I know I know... where have you been Alex?! I'm back. And boyyy do I have a lot to share with you from the past month. But the main thing is that the Quest for the Sixes is in FULL Force. We are hunting that and working HARD to close that chapter.
We headed to Bradenton for the Sick the Mag Shoot Out during the NMCA event a few days early to test the 55 after a mishap at Sick Week in February. Our friend Ryan Witte asked Patrick Miller to come down and help tune since he couldn't physically be there. As a team we were dead set on a 6. BUT weather and transmission issues fought us HARD the first two days and set us back. We ended up pulling the transmission and rebuilding it a serious storm.

I have the highest respect and admiration for Dennis as a father, mechanic and as a man in general!!!!! If we just had 3% more men like him in the world it’d be a highly noticeable change for the better!!!!
These vids are great! Props to you for showing the reallife of racing, trails, tribulations, errors and working through the terrible conditions aswell. 👏 the boys didn't say much but when they did it was always chipper and positive good value. Every father should espire to be like Dennis cool clam collected humble methodical just keeps on trucking working through whatever. its so good to see you both working towards your goals. It would have made all that much sweeter accomplishing it.

I have been waiting for a very long time to see an update on the 55. Nice to see you posting again. One thing that might not be getting enough lauds is just how good your father is at this challenge. He works incredibly hard at making all parts come together and rarely gets a pat on the back. Well here's one from me: WELL DONE!!! Looking forward to more frequent updates!
This time lapse had me thinking of Her and Dennis quite often and especially when I am putzing around in my shop, had me a little worried that something was wrong...I'm glad to see them again. That Alex sure puts on a different 'game face' when she climbs into the cockpit and starts & handles that beast! One of the best family relationships I've ever witnessed in my 72 years!

One of the reasons I love videos like this is that so few casual fans have any idea how much work goes into making a Truly quick and street car! Trying to push a heavy (in race car terms) car that quickly is a very difficult proposition! On a side note, I could work with your dad. There is no quit in him. Mad respect!

The whole team is impressive! Lots of skill, especially for mostly young folks. From how she operates the controls and drives to how she talks about it, Alex knows a crapload about the car, which is not universally true! Great video!

One, Welcome back? or Thanks for getting back on. And I love the tech Gibberish. LOL your Dad does. And wow what a weekend of testing. This is what it's all about that most people don't know about. Get to the track and try to make a full pass, but end up chasing Gremlins all day and into the night, then finding a little 10 cent item broke, It's all about the love of the game, and what it takes getting there. As a little kid at the track with my Dad's friends, it was Fun, Rain, Cold, Hot, Bugs, and not getting it to run over 3 day's, and trying it the next weekend all over again. Thanks Alex and Family. Glad to see y’all back to making content again. Hopefully the spool valve change fixes the problem. It’s a shame you don’t have any way of monitoring charge pressure in your data logger. I was curious about how much pressure the front pump makes after the problems you guys had but after seeing your Dad being so methodical with the reassembly I’m sure he checked the tolerances or at least feeler gauged the pump. I’m hoping that you’ll see this next part and please take it as constructive criticism. From now on please have someone on your crew carry the laptop and other stuff you had laying in the passenger seat when you’re making a pass. You don’t ever want to know what it feels like to have a car flip or more correctly roll during a pass. You really REALLY never want to know what it feels like when a car rolls during a pass with loose tools in the drivers compartment I promise you. Mine was just a 6 twenty pass on eighth mile when a tire blew in the shutdown,a dinky 3/8” drive ratchet,extension,plug socket and two sets of plugs literally beat the F### outta me till the car came to rest. Anytime I see someone throwing something in the car before a pass it’s become a habit to let them know how bad that stuff can hurt during an accident god forbid it should ever happen. Again,great video and footage,happy to see you and your family back on here and good luck on those sixes hopefully before long you’ll be knockin down some low sixes consistently. 👍

I noticed that too, thought at first that one of the young Bucks should have stepped in and relieved Dennis but...on second thought, Dennis may have been sweeping but I think his mind was doing back-flips about a dozen different things involving the car...the sweeping was therapy while he thought things out?
