gave up and returned them.
