    Wow!! $15 for the aluminum pipe wrench?! That's a score! I think what you called a lug pliers is a crimping pliers. Great video, man.

    Loving the oil bottles , how cool ! The shelf brackets too guess they must a been from a church that heavy duty and with crosses on .I think they are "pulling thru " pliers- hold a wire in the end then turn, the wire twists around the end then pull. Bargain of the day and days money back ridgid !!!

    I remember Rickles. Somewhere I still have some stuff with Rickles price tags. Thomas & Betts was founded in 1898 and is notable as the inventor of cable ties in 1958. It was a NJ company until 2012 when it was bought out. Best set of terminal crimpers you will ever own.

    always a great video for Sunday....
    you are lucky to have sellers who offer 1,2,3 dollars a piece. Having a $1 bill in your hand is probably easier. Here the smallest banknote is 5 euros, so without many problems they ask for 10 euros for each item. There are few that actually sell for 1, 2 or 3 euros. It sounds silly, and it is, but the paper 1 bill has a different effect than a coin. And this has a huge impact on purchases. You really have to go to the less "elegant" places to find goods for a few euros, and today with the cost of petrol, motorway, parking, coffee, entrance, you often pay more than what you buy.

    The wire crimpers are Thomas and Betts. T&B is an electric wire terminal manufacturer. They also brand terminal crimping tools, top notch brand of tools. I don't know if they make the crimping tools or not, but they seem to be slightly different from competitive brands, making me suspect that they make their own tools. Your terminal crimpers are pretty old. T&B hand crimper handles have been plastic dipped at least since the 1970's. I don't think that I have ever seen a set without the T&B color handles, orange and black. I have Channel Lock and Klein versions. My Channel Lock are fine, but not quite the quality of my Klein and I think that the T&B is finer than my Klein.
    The axe snobs would diss your axes, but I think that you did well. I especially like you Plumb.
    I like your drill index. All of mine of that size are HUOT or clones and the doors hinge to the left except for my brad point wood bit set. I recently splurged on a master drawer overstock bit index. I purchased all three, Letter, Number and Fractional. I went through my stash of loose bits organized all of them. The overstock drawer cabinets are now almost completely full except for the smaller Numbered bits. Miching all of those loose bits was tedious, but it is so nice now. I have accumulated 25ish drill indexes. This allows me to keep an index at each work station, separate jobber and screw machine (stubby), HSS, Cobalt, carbide, masonry, split tip, left hand, tap drill/tap, etc. I still need to fill out my fractional Silver and Demming (reduced shank) sets. I am also working on Morse taper collection and long twist bits. I only have a smattering of metric bits and aluminum bits. I find that most job shops don't stock AL bits. Our plant machined tons of AL, and stocked steel and AL bits. I got used to having access to both styles. Tool crib handed out sizes up to 1/2" like candy. When I retired, I expected to have to return my company supplied tooling, but they let it pass, so I came home with 3 or 4 full indexes.
    I don't need your index, but I want it!
    All those loose bits were useless to me. I wasn't ever going to paw through boxes of bits. Indexes keep sizes organized. Fractional jobber bit sizes are hardware store common if HSS and Cobalt is acceptable, even split point, and you can purchase in unit sizes. Industrial sizes usually are only sold in packs if 10. Without the over stock cabinets, my extra bits were going into the black hole of surplus bits cans and drawers. I have only had the overstock
    cabinets set up for a month, but I am using it regularly. It is a real blessing. I now keep all if my indexes full with type and style of undamaged bits. This is another blessing. Tubalcain has validated the VEVOR drill bit sharpeners. Their premium unit is around $270, steep for my hobbiest blood, but I am tempted. With my organization now in place, I wouldn't have to purchase bits for the small sizes for the rest if my life with a fool proof method of sharpening. That might justify the expense. It is a lot cheaper than industrial machines. Even our production shop tool crib decided sizes less than 1/2" were expendable and tossed worn tooling. If I checked out a bit of that size, drilled one hole and returned it, they tossed it in the trash. I tried the Drill Doctor, by didn't have much success. As many skills that I have mastered, sharpening drills off hand is not one of them.
    I want your 36" AL Ridgid! Who would sell that for $15. I paid a more for my used Ridgid CI 36" two decades ago and had to straighten the handle and repaint it.

    • @Uwannawatch
      @Uwannawatch  4 місяці тому

      Hey Paul, From everything you just said it sounds like you need my drill index.
      Sorry you can't have the Ridgid I sold it already and made my money back and then some. I sold it to another Plumber for a more than fair price.
      I have found that people will purchase expensive plumbing tools for one job{they think they can do after watching a home improvement show} never use it again and sell cheap.
      Oh I don't really care what the snobs say..Plumb axe with a nostalgic stamped handle for a fiver best score. Take care and chat with you again soon.

    Very nice finds as usual. A petroliana collector would swoon over those oil bottles. 15 cents no less and in excellent condition. I think they were the 3 in 1 oil household oil products of their time back in the day. It was smart to get the drill index box. The older US boxes are built so much better, and open and close so much better than the ill-operating Chinesium junk. The wire pliers you have are actually electrical connector crimped. I have my father's identical pair. They were made in Elizabeth NJ. You had another great day at the flea market.

    Coolest find in my opinion is the Oils, they are really in great condition and the cork lids and the cardboard sleeve and the shape of the bottle are just fantastic. Really nice haul George! Lots of cool stuff. Those shelf brackets are awesome and look beefy. That Snap on wrench was super expensive even back in the day. Those two bottles of Oilex with the corks still in them are really cool. The C clamp is ornately beautiful and I'm wondering who that will go to🤔. A lot of nice items but I love those Plumb hammers and axes with the red handles, they seem to last forever. That axe is a steal and a keeper! Excellent haul George!👍🏻👊🏻

      Mike,Mike,Mike! Thanks brother! Those brackets are amazing. The clamp went to a guy whose name rhymes with John Fix..I think I'm gonna stop by and see if I can pick up the rest of those oils from my Buddy's shop. And seriously can't believe i found a Plumb in great shape for the price.

    I have my father-in-laws tool chest he made full of tools. He was born in 1900 and found old tools in dumps, etc. because he couldn’t afford new. Where does a person go to get advice on selling tools? I have no one wanting them and need to get rid of them. Thanks for any suggestions.

    • @Uwannawatch
      @Uwannawatch  4 місяці тому +1

      Hello Bonnie, Check on Facebook or reddit for a page/forum for the types of tools you have.Post pictures and ask for advice or about the tools themselves. Most of us on UA-cam have email addresses in our about section and you can send pictures and most will help the best we can. If you have a local flea market or antique shop you can also check with them for information. Hope that helps and best of luck to you.
