- F1 Rocket Exploring Mineral Canyon Backcountry airstrip and Green River Canyon. Flying the Green River. Looking for Backcountry airplane camping strip. Scenic rock formations, southern Utah, searching for good backcountry airplane camping spot. Fun places to fly in Utah. Mineral Bottom.
You do a great job Chris! I really enjoy everything about your videos.
@Fly Thatcher CX-4. Thank you so much for the encouragement. It means a lot! Sometimes I don’t want to post, but I have so much fun, I feel I have to share it!
You take photography to a new level.
@Fred Eichenberger. Thanks Fred. About time to get out and do some more videos.. But it seems all my friends planes are broken right now. That’s pretty amazing scenery down there in Southern Utah. Can’t wait for it to cool off just a bit and go back down there.
Nice! How was the video being shot? Where was the camera mounted?
@Farhan Khawaja. Hi Farhan. Thanks. I mounted it the same way I do on my Rocket, out on the left wingtip. You can see it on my video, How to mount cameras on airplanes.
Thats a real birds eye view. Stuff the general public never gets to see.
Hi Stephan. Yeah, I had such a good time visiting 12 different strips and flying around all that scenery. I had to share at least a few minutes of it, hoping someone might appreciate it. It was so much fun Friday, we took the Rockets back Monday to do the same thing again.
Nice when dreams come true. Have a great summer! Drum
Thanks Drum!
Мне очень нравятся ваши видеоклипы. Каньон просто супер!
Thanks Igor. We had so much fun we went back two days later. I had hoped to go back again this week end to a place down there called Hidden Splendor and camp. From the small dirt strip you can land at, you can walk down into a beautiful canyon. I took some video of it, I’ll try posting it shortly. Thanks for watching.
@@igorkalinin5339 It’s never too late to be taking flying lessons. Although I think you would enjoy it more if you could find an aerobatic plane to rent. Or if you could find someone with an RV at a nearby airport and get a ride. I think a lot of the fun in flying is exploring the countryside. I’m fortunate to live in an area with a lot to see.
Glad to hear you’re recovering, I’m sure it’s not easy. Keep up the pull-ups. I’ve been in a few motorcycle accidents-getting back to the gym was always hard!
@@WheelsInTheSky Спасибо. Я хочу через некоторое время пойти в аэроклуб. Может быть мне удастся получить лицензию частного пилота. А пока меня очень радует возможность посмотреть полёты в классных местах.
@@igorkalinin5339 I’m glad you watch my videos. Keep me informed if you start taking lessons again.
Oh, man. Speechless...
Hi airbornCH. Thanks for watching. I had a blast!
Could you share a picture and some detail of you pole camera mount?
Hey Jeff. I’ll do that very soon. I’ve been experimenting with different mount locations and I like the 360 camera mounted on a pole in front of the wing the best.
@@WheelsInTheSky Thanks. I have had a Virb 360 for a few years and the end of the wing is cool but not as cool as out in front of the wing like you have it...
Very nice. I’m about ready to pull my Rocket fuselage out of the fixture.
That’s gotta be exciting. I’d like to build one while I’m flying mine.
@@WheelsInTheSky I was a sheet metal guy back in my mechanic days. It’s challenging to build the slow build option. Call Vince at Team Rocket, he’ll get a kit coming your way.
@@wiljam1968 I think about it a lot. But now that I’m retired, it seems there’s so much to do and so little time. Not sure how I ever use to have time for work! Keep me informed on your Rocket.
@@WheelsInTheSky let me figure out a way we can exchange contact info privately. I don’t think you can send private messages over UA-cam.

Awesome! Utah and the northeast part of Arizona are the most amazing places I've flown and landed in! Those 360 cameras are so cool! I gotta get one. 😁
Showing I never replied. Thought I did.
Yep , that area is incredible. I’ve now been down there many times and it never ceases to amaze me. Can’t wait to go again.
@@WheelsInTheSky not a problem. Next time we're up that way, maybe we can meet up. I fly an RV4 and mostly into aerobatics and formation flying, but also take fun trips with the wife. Where are you based out of?
@@aerobatixguy7682 KBTF. Bountiful SkyPark airport, just north of Salt Lake City. Yeah, let me know, we take trips up to Idaho and southern Utah all the time.
@@WheelsInTheSky sounds good! Will definitely let you know next time we're up that way!
Pretty cool 😎
Thanks Reckem Roys RC. Just had to share. Amazing country down there!

Hi Sloleydave. Thanks- I wish I was!!
Thanks for sharing the emotion, just got my new to me -6 and am going through it to be safe. I’m looking forward to flying with you in the future! “Stubbs”
Definitely! I’m here at KBTF.
Very nice. Love your videos. You gonna love bombing around in the 185. Make sure you post some footage of that. Those canyons are beautiful. Definitely on the bucket list 👌
Thanks Vincent. I’m hoping to go camp at Hidden Splendor in the 185 soon, but it’s starting to get pretty hot. I’ll probably post a video of us checking out the area in our Rockets.
@@WheelsInTheSky Nice 😎
Great video!! Love the smoke system and that Rocket!
Thanks James. The smoke really comes in handy- show your position, entertain people on the ground, Smother the guy taxi and behind you.
