Yikes I thought I was being too picky and opinionated until I read the comments, I feel exactly as they do on every point . Somethings amiss and it defintely lacks warmth, extremely cold and uninviting
The exterior is great - the interior . . . . well, Charleston has some solid interior designers. This house needs one pronto. Drop $150k into a quick reno and you could get another $500k - $700k out of it easy. The furniture - except for one of the poster beds, is an absolute travesty for this home.
But don't start the reno before Halloween. That study is crying out for a Halloween party. Or seance. Or a funeral wake. Yes - this East Texan adores traditional Southern decor - even modernized - and this is a house of horrors.
As I am in love with colonial/traditional style, I hate to see a grand old house like this modernized to the point that it’s hard to appreciate the original structure. Sorry, I’ll pass on this one. Just does not appeal to me.
Hard pass for me. Everything seems quite cramped and the kitchen looks like it's in a basement. Perhaps a good designer could get involved and warm it up and perhaps open it up.
This could be so stunning but the colors on the walls and the decor are such a distraction. Whoever bought this really needed to look past all of that!
Why did they paint the entryway floor black and white pattern yet, you can see the wood slacks under the paint. Some rooms were subdued and calming and some were, well I won’t say anything else. 🤦🏻♀️
Why do all of these historic properties look modern? I no longer see character in remodeled old homes...every house looks the same. It's gorgeous outside! Just not a fan of the modern look inside!
So in other words these homes are for people who can wipe their behinds with $100.00 bills and not miss it. Let's see some real homes for average people. I would not pay that kind of money to live in a tourist trap of total chaos and premium inflation on everything. Charleston is beautiful but only in doses. No way would I live there on a regular basis. To crowded, congested and overpriced.

Loved the outside, but inside was disappointing.
This breaks my heart to see a fine traditional home ruine in this way..shame on whoever did this. We should honor our history....
Exterior is amazing! Ya lost me on the inside.

I totally agree

Beautiful house, but a lot of the rooms lack warmth, they look very cold and uninviting.
It lacks warmth because there are no personal items in it.
I agree.
It's nice. I like the cottage nestled in the back garden. I hope you find a good purchaser.

Looks like a number of model homes. Doesn't come across historical at all.
great house love the style of your video
Why do they paint walls black it’s horrible….
I’m rubbing my eyes……because they hurt. Outside is glorious but inside is surprisingly unpleasant. How sad. Needs a makeover.
well the outside looked ok... The rest not so much. Needs a good designer to fix that mess.

Nice video. Rough design.
That interior designer should be ashamed.
Beautiful

It’s lovely, but I didn’t love it as much as I thought I would. Maybe it’s the way it’s staged.
A lot of funky stuff going on in there. Right?
Pretty on the outside decorated ugly and gaudy on the inside.
Nice design

Too modernized for a historic home,🤔
No respect what so ever to the integrity of the period of this house on the interior. Shameful !
Like the house but the decorating is horriable for me.
Seller needs to hire Amelia Hadigan. She’ll bring interiors back to life.
Only photos ???
No way !
It's way too updated
I hate this house, It has no warmth or character.

So disappointed!😢
Ugly, dated and overpriced.
Beautiful on the outside. Really poor taste on the inside.
Needs a bit of personality in it x
This looks staged to me
buncha lefties keep moving in. HAAAALPPP CHARLESTON
Yuk... terrible decor!!!
Ummm......no....
Every ugly fad you can think of. Ugh.
Music is too overpowering , cannot watch
Boring inside home - what is wrong with people? This renovation took out all the charm!
That house like being on acid. Yikes.
Yea everyone was right, what a dump, kitchen sucks
