Hiking and Herping the PCT, Campo to Scissors Crossing!

- Hiked a total of 85 miles in 5 days on my first backpacking trip. We went from Campo to Scissors crossing which is 77 miles but we managed to tack on a few extra here and there. We did our best to document all the herps we saw but not all were featured in the video. We saw coast patchnosed, southern pacific, coast horned lizard, fence lizard, western whiptail, granite spiny, side blotch, alligator lizard, western toad, cali tree frog and baja tree frog. All in all it was the trip of a lifetime, I can’t wait to get back out and see what we can find on the trail next time. This was easily the hardest thing I’ve ever done so thanks for watching and thank you for the support!

What a great idea, through hike and herp while doing it. Looked like some legit scenery, my kinda hiking. You had that Adventure Archives vibe kicked up several notches.
Thanks man, I really appreciate it! Sadly the through hike doesn’t seem like it’ll be a reality for me but that would be awesome. Hopefully at some point though I can do a month or so on the trail but for now it’ll just have to be the occasional few days. I’m definitely planning on doing more sections in the future though and assuming everything works out I have some big plans for next years adventures. Really want to make more content like this in the future but in the meantime I’ve got a bunch of backlogged videos I’ve got to get to

Thomas, I straight helped you guys find Zs and showed you spots. I asked you guys not to share the spots cause they weren’t mine and you did anyways. All I did was stop going out with you guys and you all got butt hurt. Joking about Indian reservations is just ignorant and pathetic. Our people have lost everything for you to even have what you have and now you want to act as if it’s funny that I stand up against people who talk about trespassing on reservations. Just not cool. You guys can just leave it alone and move on. No need to be disrespectful to me personally. If you want to go that other route I’m happy to oblige.
Look man, I don’t even want this beef. Honestly that’s my bad for offending y’all and I apologize for that. This was a video from last year made in a different time and I don’t intend to be making any such comments in the future. The only thing that had me even a little heated is the “I cant wait to see you guys in the field” comment. I don’t take stuff like that lightly but still I shouldn’t have responded back with hostility and that’s my bad too. Let’s just squash this and try to let 2024 be a peaceful and drama free year of herping ✌️
