You watch 5 minutes of the tour, and I’m good for the day. This is the third time I’ve watched this one. Between Kanza and GBDURO.I think this is the best thing on UA-cam. Keep it up. Thanks.
Lachlan is chief. I'm not a professional rider. I'm a 57 year old dude who loves his bike, traveled through Mexico and looks for any excuse to explore. Lachlan is an inspiration. His humanity and his demeanor just make you love the guy so much. His wife at the end of this says it all. This is a fabulous piece and man... I didn't think it possible to love the guy anymore. Amazing.
Thank you for this, and for letting Lauchlan speak for himself. I know there's some discussion, but I love the way EF is shaking things up. I can't quite picture anyone from Ineos taking this on !
These videos are absolutely brilliant. The storytelling, the cinematography, everything. I'm becoming more and more of a cycling fan through watching these and excited for future vids to come! WELL DONE LACHLAN super impressive feat.
EF have really switched things up with these and I love it! Good on them for thinking outside the box and letting their riders do these challenges. Well in Lachlan, properly inspiring!
Just starting to get into cycling and just discovered your team/youtube channel and i absolutely love the alternative series. Feels like stuff everyone can strife for instead of something like the big tours. The dirty kanza one was fantastic as well and really makes me take up gravel riding. And most importantly it makes me pick up my lazy ass and get one my bike and grind out some km and get fit
I cycled through Ireland, southern tip to northern tip, Mizen Head to Malin Head, August 2018 with Wild Atlantic Cycling. The scenery on this brought back so many memories. I was only doing 85 miles or so a day on the road. I just cannot imagine doing the trails you documented. Just amazing! I get so much pleasure out of watching your adventures. Please keep them up! And congrats on a epic adventure!
Absolutely next level. Love it that this team is courageous enough to show another side of cycling...the side that we all can relate to and enjoy. Keep this up!
Amazing video, beautiful story. I would love to know more about the nuts and bolts of what worked and what didn't for those of us who are interested in this kind of riding - like what equipment worked, what kinds of food, how you handle the lights and batteries and navigating at night and all that jazz
An amazing video that has been done very well. I love the idea about going back to the core reason behind his cycling and showing true love for the sport. I would very much like to see a video if possible about the bike setup and gear he used.
Wow. I remember watching this unfold on IG thinking, something very special is happening here. Finally a story to be told of why we love bikes, for people who love riding bikes, by people who obviously love riding bikes.
A brilliant film. Thank you. More similar content, please. Lachlan seems a really grounded bloke - ice to see the human side of a professional athlete. Very inspirational.
This guy has ridden in the fucking dessert in Australia, he's climbed one of the hardest climbs on Colombia, he's ridden 3 week races, and he still says that is perhaps the hardest ride he has ever done. 👏👏 Chapeau for all those riding this event. For the love of riding 🤟🤟
Awesome video! While I follow along with the whole World Tour season, these alternative events really resonate a lot more, and the great content you produce really hits home too. Awesome stuff EF and Rapha! And great riding Lachy!
Welcome to ultra cycling! I almost choked laughing my way through this at your reactions. I was a night rider on a 4 person RAAM team in 2015. Sleeping on the ground, running from rattlesnakes in the dark with your spandex around your ankles and descending mountains in the dark in the rain while dodging shattered porcelain toilets in the road are part of the adventure! This terrain looked so tough. Kudos to you!
faaack, best shit going. this over the tour every day of the week. Thanks for all you do lachlan and the folks at ef. this is what gets me out there pushing it
Big respect to Lachlan. The series creates a bridge between the world of pro-riding and the grass roots love of cycling. The EF riders seem respectful of the events and really get into the spirit of it. I loved watching Lachlan dig into pizza and beer mid-ride. (p.s. on that subject: ua-cam.com/video/PZghs06DemA/v-deo.html)
Another belter of a video after the Dirty Kanza. Really enjoyed it. I like the direction EF are going with this alternative to the pro racing, mixing it all up. Great stuff guys.
Amazing video. Some incredible scenery. You can also do it on a "normal" tour! That way, you get to sleep properly at night ;-). EF is having great success this season, despite/because of (?) the alternative racing program. Makes you wonder hey? Although I wouldn't expect to see INEOS or Astana or even DCQ ever joining in. So, good for you EF, and thanks so much. Coolest jerseys in the peloton, too!
What an awesome journey! The highs. The lows. The beautiful surroundings, scaling an 8 foot fence with a fully loaded bike and cycling through rough conditions. I had to laugh when I saw the Sushi to-go in a bivy & how he discribed his encounter with a field full of 🐄 💩!! Thank you for sharing your journey with us "Dot Watchers".
How am I just seeing this? So inspiring. So beautiful. So much suffering and such a tremendous satisfaction after climbing out from rock bottom. One of the best videos on the internet without doubt.

Dude same. So good

Ummm was that a UFO at 1:48 ?

Or rather, Quickstep
Yeah ofc but thats the reason why they are destroying the competition. Because they take professionalism in cycling to another level

These mini episodes would make a great addition to Netflix and might reach a wider audience

also can't believe that the UFO wasn't the most amazing thing about this film. So incredibly good
🛸👽🛸👽🛸👽🛸👽🛸👽🛸
The best bike ride video I've ever seen. Big thanks and respect to Lachlan, the camera team and editing/production team.
Possibly the best cycling vid I've watched on YT. Just awesome
Lachlan Morton you are a legend!
Brilliant film; brilliant ride; brilliant team leadership for coming up with this alternative calendar concept. Chapeau!
“Giving up’s always worse than that dark moment...” Truer words have never been spoken. Awesome ride, great video 👍
Wow, nice, EF is so COOL!!! Lauchlan is the man!
Just epic!!
As many times as ive watched this. I refuse to believe Lachy's jersey stayed that clean

Man, his wife really gets it. Gets him! That's a beautiful thing.
Classic, almost iconic already. Great film. Chapeau to all involved.

We’re all so grateful for the documentation of Lachlan’s race. These videos are a phenomenal new way of procycling. Inspirational stuff.
"It doesn't matter about getting to the finish, because this is better than finishing, it's right now."
Lachlan Morton is awesome! This race is awesome, this documentary is awesome ! Thank you Education First
Smashing into the Irn Bru at 27.58, that’s why you felt amazing 😆🏴🚴
Totally awesome Bro!!!
This is freaking amazing Lachlan! What a ride. And what a supportive wife you have. Much luck on your next rides. Greatings from Holland 👊🏾
Absolutely next level. Love it that this team is courageous enough to show another side of cycling...the side that we all can relate to and enjoy. Keep this up!

One of my favorite pro riders. Such a cool cat.
@1:48 just casually chatting on the beach and a UFO comes whooshing over... EF pulling out all the stops for their films ;)

Best video of the year for me! The most authentical pro ride of 2019!!!!
Love this, thanks EF and Lachlan for shearing this, and you are lucky Lachlan who have a beautiful and supportive wife:-)
Great vid - for Lachlan, this is actually seriously good training for the big tours - character.
This needs an Emmy nomination or something, AMAZING
This video made me tear up. What an amazing achievement. Great job Lachlan and EF!
So good! Can’t stop watching!
What a legend
That was great. Lach, you are a maniac!
This was so great. Thanks for shooting Lachlan’s epic ride. Chapeau Lachlan.

It would be great to see you have a go at something like the BCBR
Awesome video! While I follow along with the whole World Tour season, these alternative events really resonate a lot more, and the great content you produce really hits home too. Awesome stuff EF and Rapha! And great riding Lachy!

Absolutely loved the film - Lachlan, way to ride your bike my friend!
What an awesome journey!

Amazing ride!
This was the best cycling video I've ever watched. Yep it was.
Wowee
Anybody else see the UFO at 1:45???
Perfect. Thank you.
Absolute quality as usual!
Chugging Irn Bru fuck yeah!
Thank you!
are you ever going to try and ride the great divide???? ive watched this video a hundred times....
Just wondering: Does the video have more “like“ than the gbduro kilometers?
1:46 UFO confirmed
Would love to know more about the bike setup, and what tyres he was running. I'd take a guess they looked like 32s which seems crazy on that terrain.
1:50 into this video I noticed a UFO. May want to take a look. Cheers D
5:13 aw man im sorry you had to go otb on film like that.
Will be nice to have subtitles in the videos. Made by Ef Education first, of course ;)
I was hoping this epic race would be documented, the video far exceeded what I thought it would be. Way to embrace the suck, Lachlan.
He’s a fucking legend.
Is ther anywhere I can go to geek out on the gear he used for this ride? I'm mainly interested in his bike setup.
