The main reason is her family lifestyle didn’t promote “wholesome American families,” and little girls wanted to BE her. She wasn’t the image they wanted, so they made it political instead of focusing on a sport as a sport.
So much respect for the way Margot Robbie and McKenna Grace portrayed the adult version and young version of Tonya. They both showed the trauma that Tonya had to endure as a child and even as an adult and it really made everything feel real and not faked which I absolutely love. I can’t wait for Margot and McKennas future movies and shows!
