So many positives in the video for cycling in general. Well done you did your team and sponsors proud and showed a new cycling community that your not only Pro cyclists but friends who are passionate about being bike riders who enjoy living the moment.
Best comment I heard from Alex Howes the other day….”this is my favourite bike and I have just put a power meter on it……..kinda ruined it”. What I love about these guys is it’s all about the riding.
When I was racing XC back in the 90s, we had to be able to gauge our efforts just by knowing our bodies. Power meters almost make it more difficult because you end up paying too much attention to it instead of just riding and being in tune with your body. The most we ever used was an HR monitor.
This video is amazing. To me having the riders describe what the race was like is the best part about it. It would be amazing to get that same type of feedback from regular races as well. Lachlan is a very gifted story teller.
I was in a local mtn bike race last night, my zone five for a third and zone 4 for the other 2/3. Last lap this dude sent it and I said the same, dude if you can go now, you win! He won. Cooked
I've followed road racing my whole life and this race (and now the EF report!) is perhaps in the top 5 events of the year I look forward to the most! It is worthy to note this race mimics in a sense how the Tour began.
have seen a few vids on the DK these ones are by far the best, low key, funny, exciting and lachy and alex are the perfect riding partners - more pls EF and Rapha
I was so stoked when I heard you guys were doing DK. You picked the perfect trio for the race. You made an excellent video to show us their hearts and the heart of this race. Much respect EF.
Not even finished and this episode is so awesome. From the start I loved that music! Set the tone perfectly! Lachlan's "mate I cracked ages ago?" Hilarious. This episode is the epitome of what I hoped for when you all announced the alternative races and partnership with Rapha. So very well done. Took me way too long to get around to watching this one though haha.
Makes one wonder. I don’t think rasta is banned in cycling (unless it’s like the Olympics). I guess they figure the smoking part would be a disadvantage. Or are these guys just naturally stoned? 🤷🏻♀️
Can somebody please explain to me the controversy of these guys racing? Colin is sponsored by Redbull and rocked Aero Bars and I didn't hear a peep, but "pros" took 2-4 and its armageddon. How can you hate on these guys, this was great.
"No skinsuits. No aero bars. No team bus. We don't want to take WorldTour cycling and impose it on this race. We're pretty much best friends, who happen to be WorldTour riders, entering this race like anyone else would." - Lachlan Morton Dang, well that trend certainly didn't persist for this year.
I raced the event in 2019 and there was a lot of talk about EF being there. Most of the comments were very negative. Especially surrounding the fact they bailed before the awards ceremony to hit their next event. I think there would be more support and acceptance from the "community" if they took a little extra time to mix it up with the regular racers there after the event. For example, at La Ruta in Costa Rica there were lots of pros racing too, but they were at the same group dinners and hanging out at the same after race party. I remember chatting with Tinker Juarez on the bus back to the airport and it still makes me smile to this day. Pros at amateur events? Kick our asses sure, but how about taking the time to break bread or have a beer with us too.
Why even ref the Tour at the start? Every cycling region in the world has these kind of ultimate events, usually unique to the region for climate, landscape/ roads etc. Appreciate it for what and where it is, not for what it isn't.
When I raced XC in Alaska in the early 90s, half the people racing were baked. I used to use a small amount for my exercise induced asthma; it actually works, unlike steroid inhalers.
Supported pros riding against 9-5ers without connections to private planes. Way to go!!! I'm so stoked you got your cycling experience of a lifetime at the expense of less than endowed participants. I hope this sells another pair or two of Rapha bibs.
Benjamin Zachwieja need some cheese with your whine? The guy that won was Not a pro tour rider with access to a private jet. And he smashed these guys hard.
4 years later - LACHY TAKES THE W! Couldn't have happened to a better athlete!
If these dudes were anymore chilled out they'd meet the legal definition for being in a coma.
their energy level was infectious. its 11am and i'm ready to go back to sleep
They’re in Colorado lol
Weed is legal in CO.
All their energy gets expended on the bike.
EF have become my No. 1 bike team to follow. They have now have a credibility in real cycling that goes well beyond the World Tour results sheet.
Amen. Breath of fresh air. Much more than winning to a cycling team. Have fun, spread the word and be good humans!
Lachlan is a breath of fresh air, - messing with the weird invisible structure of cycling!
Gravel racing is slowly becoming the American classics. Europe has cobbles, and we have gravel
I really hope so
@@damonh82 unfortunately, seems it might be the UCI that’s making that happen
Breath of fresh air, viewing pros outside the peloton. Real credit to the sport. EF hands down the most exciting world tour team.
I don't think there's ever been a better gravel film. Ever.
Hey rapha, this video totally sold a shirt lol. I love what your doing
Hey EF Education First! Stay as the title sponsor for many years to come! Absolutely inspirational!
Respect.
Phinney looks like Nigel Thornberry lol
how high is Taylor at the MTV moment, love it, dude!
Sasha Tromsa Colorado life, yeah?
Is TF ever not high?
hes a pro cyclist no way he takes drugs...
@@joe_3y3s haha phinney is something different though :)
Help I can't stop watching again and again reminiscing pre covid times
So many positives in the video for cycling in general. Well done you did your team and sponsors proud and showed a new cycling community that your not only Pro cyclists but friends who are passionate about being bike riders who enjoy living the moment.
And Lachlan did it this year. Fastest time ever .No me chingas
I hope you’re not chingando me. 😁

This one of the best videos I’ve ever seen.
Love this team so much more now, nice to see a human side to the pro peloton!
Human side of the pro peloton?????? Seriously ???????
Hey taylor, as a member of gravel community we accept you with love
This video is amazing. To me having the riders describe what the race was like is the best part about it. It would be amazing to get that same type of feedback from regular races as well. Lachlan is a very gifted story teller.

“Gripping the stick to tight” LMAO Taylor had 7 flats and they are in the car railing on him. Classic
I've followed road racing my whole life and this race (and now the EF report!) is perhaps in the top 5 events of the year I look forward to the most! It is worthy to note this race mimics in a sense how the Tour began.
Now we know why Alex races bicycles, ball sports like tether ball are hard. Great video thanks.
That was one of the best in this whole series.
Only an American can say " Almost there, only 163 miles to go" It shows you how big America is!
only like 2.5 hours driving. I've done 10 hour day drives cross country
Very cool video and race, more inspiring than the grand tours.
have seen a few vids on the DK these ones are by far the best, low key, funny, exciting and lachy and alex are the perfect riding partners - more pls EF and Rapha
This is SUCH a great video. Chapeau guys.
Dopers in the mix!!!!
Props to Colin Strickland. "If you can go at that speed, then you win. Go for it." And he did just that.
What an event, what a calendar, what a video! Thanks EF! 💪🏻
Taylor with a huge collection of Basquiats!!!
Wonderful
EF seems to have a team filled to the brim of good people
This was absolutely fantastic, thanks to all involved!
‘If you can go that speed...u win’. Classic
yes yes yes yes well done boys the effort was fully there you can see the hurt in this film but its raw af
Man, I love these guys! ❤
I've been waiting for this since Episode 1 of the series. Love what EF is doing here. If they put the cutting room floor tape out, I'd watch that too.
Thank you - this is so cool to see and so cool for cycling!
"We don't want to take WorldTour cycling and impose it on this race" while doing F1 pitstops :D hahaa! Loving it
Seen this too many times. So, so good.
Phinney got four more flats than me and he still finished hours before me! What a machine!
This is awesome 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Welcome to the community.
Wow this was really cool! Loved the content and seeing the riders be just normal people 😅
JV out there manning the feed zone. Nice.
Awesome vid, defiantly adding this race to the bucket list
I was so stoked when I heard you guys were doing DK. You picked the perfect trio for the race. You made an excellent video to show us their hearts and the heart of this race. Much respect EF.
What a damn cool video.
Very well done!
Phinney and the phantom flats hissing along!

Great film - keep em coming!,
Is it me or Taylor seems to be like an upgraded version of a hipster? So cool!
He sound and act like " I need peoples attention, I'm a butterfly " !!!!!!!!! I really want to be a NEO hippy !!!!! WTF!!!!!
upgraded? no way, more like "too cool for my shit" hipster
It's a shame Floyd's of Leadville couldn't sponsor them. They sound like Floyd's three best customers.
hahaha you are absolutely right!!!!!!!
Makes one wonder. I don’t think rasta is banned in cycling (unless it’s like the Olympics). I guess they figure the smoking part would be a disadvantage. Or are these guys just naturally stoned? 🤷🏻♀️
So raw love it!
Pretty cool to see JV grinding in that second feed zone
Super inspiring stuff. Thanks, dudes!
I Love this Video!
fantastic video!
Great to have these guys participate in these races. It’s great for cycling and the community.
Awesome to see you guys out there!! See ya next year??
Ooooh, a like from me already and I haven't watched yet. Will watch later when I get time, looking forward to it.
I was surprised there were zero EF guys representing at unbound this year. Out of alkl the teams that let their pro riders go, EF didnt.
Taylor is a world champ and a gold medalist, yet he’s just a guy 😎
The guy with curly hair must cut the weed :D
Good Stuff!
Can somebody please explain to me the controversy of these guys racing? Colin is sponsored by Redbull and rocked Aero Bars and I didn't hear a peep, but "pros" took 2-4 and its armageddon. How can you hate on these guys, this was great.
22:31 This ❤
love this

Dang, well that trend certainly didn't persist for this year.
man 7 flat is just brutal. most people would have given up after the 3rd and call it a day
Looks like a rad day out for the 3 vegan hipsters haha. Sweet edit. 2000 people! That is epic!
Are they having a monotone slow-talking contest?
Lachy is a great story teller but Taylor got the full DK experience.
Song @ 9:29
anyone know the model of the bikes their riding? thanks
I am doing dirty kansas this year Yo.

EF are the other side of the Ineos coin...

Because of course JV flies a plane...

Hallo
17:21 buttholes?
Lives in a house that looks like its gonna fall apart but has a 300 dollar rapha jersey
What’s wrong with his house?
You know they are sponsored by Rapha. So he got it for free.
