Thanks. Have to do the same on my 3rd gen. Been looking for an actual video on how to get the window out.

yea getting all the window regulator mechanism and glass is a task without drilling the rivets. However if reassembly is to happen after getting sprayed, removing the rivets is a must to avoid scratches as it will allow you to drop the glass straight down without having to fiddle with anything. and chance to ruin the paint.

I need a new glass anyway so I will remove the runner and then probably use nut and bolt when fixing to the new window. I may fix it together before slotting it in door or I might see if I can fit it when in the door if it's just nut and bolt

@@FunkyProjects i thought about nut and bolts but my concern is that unless the bolt is exactly the same diamater of the hole it could get loose overtime and start moving. I got some peel rivets just as it was OEM

@@Subypowa yeah I did think about that. I did think I could possibly use some thread lock on the bolts. I will be able to decide what I'm going to do when the time comes after I have the glass here ready to go back in and I start fitting things back together. I will be able to get a better idea at the time 👍

Make a shorter video with less gab. Just say that all we have to do is flip the widow upside down so the wheel can exit through the forward opening. Done. 13 minutes of gab, 2 minutes of information lol
