hi I have a type 2 5 speed 800 , its going to be 23 yrs old this coming July . its been such a joy to drive , recently done work on mechanical parts as didn't want to take risk , its now mechanically sound , the pick up of the car is amazing after the work . only few minor issues are there like driver side ac vent crack , front right fender scratch , roof paint pealing ( need a good repaint soon to original ruby red color) . Planning to keep this car for ever .

ബ്രോ എന്റെ വണ്ടിയും 5 സ്പീഡ് ആണ്.. ഞാനും more than 1 lakh ചെലവാക്കി 2 വർഷത്തിനുളിൽ.. 4 സ്പീഡ് വണ്ടിയുടെ 2 ഇരട്ടി ചെലവാണ് 5 സ്പീഡിന്.. Bt 5 സ്പീഡ് വണ്ടി ഓടിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ സുഖം അത് വേറെ തന്നെ ആണ് ബ്രോ.. 😍

One month back I brought a 2003 STD 800 for learn to drive for my wife in Cochin..It cost 45000/- after that I spent 5000/- for oil change and other small works now battery changed it cost 3000/- .I am using it in High rang. weekly I am driving it to Cochin. I have a HONDA CITY also but I like this car to drive.

Bro I am using 800 5 speed. Biggest cost I had was due to under body rusting. Costed me around 20,000 . In our climate you need to do under body coating.
Other than that all other work are normal wear and tear only. Like clutch, steering rack, suspension work etc
My car is 22 year now and 1.25 lakh km done
The rusting is actly common nd nothn to complain about.but its all about how u take care of the vehicle..mine was a total mess..tats y it costed me tat much..but the car is such a gem..nyways happy to hear about ur vehicle bro😍

I was not here for few years.. and thats how it got rusted. When i came back cleared all issues. Costed me around 60,000

Yes I agree with you the car is very good. Though i have ciaz too, i still prefer to drive around the 800 for all drives inside TVM city.
Handling and acceleration is too good. Plus i get 18+ within city too.
Mine i am planning to keep for a loong period. May be if allowed will do electric conversion after 5 years 😀

Veetil thalli ketti... and then you will hear all sorts of comments from your relative's and friends. I have decided to keep the car and repair it. Do you have any suggestions on where you will get proper expert advice on what all maintenance are required to make it good condition? I gave the car yesterday to popular service for general inspection and service
