You can't argue with the product quality. We had a roll over 2 years ago in our County. A one ton hauling a Arctic Fox 990. The camper remained securely mounted to the truck thanks to the Torklift frame mounts and fast guns. Am I pushing product? Absolutely if it's saving life's. The gas leak detector could also save lives, at less then 15 bucks it is a valuable tool in any tool box. Lastly You can't argue that a back up camera isn't important on a truck camper. I know first hand its hard to see, or hear emergency vehicles when they are tail gating. I don't want my channel to feel like you are watching QVC, but i thought these were good products. Jim you hopefully have learned by now that UA-cam is a business. Free swag to try out and making a video telling us what they think about the item is basically a free consumer reports review. Food for thought.
@@KennyOfAllTrades ignore these naysayers, I can appreciate your response but it is completely unnecessary!! You're content is fantastic and a few product reviews here and there are much appreciated! Keep 'em coming Kenny and "we'll see ya down the road".
I just bought my 1st TC and I hate learning curves and spending money on things I don’t need or bad products. I really appreciate this video and the reviews! Thanks!
I absolutely agree with you on the fastgun tie downs. Just like you Kenny, been there done that. I got mine a couple years ago and cannot believe I had spent all that time and money fooling around with junk. In my opinion a must.
We just bought an Arctic Fox 865 . We are absolute newbie’s to truck camping. We need all the help we can get. We are finding your videos very informative and well done. Thank you Kenny.
Is what an awesome camper!!! I love the panorama view that the 865 has from the back. I also like how the bathroom and refrigerator separate the kitchen and bedroom. That's an awesome camper!
Your first truck should have been a Chevy, with the Deluxe Camper Package. It comes with Frame mounted tie downs, the 4 turnbuckles, shocks between the cab and the bed, and 2 dampers (front underneath the overhang to fender in front of the cab). Heavy duty radiator, and 8 plug wiring to the bed.
That reverse camera is on another level! You should become an amazon affiliate, you'll get shortened links and a little commission instead of amazon keeping it all. Great informational video
Thanks Matt. So I'll be the first to admit I'm NOT computer savvy. I tried to setup the affiliate links...I couldn't get it to work. I'll have to ask one of my daughters to help me out. Thanks for the shout out the other night. I had a nice boost in subs the last few days!
@@KennyOfAllTrades No problem, hopefully the video blows up and you get a lot more. Yeah the Amazon affiliate thing can really help bring in a little more passive income, just include links to all the stuff you use in the description of your video or if you talk about something. Helps the viewers that are interested find what you use and Amazon gives you a little cut since you sent the traffic.
Glad to hear Torklift took care of you! One of our first trips out with our TC a couple years ago was on a bouncy mountain road, and we were using a 2" foam panel in the bed under the camper. Somewhere along the way, the camper slid over to one side, hard up against the wheel well, and luckily I happened to see one of my Fastguns swinging in the breeze before I lost it completely!
I can confirm the camera works wonders, I ordered one after watching a previous video. These videos have been a fantastic resource getting started in the camper world. Great video as always Kenny!
Hi Kenny, this was a terrific video. I have a propane detector. I bought it because our regulator actually failed and had a recall on it. Everyone should have one. I do like your rear view mirror rear camera set up. Thank for this extra video.
Congratulations! You have just out performed all shop mechanics, would be comedians, sales people, professional sales guides and hopeless mumblers and repeaters to get me to subscribe to your channel and the first to asked to be notified.
Very cool. I appreciate that. I'll be honest with you, I don't do a lot of this style of videos. I am mainly a camping channel. My thing is finding remote dispersed campsites in Northern Minnesota. Every once in a while, I'll stay at established campgrounds. My videos drop every Tuesday. I work a regular job Monday through Friday and go camping on the weekends. So my style of camping may look different from the full-time Rv channels. But I'm in the woods every weekend, so you will get to see the changing of the seasons in Minnesota. Thanks for subscribing.
I saw a guy who took his Happyjacks off after loading and putting them in his back seat storage space. He took the bottom and back of seat and put plywood down and he had no back seat at all and if your jacks set low you might want to take the off and put behind the front seats. Good ideal if you are worried about damage or tearing them off and each Jack only has 3 nuts and a power plug so if you are getting off the road this may help your self. And I hand never seen anybody do that. Keeps jacks clean and dry and safe. Happy Camping !!!
Torklift is definitely worth the money, I have yet to regret buying any of their products. Love the tie down systems!! I don't have the fastguns as my camper came with the happijac equivalent, which also work well. Great info, thanks for sharing!!
Great information in this video! I have a late model Chev 3500 with the 360° camera option. However, when I remove the tailgate from the truck to put on the camper, none of the cameras work. To solve this issue, I purchased the tailgate wiring harness and camera from the GM dealership. I then installed the new camera into the bumper of my truck camper and plugged it into the truck harness. All of the cameras came back to life and I now have my 360° camera view back! I'm also a Torklift fan. Good on them for supplying you with a new set of tie-downs!
What a nice non-Tuesday surprise video to get a notification on! Excellent information and educational video sir, job well done! And congratulations on having the sponsorships coming in for you, shows your channel is not only growing but gaining the attention of manufacturers…you go man, you go!
Excellent video (even though I’m late). I ordered the combustible sniffer right off. Great idea! Getting the rear view mirror camera soon. Thanks a bunch! I love product review/recommendation videos from those that really use the products (especially like the fast guns) which I bought before I even got my camper, along with the Torq-lift tie downs that mount to my frame. The whole setup works great! Take care, safe travels.
Thanks! I had a hose go bad in the same location. The camper was only a year old and finding the exact location of the leak was a bear. Ordered one. The fastguns are great as well.
That little leak was a head scratcher. I could smell it in the camper almost better then standing outside. The gas sniffer worked like a charm though. If I hadn't recently changed the tank I would have assumed the leak was inside the camper.
Kenny, Thank you!!! The gas sniffer is a great item to have. I ordered one for each one of my boys and myself. Really a great price with your discount. Love your rearview mirror camera display. Great items Kenny! Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family!
Great video!! I just stumbled across your video. I just got myself a 1997 Lance 990 legend and spent 4 weeks in it for work in cold weather. I live in Canada. Hope to do some more winter camping in it. Just took it off my truck for the first time!!!
Hay Lee, Winter camping is my favorite. The nice thing about winter is not many people are out. The bad thing is it's dark by 430, and that ok unless your trying to make videos. I made a play list of last year's winter camping adventures. I saw some reallly cool places. I usually film on Saturdays and Sundays and get a video out every Tuesday at 5pm central time. A lot of people follow along to see the changing of the seasons here in Minnesota. There probably not much diffrent then you see in Canada though. I hope you enjoy the Lance as much as I do my Arctic Fox. It's an older model as well, a 2004. These older rigs seem to hold up well though.
@@KennyOfAllTrades I haven’t done any up till this past month. Ontario doesn’t have much winter camping places. I grew up in BC and many there and only $13 a night. I bought the torque fast guns too and love them. I bought the locks right away too. I checked out the pt200 and pt199 gas sensor too thanks to you and will buy. I have a back up camera but like your set up . Hope to enjoy many years with the camper.
For quite a number of years my brother was using the typical turnbuckle with length of chain that the installers put on his truck at the camper dealer but they were a pain in the butt to use if taking the camper on and off but also I believe he had issues where they would slack off, the turn buckle slowly turning and I think one of the front frame mounts tweaked a bit as well as they were a goofy design and just not strong enough. Then a few years ago he finally had enough of that and bought the torklift frame mounts and the fastguns and no they do not come cheap ( I think he bought the stainless fastguns ) and is far happier with the whole system. Oh and he put clasp pins in the fastguns !
You are right, they are expensive. I think that's why I waited so long to get them. After running them it would be hard to switch to anything else though. I bet most of us start with old fashioned turnbuckles, or ratchet straps fastened to just about anywhere we could.
@@KennyOfAllTrades That reminds me of a full size camper my dad bought way back in the early 1970's when I was a kid and also bought a 1969 GMC 3/4 ton. Literally the camper dealer in Edmonton screwed on hooks that took two sheet metal screws each right onto the side of the truck box body for both the front and rear turn buckles. While its totally laughable and shocking to think of now, the fact is those hooks stayed put into that sheet metal and turnbuckles were standard fare back in those days, ratchet straps probably had not been invented yet. Now try that stunt with an aluminum Ford beer can box and see how that works out 😆
💯 They were built so much better back then. I remember doing hood slides just like Bo and Luke back in the day. Can you imagine doing that on a new car! The insurance company would probably total out the vehicle. Lol
I've upgraded to 15" pigtails, so they don't make such a tight bend when connecting to the propane tanks. I wish Northwood would use 15" pigtails instead of 12". I had one of my 1 year old pigtails start leaking. When I replaced the leaker, I ordered a second pigtail, so I now carry a spare.
@@KennyOfAllTrades I really like the 992, especially the "dry bath". My camper is a base camp for my dual sport motorcycling. I get hot, sweaty and dusty while riding, so I use the shower every day. It's nice having the shower separate from everything else in the bathroom. I like the bed access better in the 811. The 992 is a little bit tight crawling into the bed, as well as accessing the wardrobe cabinets on the right side of the bed area since you have to crawl across the bed to get to them. Overall, the floor space feels about equal in the 811 and 992. I also like having an onboard generator, although I still use a portable generator at times.
That's great info! I started watching your channel back when the 811 was getting all the upgrades. You do a great job as the admin in the Facebook forum as well. At one time I belonged to a lot of Truck Camper groups. unfortunately people can be mean, rude, condescending and opinionated. For that reason I no longer look at 90% of the forums. With that being said, your group," Arctic Fox & Wolf Creek Truck Camper Owners" is moderated very well. Everyone behaves like adults, that's nice to see.
Thanks so much for taking the time to be with us on Thanksgiving and thanks for the tips. I will be ordering the leak detector for stocking stuffers. Stay safe
Thanks Kenny for the informative video. You are the real deal. Just a normal Joe! I ordered the gas sniffer. On my first year with a truck camper. Fast guns weren’t cheap but they were way easy to dial in! My next purchase is some upper stable loads. Thx
Thanks Jay! I really appreciate the comment. You are right, I'm just a regular guy. The only difference between me and a lot of others is I capture my Saturdays and Sundays on a Gopro, then upload it to UA-cam. Otherwise I'm just out there trying to survive like everybody else. Thanks for watching!
In reference to the back seat of your truck. I am impressed that everything is secured, one way of another. In case of very rapid deceleration or impact, all the stuff in the back seat would otherwise be flying forward.
Kenny I never hesitated when it came to Torklift tie downs. I've used them on all 3 of my truck campers. Love the back up camera and would get one if I didn't already have a Furrion. Will definitely pick up the gas monitor since we do mess with the lines when filling the tanks. Thanks for sharing!! Happy Thanksgiving to you, Mandi & family! Cheers! ~M
Wow Kenny, thanks for taking the time on Thanksgiving day for another great video. Very informative for sure. We are hoping to upgrade to a set of torklift fastguns next year and toss the turnbuckles. Hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving.
Part of my AF road kit for the truck is the M12 tire filler and some 3 ton zip ties... my best friend had a tire punture and zip tied the inflator to his rim until he could get to the next exit. 😂😂 After he sent me the picture I cried laughing but then got the same setup for mine.
Seriously that is genius. That guy deserves an award. I would have never thought of that. I find myself to be pretty handy but zip tying a battery powered air compressor to a wheel is next level!
I've never had a truck camper, but dang your videos make me want one. So glad Torklift sent you a new set. That's awesome! Your videos help so many people. Hope you and Mandi had a great Thanksgiving!
As a side note, I just watched an Entertainment Tonight video here on YT about Jay Leno's accident. Made me think, if he had used one of those flammable gas detectors, maybe that could have been avoided. Tragic accident nonetheless.
Another great video! Glad your dad made it through his leak testing activities! 😂 I’ve been in a van for 5 years and have a truck and camper on order, can’t wait! Locking Fast Guns are the way to go! Keep on trucking and happy Thanksgiving
HI Kenny, Fred and I both really like the Mirror Dash Back Up Camera that you have. We have been toying with getting that since we first starting watching you and saw it. Fred just does not want to have to deal with running the wire. We have the jump pack, it is a great addition to any car or RV, That was really cool how Tork Lift contacted you. That was definitely a blessing. Enjoyed the video. Mary 💕 Fred
It's fate stepping up and making right for those last few unlucky weeks. I get a number of emails every week asking me to review products. I have turned down at least 100 in the last 6 months. It's usually some no name company pushing junk trying to get cheep advertising. I don't want to refer junk to you guys. That's way I tested the Hiboost Cell Booster all summer before putting out that video. So when Torklift contacted me I was beyond excited! They said it was the video where I got stuck in the swamp that put me on their radar. When they told me they wanted to send a new set of Fastguns my prayers were answered. The universe works in mysterious ways. I'm very thankful this Holiday.
@@KennyOfAllTrades We are so happy for you that they contacted you and offered you a new set of Fastguns. You deserve them and we are sure your videos will help that company. We appreciated that you also are particular on the products that you share. 💕
🎉 Hey Kenny enjoy the video great to know about all your experiences what you need and what you’ve learned in truck camping because my future plan is to buy a truck camper soon thanks for all the info really enjoy the video you’re awesome man 🎉🎉
Great video Kenny! I had a similar experience happen to me in Maine. We were traveling along on a hot summer day and the AC was cranking. I looked back in the side view and saw the truck behind me pull over and thought that was strange. A little further up the road there was something in the middle of the road so I veered of to the side to go around it and when I did I saw the ambulance behind me. I immediately pulled off to the side and let it go by. The driver was pissed. I just did not see or hear it over the AC and radio. I will have to look into that camera.
Im glad it's just not me! I felt bad when it happened. You'd think the ambulance would be louder. But I think the camper sheilds the sounds. Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm glad to hear we all make the same mistakes.
What! Wait a minute it is friday right? You made me second guess the day. Not nice playing around with old people. Lol I just bought my Northern Lite this summer, they require you to purchase the torklift system n fastguns, which was just fine with me! Being my camper has to park on the street for now, they make locks for the fastguns too, glad, got em too. Now these techs at the dealers need to be educated on how to use them, (glad u showed this Kenny) but not one tech new how to tighten these fastguns properly! they were all winging it! One guy tightened them down so tight on me, he freaked me out! I had to jump in tell them how to do it properly! Gods sake glad i watched vids before i picked up the camper. So awesome Torklift, sent you a new set!! 👍🏻 That gas detector i must get one, I’ll go investigate next, as Sometimes these products are to much of a hassle to order up to canada. Love when you do these videos btw! 🍻 Edit-yup just as i figured, no promotion on the toptes for a prime member canadian. Its’ $40 here.
Thanks! I figured I would do a special episode for a product video. I'll still do a Tuesday video...I'll leave tomorrow morning, but not sure where I'm going next. Torklift makes a really quick video explaining how to tighten the fastgun. I think a lot of people over tighten them. I'll give you the instructions that I watched. ua-cam.com/video/puY8QPD0DpE/v-deo.html
Agree with what someone else said below that you are really making some great vids as of late especially the product reviews. Keep up the great work! Ordered a gas detector. Also use a number of Torklift products on my TC including the Fast Guns/Tie Downs and 30lb Hitch they make. Great products from a great company.
Great video.. We liked the thanksgiving special. For sure going to buy that gas detector. And one day when I can afford the mirror heck yeah.. when we bought our camper the first thing the wife said was torklift, don’t go cheap. I said heck yeah we got the tie downs and the fast guns and never looked back. Great investment. Thank you for making the video and hope you had a great thanksgiving..
Thx Kenny. I will definitely use the promo code on the Toptes fume detector. Gonna look at the Promido camera as well. Still debating making a change from my current Furion. Keep up the good work. Hope you made it to Thanksgiving on time. 😁
All is good! That gas detector is cool. I played around with after work every day untill the batteries went dead. It comes with 2 Duracell's, not the cheep generic ones. It detects all kinds of combustible gasses.
What a nice surprise, a Kenny video and it's not a Tuesday! Some great information in it, too. Where did you place the front facing camera? I'd get everything you mentioned, and what a great response from Torklift! Hope you weren't late for your turkey dinner with Mandi, and if you were, it was for a great cause and I'm sure she understood.
Thanks Doodles, thankfully the food was still warm and delicious! The front camera is mounted on the mirror itself. So, if your windshield is obstructed with snow and ice there would be no video. I haven't had that issue because the wipers clear the area infront of the camera.
I’m so pleased that Torklift has recognized your channel and the wealth of great content you provide. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and made it to Mandy’s in time. Take good care!
Great video on equipment! Love you using harbor freight stuff the working man's store for your budget. Instead of Milwaukee tools I'm slowly setting up with harbor frieght power tools for the camper... one battery for all. Nice to see you get the companies to give your viewers a break on shown equipment. What's your plans for this coming winter for add ons
So far i've been really happy with the factory heater. I see a lot of people put those diesel heaters in. This current set up has been working for twenty years. I think I'll just get into the cold weather and see how it goes.
😅never sent comment to any tuber before. Or a contribution. Hooked on your vids. Now shopping for camper.. So you are responsible for my total insanity buying a camper for my truck. And now I want a new truck!!
I'm glad to hear that. I actually didn't know if people would be interested in them. I was thinking about doing a monthly information video. I'll post on Friday or Saturday. It won't replace the regular Tuesday videos.
@@KennyOfAllTrades Speaking for myself, with absolutely love seeing that. It's cold, it's the time of year that most of us are working on our campers. I believe it would be a great idea. 👍👍👍
Great video Kenny. I already carry everything you mentioned in my Lance sportsman TC except one thing..the leak detector. Many thanks for that review and the code. It’s enroute to me now. Keep up the great work.!
Kenny, I know this video is a few months old, but it's very useful. Thank you. I know you have your camper on your truck all the time. So easy disconnect of the camera isn't needed for your setup. I really like the camera and would like to see if I can use it on my new truck. I'll attempt to fabricate a marine grade connection in the cable. But, do you know what happens if the mirror is powered on but the camera is disconnected? Is there an easy way to shut off the display if it is hardwired to ignition power? Is the mirror usable as a mirror (no power)? It would be easy enough to connect power via an upfitter switch if needed. Thanks for your awesome channel!
Thanks Mark! Yes, the camera is usable when you disconnect the rear camera. However, if you disconnect the rear camera, the front facing camera will still be displayed on the rearview mirror. So, you will want to cut power to it. The rearview camera display has a mirror finish, so it works the same as the original rear view mirror when it is off.
These product reviews are nothing but great for the RV community. Thanks Kenny for sharing your thoughts on these products and well deserved . From the future Happy New Year. Hi Mandi !!
So I had to take a quick look. Belgium is beautiful, the old architecture is beyond anything we have around here, it looks amazing. Plus I see it's late at night, sleep well!
Kenny, I love your channel and watch all your videos. Curious why you carry the jump pack for your truck, because with the diesel you probably have a second isolated battery and you can just jump off that battery.
Good question! Unfortunately, my batteries are not isolated. I have only needed the jump pack once in a video. It was up in Itasca. The temperatures were around -30 that night. The jump pack did start the truck that day. I think I have used the jump back to start other people's vehicles more than my own. They are handy little tools to have.
Not my truck, not my shop, not my property. I live in a 900sq ft home. Single dad with 2 kids. A full-time job and a UA-cam channel. I can't afford nothing. All my money goes into making free content for everyone to enjoy.
Thanks Eric, I was actually on the fence about making this video. I didn't want to come across as Billy Mays pushing products on the Home Shopping Network. It was only because I trust the products that I posted it.
I have never seen one in person. But I've watched a few tour videos of them. Their build quality looks top-notch. I've watched a few channels that had Cirrus. They don't have anything bad to say about them.
Not since I started the channel. Before UA-cam i did. I ordered the system with an extra camera. I mounted under the 3rd break light. When the camper came off I would disconnect the camera under the step. I then plugged in the camera under the 3rd break light. It was nice because it gave a wider feild of view the the original mirror, and I could look down into the bed of the truck while hauling stuff.
Kenny, our truck camper has a slide. So naturally it's heavier on one side. Do you maintain the same air pressure in both air bags? Or do you have more air on the slide side? What pressures do you normally maintain? Thanks Mike From S/E Indiana
You are right. To run perfectly level I run the bags to 35 driver side and 50 passenger. At night, I put them both up to 100 psi. That way, my head lights don't bother oncoming traffic.
Yes, I did run it under the truck. The camera came from the factory with a disconnect. I put a plug on the connector and tuck it up with the trailer plug wires when the camper is disconnected.
I got those plastic latches at camping world, but I'm sure they are cheaper on Amazon. Here is a link to them. www.amazon.com/RV-Designer-H750-Interior-Hardware/dp/B002UC152I/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?crid=CFR0E6THZN1P&keywords=plastic+camper+door+snap&qid=1685937796&sprefix=plastic+camper+door+snap%2Caps%2C269&sr=8-2
Kenny, some of us didn't see your video until your promotions expired. Is there any way you can ask the manufacturers to extend their offers? Specifically the gas detector. Thanks in advance, Rusty
There is a disconnect plug about a foot away from the camera. I keep the camera mounted to the camper. I disconnect it and tuck the wire up under the spare tire.
It has a disconnect plug about a foot away from the camera. I tuck it up under the spare tire when the camper comes off. The camera stays on the camper.
Kenny, so I purchased the unit and after running the camera cable I’ve come up about 5 plus feet short. Not exactly how short because the camper isn’t currently on the truck. I ran the cable across the top of the windshield down the front drivers side column, into the engine compartment and back along the drivers side frame. How did you run yours?
Am I to understand that there is an actual wire running form the main mirror all the way back to the rear view camera? So I have to hook up the wire every time I put the camera on the truck? the Camera is not wireless?
Yes. There is a wire that runs from the mirror, all the way back to the camera. I have the camera permanently mounted to the camper. There is a disconnect plug about a foot away from the camera. When I take the camper off the truck, I disconnect the plug and tuck the wire under the spare tire.
@@KennyOfAllTrades Yikes! that's one more wire for me to hook up and probably forget to unhook when I take off the camper. lol. (not that I have ever done that with the Lance connector ;) lol ) But it does sound like a good product other than that. I will still consider it. Take care bud!
Hey Kenny my wife and I just recently discovered your YT channel and we're enjoying your videos and your positive outlook and message!. Appreciate your honest review of the TopTes PT210 gas leak detector. What do you think of the PT199 - looks similar, has good reviews on Amazon and is about 10 bucks cheaper. I would be using this on our camper and to check propane grill at home. Do you think it will accomplish the same thing as the PT210? Appreciate your honest opinion and don't pay too much attention to the "negative Nancys" out there! You know what they say opinions are like a__holes, everybody's got one!
Thanks! I'm glad you found the channel. I looked up the PT199. It looks a lot like the PT210. It has 4.6 out of 5 stars with over 3000 reviews on Amazon. I think that is an awesome rating. I would add that to my toolbox. I really appreciate you checking out the videos!
It very well may be bent. I don't take it easy on this rig. I love it when guys in their jeeps show up and ask how I got the camper down the trails. This truck and camper gets me into some crazy places. I've only pulled out the camper tie once. I rebuilt it with a metal plate that's much more secure than the factory setup. The spring-loaded fastguns do work really well to take the impact.
What I really want to know is where the heck did your friend get that garage and shop. Jesus, Mary and Joseph that is "one damn fine cup of coffee" garage. Betcha too he has a Roomba cleaner for it. Very ..... Nice
Oh I agree....not mine though, is a family members. My garage looks like I take apart lawn mowers and ice augers for a living.....not putting anything together....just taking stuff apart. But I could live in his shop.
Corporate product shill
You can't argue with the product quality. We had a roll over 2 years ago in our County. A one ton hauling a Arctic Fox 990. The camper remained securely mounted to the truck thanks to the Torklift frame mounts and fast guns.
Am I pushing product? Absolutely if it's saving life's. The gas leak detector could also save lives, at less then 15 bucks it is a valuable tool in any tool box. Lastly You can't argue that a back up camera isn't important on a truck camper. I know first hand its hard to see, or hear emergency vehicles when they are tail gating.

Thanks Mike, I appreciate the comment.
"Even if it's your own driveway". thtats right!!
Hey Kenny thanks for sharing. Thanks for Cutting the Trail and sharing the good & bad of Truck Camper Life.
Thanks Vince!
Thanks Kenny for demonstrating the Gas Leak Detector. I showed my husband and he thought it was great. Just ordered one from Amazon 🙂.
What a nice non-Tuesday surprise video to get a notification on! Excellent information and educational video sir, job well done! And congratulations on having the sponsorships coming in for you, shows your channel is not only growing but gaining the attention of manufacturers…you go man, you go!
Thanks Mike!
Happy Thanksgiving
I've had my Fastguns since 2009. I love them. I really like the classic style Fastgun handle.
Great video!! I just stumbled across your video. I just got myself a 1997 Lance 990 legend and spent 4 weeks in it for work in cold weather. I live in Canada. Hope to do some more winter camping in it. Just took it off my truck for the first time!!!
Hay Lee,
Winter camping is my favorite.
That's a really good idea. How do you like the new AF compared to your old 811. Can you tell you have more room?
Stay safe
That's awesome , have a great weekend.
Kenny, you just done a Commercial, YAY, good for you!! 🤗 🤗 🤗
Thanks Eric, hope you all enjoyed rhe Holiday weekend too!
@@KennyOfAllTrades results may vary 😂,, but still...
@@ToddStull If was in a pickle it would be worth a shot!
I've never had a truck camper, but dang your videos make me want one.
So glad Torklift sent you a new set. That's awesome! Your videos help so many people.
Hope you and Mandi had a great Thanksgiving!
That was very nice, thanks Virginia
As a side note, I just watched an Entertainment Tonight video here on YT about Jay Leno's accident. Made me think, if he had used one of those flammable gas detectors, maybe that could have been avoided. Tragic accident nonetheless.
I have not heard anything about his accident. Hope he is OK. He always seemed to be a decent and down-to-earth guy.
Yes, he was working on I believe a steam powered car. He has third degree burns to his face and hands. 😥
@@virginia_in_the_rearview I just checked it out. He looks to be in good spirits but that has to be so painful.
Love the sweater! You know I don’t get mad much….I hope we get more videos 2x a week. ;)
Thanks Babe, and you made an awesome Thanksgiving supper
Nice to see another set of the "classic" Fastguns. I have the same ones. I like the handles on the classic model much better than the new handles.
Those have lasted so long for me. It's a shame I lost one. The other 3 still work great
Another great video! Glad your dad made it through his leak testing activities! 😂 I’ve been in a van for 5 years and have a truck and camper on order, can’t wait! Locking Fast Guns are the way to go! Keep on trucking and happy Thanksgiving
Thanks! I hope you love the truck camper. I love mine.
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving an be safe and God bless yall
Thanks you too, I hope you enjoy the weekend!
🎉 Hey Kenny enjoy the video great to know about all your experiences what you need and what you’ve learned in truck camping because my future plan is to buy a truck camper soon thanks for all the info really enjoy the video you’re awesome man 🎉🎉
Thanks Tim, hope you love Truck Camping as much as I do!
Lol
I just bought my Northern Lite this summer, they require you to purchase the torklift system n fastguns, which was just fine with me!
That gas detector i must get one, I’ll go investigate next, as Sometimes these products are to much of a hassle to order up to canada.
Love when you do these videos btw! 🍻
Edit-yup just as i figured, no promotion on the toptes for a prime member canadian.

@@KennyOfAllTrades thats just the assembly video of the fastgun. northern lite has a vid on how to use em like what you showed. 🍻
Agree with what someone else said below that you are really making some great vids as of late especially the product reviews. Keep up the great work! Ordered a gas detector. Also use a number of Torklift products on my TC including the Fast Guns/Tie Downs and 30lb Hitch they make. Great products from a great company.
Thanks I appreciate that. I try my best.

I hear the Furion is a really good camera.
Put that rear view camera on my Amazon Christmas list!! Get video 🤙
Thanks Larry!
Ordered the gas leak detector, at that price it’s a no brainer, thanks Kenny!
And I hope Mandy wasn’t too upset, lol
Thanks Bill
Just bought the gas leak detector with your link 👌

I hope you have fun out there. Thankfully the price of these campers is coming down a little bit.
Love these info videos, appreciate the information. Best wishes too you and yours, God bless you Kenny

Sweet!I should have mentioned it comes with two Duracell Batteries....those sell for a couple bucks alone.
Thank you and as always, enjoyed the video! 🙂
Thank you! I'll order one and give it a try.

2 campers, 2 trucks and a heated garage big enough to store a 747 and you can't afford a new tie down lol 😂
Not my truck, not my shop, not my property. I live in a 900sq ft home. Single dad with 2 kids. A full-time job and a UA-cam channel. I can't afford nothing. All my money goes into making free content for everyone to enjoy.
@KennyOfAllTrades Well crow for dinner it is then 😆

Hey Kenny, I’ve been looking at the new Cirrus 920 truck camper and was wondering if you have any thoughts on that camper?
I have never seen one in person. But I've watched a few tour videos of them. Their build quality looks top-notch. I've watched a few channels that had Cirrus. They don't have anything bad to say about them.
Thank great information
Thanks Terry!
Do you ever use your truck without the camper? If so, do you relocate the rear view camera?
Not since I started the channel. Before UA-cam i did.
I ordered the system with an extra camera. I mounted under the 3rd break light. When the camper came off I would disconnect the camera under the step. I then plugged in the camera under the 3rd break light. It was nice because it gave a wider feild of view the the original mirror, and I could look down into the bed of the truck while hauling stuff.
Kenny, our truck camper has a slide. So naturally it's heavier on one side. Do you maintain the same air pressure in both air bags? Or do you have more air on the slide side? What pressures do you normally maintain? Thanks
Mike From S/E Indiana
You are right. To run perfectly level I run the bags to 35 driver side and 50 passenger. At night, I put them both up to 100 psi. That way, my head lights don't bother oncoming traffic.
Kenny for the rear view camera did you run the wire underneath the camper and put a quick disconnect for when you take the camper off?
Yes, I did run it under the truck. The camera came from the factory with a disconnect. I put a plug on the connector and tuck it up with the trailer plug wires when the camper is disconnected.
Love your content buddy👍 I was wondering what you use for those diy cabinet latches? Keep up the great content.
I got those plastic latches at camping world, but I'm sure they are cheaper on Amazon. Here is a link to them.

Is it easy enough to disconnect when offloading the camper?
It has a disconnect plug about a foot away from the camera. I tuck it up under the spare tire when the camper comes off. The camera stays on the camper.
@@KennyOfAllTrades much appreciated.
Cool stuff 🎉
Hi Kenny!!
Howdy, have a great Thanksgiving weekend!
Thanks! I'm glad you found the channel. I looked up the PT199. It looks a lot like the PT210.

That torque lift looks bent. Is it?
It very well may be bent. I don't take it easy on this rig. I love it when guys in their jeeps show up and ask how I got the camper down the trails. This truck and camper gets me into some crazy places. I've only pulled out the camper tie once. I rebuilt it with a metal plate that's much more secure than the factory setup. The spring-loaded fastguns do work really well to take the impact.
