Thanks a lot! Now that i see the process i can try to apply it to my own projects! And the cat hair tip was definitely appreciated, so much creativity even in the collage 😂
This was awesome! Yes please keep making more videos like this! It was very insightful to hear your thought process when you and your team were making decisions in the render.
Great vid! Could you make a video about compressing your portfolio? Perhaps I am doing it wrong but the imagines I make in photoshop then put into illustrator always make huge pdf's and when I compress them they look pixilated. Thanks for the content!
Hi Cam, that's a tough question! 😅 There are many factors at play but some of the precautions I recommend include compressing your psd to a jpg, making sure your illustrator canvas is big enough, and illustrator file is scaled properly in Indesign (100% scaling in the frame) Let me know if you would like more clarification!
Hi Anthony, I think the best way would be to import the illustrations as smart objects, and ensure that your Photoshop canvas has enough pixels to display the level of detail you are looking for!
Archi Hacks thanks for replying! is that your method of choice? it’d be cool if you could do video on transferring between illustrator and photoshop 😂 I just want my images to look crisp lol

I love the tip about the BW+Colorize! Did you not end up making a 3D model of the project?
Yeah it's definitely one of my favourite features! We ended up making a 3D model later but this rendering was pretty independent from the model :)
Haha thnku nice snowa hah😜
This is genius
Thank you so much!
please do more of these
Thanks for your explicit tutorial, such quality content ! btw can you share that photoshop source file? it seems lead to some irrelevant rhino model.
Great video, helpful indeed! :D
11:29 That pause when you realise that you could've made the image even better the first time round with more cat hairs
Admittedly, that the moment 😂 👌
Great tutorial. Can you do a interior rendering workflow?
Glad you liked it! Stay tuned for more rendering tutorials 👐
I think that the most important is how you search the images intentionally on matte painting

10:11 I cant stop seeing black cat hair now lol
It cannot be unseen!
Do you use any wacom tablet or were you just using a mouse?
Just a mouse for this one
HARD
So... This project is a spaceship? That flies through cold mountains?
Wow that was fast! Your question is addressed in the video 😉
I found it very interesting, but still think it's weird haha
Yeah I understand : ) That's probably why we didn't win the competition haha
How can I transfer work from illustrator to photoshop without losing it's quality?
Hi Anthony, I think the best way would be to import the illustrations as smart objects, and ensure that your Photoshop canvas has enough pixels to display the level of detail you are looking for!

This is why engineers hate architects
