I can only recommend this place. The whole area is amazing. It truly is my favourite part of Europe. One of the few places I'd consider moving to. Just for the mountains.
Looked like a tough but enjoyable climbing session. You seem to like the mountain races. Not too many runnable bits this time. Well done for getting it done 👍🏻🏃♂️
@@TDMiller Likewise! I had already started to feel a little sub-par on the first climb - HR elevated, more sluggish than usual so needed to dial it back a little and steel myself for the long day ahead :)
11:18 "All this uphill does make me wonder if I should retire early from my trail running" 🤣 Ain't it the words we all tell ourselves in the middle of a race
Great experience, Timothy, thank you for reminding me! Completely viewed with great appreciation and admiration for your experience there! I remember that last long descent! Best wishes friend! 👍
That's a lot of climbing! You really captured the mental side of ultra running here. Sometimes why we do it doesn't make much sense when we're halfway into it and feeling all the pain :)
@@TDMiller Thanx, i'll try them. Do you have a specific model to recommend(for running) or better... why don't you make a video for socks!? (excuse me if you already have one)
Well done on the race, great video and editing! Would like to see a review of how the Mont Blancs held up during the race, not a lot of content or reviews on them for proper mountain races like this. 🙌
@@TDMiller Thanks! The reason I am asking is I bought a pair and have been very happy with them. It was very difficult not to think of all the negative reviews like heel slip, foot moving etc when running downhill so I did notice it, bit nothing too bad. Thanks again for the great content!
Great work Timothy! Now I need to start dropping hints to my fiancee about a family holiday to Cortina where I might just pop out for a little run...

What an amazing process is trail running.
Thanks for taking us along for the journey. 🤙
Hoping for a 2024 vid😉
Congrats, and well done, thanks for the video💪
so well put together.., so scenic..
Thanks! It's amazing here

I love the views, but hate the actual climbing 😅 gotta find me some flat races next time
Glückwunsch zum Finish! Die Strecke sieht traumhaft aus, steht definitiv auch auf meiner Liste. Sehr stark!
Danke!
Great video!!! Such a beautiful place to run.
Thanks! I can really recommend it, if you're ever in this neck of the woods.
thank you for sharing this incredible experience!
Glad it is somewhat entertaining for others to watch me suffer 😅
Great video. I am running my first Cortina Trail next week. This gave me good idea of the course.
Awesome! I'm jealous! It's such an amazing event and hope you enjoy the ride!
Great video! You great!
Thanks! 🤘
Wow! Serious vertical! Great running/climbing my friend! Beautiful place! Keep pushing!
Thanks!
Nicely put together Tim, reliving the pain and the pleasure here. Epic indeed!!
It was really fun meeting you. Shame we kinda lost each other when we entered the woods. I thought you were ahead of me.

@@TheDeclancox my HR was also crazy high from the start. Probably adrenaline.
mi sembra una gara bellissima, spero che accettino la mia iscrizione per il 2023
Dita incrociate! (if that is correct Italian?)

Well done on the race. That is some serious scenery and landscapes. Awesome video. 👌
Thanks! A video I really enjoyed making 😊

Amazing landscapes! And a busy race!! Well done!!! Although all I heard was: you didn't do your mobility work and your hip and back were hurting 🤔...
I thought of you when I said those words. 😘

Excellent video, great landscapes. I noticed the socks you wore, did they make any difference?
I love Injinji for my trail runs. Dry quickly, never caused any blisters. I can totally recommend them!

I tried out a new UA-cam feature, replying to your comment via a Short video 😉
Great video so far, just have to ask - new camera? Like it… (now, back to the film)
Thanks. Actually, same cameras. Gopro 8 for the run, but phone (Samsung S20 FE) for the vlog style footage.
@@TDMiller it’s the Samsung , it gave some nice shallow depth of field and nice colour science

I'll try to whip something up! I really think the MB has gotten a little too much hate on the web. They are serving me just fine!

Leg masochist. 😅💪🏻 Congrats!
You know me 💪
Congratulations on first ultra!👏👏👏 That's a tough technical course for a first one. But so pretty. Good pick. Tromsø next?
Thanks! That one would be epic! Not sure if I'd be up for a chilly marathon, but I'd probably be more acclimatised for it than the Italian heat 😅
Which shoes did u race?
Altra Mont Blanc (regular) 😊
