have been watching your channel since 2019. You are one of the Video providers that inspired me to just get up and go take car camp trips. I've taken 7 or 8 in the last 2. years. One trip was x-country. Sleep inside my Subaru, have minimal car set up, no fuss camping. I think you took a year off from making any videos, thought you were done.
I thought your last video was one of your best but this might be your best 💪🏽 🔥. I've been broke and working for a while but I became homeless when my mom died and your videos helped me and my dad with a lot of things that I still use till this day so just know you've been very helpful with your videos with a lot of actual practical advice 👍🏽
My heart goes out to you. I watch your videos and often think about my daughters they are still very young but it makes me think about their adult life. Life is a struggle but I hope you continue to find joy and strength. I enjoy your adventures a lot and missed it when you took a break. But do what you need to take care of you first.❤

Another side to this is that social media simply produces toxicity. It’s not about Ahle being ‘normal’ or whatever, which she obviously is, but just the effects of negative interactions through social media.

With everything you have shared, your viewpoint and self-reflection about how your stories are consumed by your main demographic says the most about you. I believe it confirms your assertion that you are HUMAN and caring. You found you are an influence on young minds and took care to treat them well. If only there were more like you..
Sometimes I think the algorithm brings around people that don’t really understand the content. But as a fan, I always appreciated your more humble lifestyle vs other Van life creators. And yours isn’t the only one. I watch people that do hidden camping, living minimally in the woods, cooking and gathering in the wild, etc. all of which seemingly borderline “houselessness” yet all have an immense amount of education and opportunities to learn that you just can’t find anywhere else.
My point is that your videos are a much needed niche and I definitely appreciate them and learn from them. And im in my thirties, so I guess I’m outside of your normal demographic haha

The catalysts for big attitude changes or realizations in life almost always come from a place you never saw coming. Almost like they were sent to you when you most needed them and that was their purpose.
Been here since forever, since 2014 I think, since that's the year I moved to Nevada and distinctly remember watching your vids in my first place there. I am not sure if you were posting vids when you were having that tough time way back then, but you never showed that you were down at all. Tho, I imagine making vids while feeling like that is basically impossible.

Okay, so I've been commenting while watching the video this whole time... I'm at ~25m and holy smokes, this is the best video you've ever published. The growth and reflection in this is palpable. I'm super proud of you and your journey Ahle. 🙌 I also got into minimalism and alternative lifestyles around ~2008 out of a place of frustration so I really feel you on so many of these points. While I didn't personally choose van life, I have absolutely made other similar sacrifices to carve out my own path.

hahah i was a teen when i first found you, i just thought the idea of living in a van by yourself seemed so freeing 😅 i think a lot of younger people watched you because of that, just fantasising that we could do the same and move out from our parents house
I think its great that little girls are watching you, so they can see an option that allows them to live more freely, without having to deal with roommates. When i was little I thought homeless=bums/addicts. I had roommates in college and it ruined the experience for me but staying with my parents was never an option. If I had known van life was an option in college I'd definitely have done that instead. Of course there are lots of bums/addicts who do van life as well but the way you do it is healthy and a good example to little kids imo.

Ahle is right about the philosophy of language.
Rather than "homeless" a better word is "unhoused" and "houseless" is good too.
Unencumbered people are the only free people in the USA anymore. In many ways they are more sane than all of us working overtime just to pay for government bureaucrats or foreign aid used to payoff politicians.
If people videoed themselves every couple of days- they would see a difference in their own personality, energy and talking rhythm. Just ignore the internet psychologists and doctors- they’re just jealous. You’re beautiful all around- keep on being you.
2:25 in and... I agree. Sick of people making everything into a diagnosis as if there is some cookie cutter build for how everyone should be. I remember working out a lot and lazy people asking me if I'm ok, and I'm like are you?

Now I'm in north new mexico the weather is great today my car said it was 68 degrees coming in and 77 now in Albuquerque the weather report says 88 no way. PS I try not to cuss cuz I personally believe it takes away it's power if it's used often, and it doesn't make you sound cool or educated. Also I believe there's two ways to live life - the way of give and the way of get, and I don't feel like cuss words have much value if you're trying to live the way of give and maintain a servant spirit. I choose not to cuss but try not to be offended by it until it comes to taking God's name in vain but like I can just unsub or distance myself from ppl if I ask them not to and they don't respect that. It just makes me uncomfortable and if you don't believe in God why would you use it? If you do, same question? 😅 Fr though there's so many words in the English language why limit your vocabulary?

- why did u choose to be in a van despite the many limitations, were there no shelters or government support you could look for?
- what if your car/phone were to break down? do you have a plan in place

People flipping 180° is something that happens a lot and that I have never understood. People have a difficult time communicating and being accountable for their actions. People often are also only your friends or friendly as long as you are of some benefit to them. It's a harsh world.

gosh, your so much tougher than me, im curious how you manage your family and friendships, i've been so weak and used the 'i didnt ask to be here' so deal with me and my life difficulties. But seems like youve always maintained a positive outlook with family and friends who might of been able to do more for you? In my case i guess maybe my 'bad attitude' or 'accepting defeat' was more a mechanism of like apporaching the topic of failure when i felt like i need someone to hash my problems out to and there was just no one to listen to. So i guess im just curious about this and if your friends and family did help you out with your decision making....it doesnt seem that way tbh it seems like your just tough cookie more so than me and i think you probably shouldnt have to be as tough as you are but its a good thing to be tough anyway, its just like when you tear up i thought...omg your so entitled to your trauma and really shouldnt need to push those feelings down to appease anyone, stream of conciousness end lol.
