ya knko, when THOSE WHO CAN help, help THOSE WHO CAN NOT, some place some where that counts on the whole TYTHE-ing SYSTEM for what it's werth on a UNIVERSAL SCALE that is... if ya pay attention to such stuff... besides it's just being a GOOD PERSON!!! and GOOD KARMA !!! DO GOOD & BE GOOD and MAKE THE WHOLE BETTER WHILE DOING BOTH!!!!! (it really is that simple!!!!!) LOVE YOU ALL!
That Camaro punched me right in the feels. I bought a 1980 Z28 when I was 15 and dad and I spent a full year rebuilding it. Same color, same stripes. 😢
I really enjoy seeing VGG competing, driving, enjoying the rigs putting miles on getting a chance to relax a little bit. Derek is a Race car driver at heart. I feel this is like a vacation for Derek. Meeting new folks & challenging himself to be faster on track enjoying the company of his better half. Gimme a Hell Yeah Brother !!!
There’s obviously a ton of videos out there on sick week. But I always enjoy watching derricks videos. He’s good at getting those good angles. Thanks for the contact Bubba. Hope y’all stayed safe out there and had a real ball!!
That was awesome seeing you and the wife run the cars together family fun. I enjoy seeing yall traveling the roads to for these events. That Firebird looks soooo good. I really like that paint job on it. Can't wait to see sick week part 2. Great video keep them coming!!
Derek, that tie bolt locates that axle housing and that’s about it. When they shear, it’s 99.9% likely that the u-bolts were not tight enough. They need NEW u-bolts and tightening to required spec. 5/8” is up there north of 200lbft. Those tie-bolts are more like grade-10 or B-7. Love the show!
Correct. The centering bolt only holds the leaf pack together and provides that locating pin. The wear on the threads means the pack was shifting around from the U bolts loosening. Likely from reusing them. Always replace U bolts, they're not TTY, but treat them as such
Love the content Derek. It's nice to see a side of a drag and drive where the average guy can take a classic and just be tickled at a 12 second average and 1000mi cruise over a week. I've watched a lot of videos from sick week and you're the first to show more of what actually happens in between the runs
I had a Blue 1979 Camaro Z28 I bought in 1982 with 15,000 miles, 350 and 4 on the floor, Miss that car. looking for a VGG camo hat. I've been a deer hunter my whole life and stuffed many of deer in the trunk of my Z28. Keep up the great videos.
So cool that you are helping other folks get involved in this sport. I commend your attitude of doing this for "FUN" and showing it is not all about winning! Also the fact that you are always helping the other guy out! Blessing to you and your family! I was planning on seeing you guys in Gainesville again but the old covid bug had grabbed my for a few days.
This is thee most humble man on the planet........... spends more time maken other have a good time then himself. But I'm betting he's happiest when helping others. Great job brotha!!!!!
I'm loving the Monte Carlo. They are awesome as lowriders and drag cars. As lowriders, their stylish, tough looking, and so comfortable to drive with those pillow back seats, so cool!!!
Hot rods, wobble pops, and American pie. Put the pedal to the metal and make the smoke rise! Thanks for sharing this annual event with us, Derek. Safe travels and the best of luck to you, your wife, and team! 🇺🇸
Hoping your whole crew has fun, runs hard, and stays safe! Thanks for taking us along ~ Chuck. P.S. That ROADMASTER - my golly that thing hauls the mail.
Thanks Bieri fam! Always look forward to your coverage of Sick Week. Vanishing Paint looks Sexy in her new shoes, man. Can't wait till next runs to see how Homegirl handles Monte Borrow. I really wanna see that LS Rip!!! Have fun!
@ViceGripGarage. Derek you are the best and most caring friend anyone could ever want. How good was Heidi, She is a natural and will only get better the more seat time she gets. Loving the content as always from the VGG crew. Have a great week guy’s and most of all have fun 👍
Well a feller has decided thanks to VGG, Derek, and Jessica, that next year(SickWeek2024), a guy is doing it. No race experience, no drag experience, and limited wrenching ability, unfortunately. The will is there, along with support from 2 fellers above. I need to do this!! Thank you Vice Grip Garage!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
We have a few channels that we both subscribe to. You should check out Puddin's Fab Shop,Casey's Customs and Junkyard Dave. They're all good channels and I think that you will like their content. Junkyard Dave is building a badass 1000hp AWD Widebody Hellcat Charger/Magnum that he's hand built out of a Charger, Magnum, Chrysler 300, and Trackhawk.
I had a 71 Blazer 4x4 and the pin broke on the front axle and you talk about scary trying to drive it across a bridge and it wanting to draft left when you want to go right and right when your trying to go left. Luckily I only lived and a mile from home . I'm glad it didn't do anymore damage to that beautiful car then it did . Good luck down there
Love it. You guys are awesome. Thanks for taking me along. I got a VGG shirt and a key ring for Valentines Day. I want to grab some stickers, but you have an empty store. Thanks for the content, Derek.
It was cool seeing you all tonight. We all passed you on 75, my daughter and I were like “hey it’s VGG” . Thanks for inspiring everyone to keep the car culture alive!
Your willingness to share your passion and cars along with your support of everyone regardless of experience is amazing! You're a good friend and ambassador of the car community! Thanks for sharing! Have a fun and safe week!!
Vanishing paint looks great, what changes did you make? Also that Camaro is just beautiful. Monte barro looking great too! Can’t wait to see a week of racing from the most wholesome of points of view. Love you Derek!
It looks like he took the numbers and stickers off and put different wheels on it ,I'm not sure how much more he did but that's the changers I can see ,took me a while ,I new it looked different but wasn't sure why .
I was hoping you'd have that other Chevelle ready for this event. I hope you plan to make a drag and drive unit out of her. She's basically the perfect candidate seeing as how she's already got a cage, rear end and other things that would make it ideal imo. And lets face it, you look good in a 70 Chevelle :)
I was heading to south Florida for work and I was able to be a spectator on Monday. I was able to see all the fellas. Next year I want to go to them all. What a great group of people.
With all the golf cart engines taking over every day driving, it's awesome to see the true gear head, big displacement V8 culture is doing so well! We don't have much of that fun, drag week stuff going on here in Sweden, so I'll keep watching your great videos for my V8 rumble fix in the winter darkness.
Seeing y'all at one of my favorite places to ride my Harley too and being in my hometown of Bradenton is exciting. Wish I was there to see y'all run the Sick Week.
very cool, just now catchin up on some watchin, last few days have been a lil chatoic fer me as im actaully headin to tenn to see family in sparta, have an uncle that isnt doing to good an they didnt give him much time left, so some of the fam is loadin up in the folks truck an headin over for a bit, maybe ill see some of yall round, probly not but would be neat
Man I’d love to build a budget hot rod and participate in great events like this . Have a great time Derek enjoy the moment and thank you for sharing with all of us 😊🇨🇦
My wife and I were there on Day 1 in Orlando. We had just walked in and I saw you as you were leaving for breakfast (I assume). I yelled at you and wanted to say hi but I imagine you didn't hear me. Either way it was like seeing one of the beatles (referring to the disappearing paint....ha, just kidding). I work at a TV station and see famous people all the time but I was totally starstruck. Anyways, I have car projects at home and watching your videos and following you have totally rejuvatenated-ted-ted me to get back on those projects. Keep 'em coming feller.
A feller better be getting some rest tonight, long haul ahead yet. Going to be a great week! Love to see you bringing Jessica as your co-pilot this time, happy St.Valentines Day!
I know I've said don't change Vanishing Paint but ..Wow ! Looks like you did your patina thing and shine sauce and it looks Amazing . Especially with those Wheels. As always Thanks for the Ride and can't wait for more Killer Content.
Looks like so much fun , makes me wish I would have never sold my 67 Chevel I would so love to be in this event. One day. Your channel inspires me to wrench on stuff and hopefully drive a muscle car again soon 💪
You're a good guy Derek setting up a car so friends can experience sick week with you! Good luck and hope you guys make it with no break downs.
Thanks Chris
Same thing i was thinking about, Derek sharing his car to young lady and she will remember that for the rest of her life! Good job young man.
