Chickens are way too big for cats to attack. Cats generally don't attack anything bigger than the size of a human palm. That means cats normally don't attack gulls or even adult crows.
My grandparents have a small farm and when I was at university I stayed with them a lot. I helped look after the chickens and other animals. The younger cockerels used to roam around the farm in their own little gang to avoid getting pecked by the older birds. One of the cockerels from this group took a shine to me for some reason. Whenever he spotted me wandering around he would fly up onto my shoulder and crow in my ear, he would then sit there as I bumbled around, feeding the sheep and changing the water. He would sort of waggle around and lean against my head to stay balanced. Sometimes I would lay on the grass under the ornamental cherry tree and he would rock up with his friends and they would all sit around while he would settle down right next to my head and preen my hair. It was thoroughly surreal but wonderful at the same time. I loved that daft little bugger and I miss him!
@@faustofilefes What part of this post implies that was the outcome? Lighten up a little hey. As for animals being exploited, I agree it's wrong and there's likely no bonding taking place in those situations.
@@bmccameron7642 Agreed. There's people who just raise chickens and sell them off to chicken vendors, and then there's those who just raise a very small amount of chickens and treat them equally. The former is usually more profitable, while the latter is usually people who raise chickens for eggs.
