The clone wars is everything which happens between II and III. It’s before Order 66 and Darth Vader
The clone wars is part of the main star wars universe along with the movies, they were all made by george lucas so they’re definitely connected. The idea is that the clone wars tv show provides tons of extra context that helps to understand and enjoy the movies more
The clone wars start in episode 2 and end 3.5 yrs later in episode 3 this seri s connects the two movies , you will see that anakins hair keeps growing as the seasons go on

I know you got a lot of people telling and that you are probably ahead and got it but the clone wars animated show takes place between attack of the clone (movie 2) and revenge of the sith (episode 3). This show is cannon which means everything you see here is true to what we didn’t see happen between those two films. Anything made after clone wars is usually way before clone wars (ex: tales of the Jedi except for the last two episodes in that series) or after (ex: Rebels & Bad Batch). Hope this helps a bit! The Clone Wars covers the space between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, although the last couple of episodes in the series overlap with events in the Revenge of the Sith
Once you finish clone wars, you have to go back and watch revenge of the Sith because there’s more of an impact when you watch order 66 since you met most of the Jedi they showed
This is the only real discrepancy with dooku's backstory in tales of the jedi and his clone wars character. His whole motivation was because the people were oppressed, but then he is fine with slaughtering innocents with no military target in the area at all. I guess you can just attribute it to the dark side affecting him but still the exact opposite

The Clone Wars series takes place between Attack of the clones and revenge of the sith, and it is in the same universe as the movies, its just filler for what happend between the movies
All of Star Wars is connected. This is before Anakin became Darth Vader. This is during and after the Clone Wars. Episode 2 is the movie.

But it was the Jedi who started that war. Instead of trying to negotiate with Dooku, they sent a Jedii legion that started the war, and it was Yoda who brought the Republic army, starting the invasion of Geonosis.
All they had to do was put Dooku in a difficult position. The Separatists didn't want war; they just wanted to secede from the Republic. If they had seen that Dooku was aiming for war, he would have been regarded as a madman and would have been dethroned.
Instead, the Jedi and Republic attacked, giving Dooku full support for the war (defense).
I feel like holding two jedi and a senator captive and trying to execute them in a massive arena might as well be starting the war. Not to mention the frequent assassination attempts on Padme are also grounds on starting the war. Not to mention that the war is engineered by palpatine in the first place
Not exactly. War was going to happen regardless. Even before the Jedi legion came to Geonosis, we saw the Separatists manufacturing tens of thousands of battle droids to combat the Jedi. Keep in mind at this point none of the Separatists except for Dooku and Palpatine know about the Clone army. This indicates that the Separatists absolutely wanted war. Not only did they want to leave the Republic but they wanted to destroy it as well.
@@tseh3 Some Separatists wanted to leave the Republic and live in peace, while others, like Grievous, wanted revenge.
And here's the thing: in this situation, it wasn't the Separatists but the Jedi who were the direct aggressors, and they were the ones who escalated the war, not Dooku.
They didn't even try to prevent this war from happening.
Geonosis was just the last chance, real negotiations should have taken place much earlier to de-escalate the situation.
Additionally, Dooku even proposed that the Jedi surrender, so this can be even considered an offer to negotiate. Let's be honest, The Count's image was excellent and that's why he gained full support.
And the Jedi were hated by absolutely everyone.

You're giving the Separatists way too much credit. The problem wasn't that they just wanted to leave the Republic. We've seen non-Republic planets do just fine for themselves. The problem was they wanted to overthrow the Republic and for the Separatists to be the ruling power in the galaxy.
The Jedi did not escalate the war. They did in fact actively seek to prevent the war from happening. In the beginning of Attack of Clones, we can see that the Jedi were opposed to the Republic Military Creation Act. It is only after the Jedi discover that Dooku has an army of thousands of battle droids that they decide to go rescue Obi-Wan. So it was not an escalation, the war was going to happen regardless, however, they had to act quickly to save Obi-Wan.
Dooku wanted the Jedi to surrender to be used as hostages to force the Republic to cede power to the Separatists. This is not a negotiation as that would imply that both parties would mutually agree.
However, I agree with you that Dooku's image was excellent. Just as Palpatine's image was excellent too. I also agree with you that the Jedi were hated by absolutely everyone. But that was the plan. Palpatine orchestrated the Clone Wars to destabilize the Republic and turn public opinion against the Jedi so that it would be easier to raise an Empire and convince the public that the Jedi attempted to overthrow the Republic. It was a brilliant plan. The Jedi were unjustly hated in my opinion as they really were backed into a corner. They could either stand by, do nothing, and just watch the war happen from the sidelines. They'd fail as peacekeepers. Or they could participate in the war and try to guide it to a Republic victory. However, they'd also fail as peacekeepers. Palpatine was a true genius.

The clone wars isn't in a different verse it occurs between the second movie (where Anakin married Padme) and the third movie (where he eventually becomes Vader and fights obi wan)

It’s amazing how difficult chronological time is for your very smooth brain. This is set a few years before episode 3. Jesus. Use a timeline. Watch things in chronological order so you get less headaches from trying to think.

6:11 every Star Wars series or film after 2014(when Gorge Lucas sold lucasfilm) is in the Kanon so it belongs together as well as Star Wars the clone wars and all of the movies. But the 2003 clone wars does not for example. It belongs to legends. And the clone wars is between episode 2 and 3 so you see Anakins slow fall to the dark side especially in the last season when he killed trench what is against the Jedi code etc. I hope it helped😁
