if you're gonna clean your drain plug in kerosene, it will really dry out the drain plugs seal. its always good practice to apply clean oil to the seal to prevent it drying and deteriorating. it also prevents the seal from pinching when tightening the plug.
ride your bike first it warms the oil which makes it flow out easier it also suspends all the particulates in the oil so they go in to the oil pan instead of sitting in the bottom of your bike
Is there some reason why you can't just empty all the oil, then carefully measure 0.8 L of oil and pour it in, without worrying about too little/too much?
Thanks for the video mate. I just changed my gear box oil but I couldn’t put in 0.8 I’ve uses 0.6 and starts dropping on oil level. Is it all right? Thanks
Hi, i changed gear oil like u did in this video but where do I change engine oil ? im new to huskvarna bikes recently buy a HVA TE 300 - 16. thankful for a reply. :)
Hi There, thank you for watching. The gearbox oil is the only engine oil in this bike. The cylinder is lubricated by the oil you mix with your fuel. This is true of all 2 stoke engines.
dude is that oil jaso rated? i wouldnt put motor oil in my clutch / gears especially if it has friction modifiers or if it has the round circle in the back label energy conservative etc
Agreed. This video is a couple years old though so I'd like to hear his thoughts on it. Did you ever have trouble using that mobil 1? clutch slipping? Etc? I would appreciate any feedback.
Thanks for the video,I subbed to ur channel, had a question, got a 16 te300,when gas is set on the on setting it bogs out and shut off,but when I put it to reserve it runs pretty good, not sure wat to do from here.any info would be appreciated.thank you
Hello Sam....The oil is black because it gets "dirty"...not from dirt exactly but from heating up and breaking down (the viscosity) and the wearing of gears over time. Also...4 strokes dont burn oil by design....if they do, you have a worn piston ring or sleeve that is letting oil into the combustion chamber. Thanks for watching!

Yes I suppose you could. I'd still want to check the level at the level plug just to make sure.
Thanks for the video mate.

Loving my TE300 I must say can you do a vid on the swinging arm bolt greasing her up as would love to do it before winter .thanks.
How many miles or hours do you ride before you swap your oil? Any reason you don't use Rotella-T?
Just so everyone knows the bolt is located on the opposite side of the bike underneath the sprocket on the 2017 models :)
Keep showing the videos, not too many for te300 maintenance, thanks
Thank you...im rebuilding my shop right now...but i plan to do more videos once that is complete! Thank you for watching and please subscribe!!
Why is Kawasaki the only one with a simple sight glass?
That is a good question honestly.

I think you're right here. That 15W50 is formulated for cars, not 2 stroke engines.

Im not sure....My manual calls for the 15w-50.
