Nous Chérissons ton souvenir dans nos coeurs mon brave garcon mon pauvre garcon.... We cherish your memory in our hearts my brave boy my poor boy. Thank you for doing these cleanings, I wish more people would take the time to do this, especially for older headstones, we need to remember our past and ancestors
THank you! I had actually run this through my phones translator and came up with basically the same. The crazy part is that this man does not show up in the family plot on Find A Grave at all...for such a large and beautiful monument, you would think there would be some record of him.
Wow Christopher! A super old graveyard, a mysterious old house and a peaceful sunny day in the fall. It doesn't get much better than this. You did a great job in leaving this in so much better condition than it was. Thank you! Thank you!
@@VirginiaTombstoneRevival I'm looking forward to seeing the improvement on each stone. Won't the caretakers of this property be surprised and amazed when they next visit! Hope your shoulder issue improves. Thanks again.
Re: Aime Maurice Bazile grave: Info from ‘The Richmond News Leader from Richmond, Viginia’ newspaper issue of Monday, January 16, 1928, page 16. Headline: Father of Leon M. Bazile Dies at Home in Hanover. Text reads “Aime Maurice Bazile, aged 79, a lifelong resident of Hanover County, and father of Leon M. Bazile, assistant attorney general of Virginia, died suddenly last night at his home a few minutes after rising from the supper table. Death was due to heart failure. Mr. Bazile was born in New Jersey in 1848 but moved to Hanover County when about 4 years old. His funeral will be conducted tomorrow at 10 A.M. from St. Anne’s church, Ashland, with interment in the family burying ground in Hanover.” Pretty cool history stuff on this family!
A lovely little family cemetery. The D/2 certainly started to work quickly on those stones. I remember being horrified when I had one turn really red where as the others I did 20 feet or so away didn't but all part of the process.
Eliza's looked great just after you cleaned it. Same with Leon's who was in WW1. Wonderful job on all the headstones. Loved seeing the photos at the end.
Great video! Glad you are back. We understand your work schedule is very demanding. Glad to see you when ever you have the time. Take care. Looking forward to your next video
This was a fantastic video to watch!! 😉😁! Mostly because you went to a small family gravesite with a history! Most, if not all, of your cleanings have been at one or two GIGANTIC graveyards. I would LOVE to see you go to the smaller graveyards, situated around churches and such. Maybe you'll find an interesting history the church/graveyard and even may find a grave stones of a famous person. Those headstones really need some attention, especially the very old ones. Babies and Veterans are buried in the smaller graveyards too. I supposed you'd need to check with the pastor, reverence or priest of the church graveyards first .... but IDK. THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!!
A surviving family member apparently had it moved from its original location so that a Home Depot could be built but to a just been sitting for yeeeeeeears now untouched. It has one hell of a history.
Wonderful job. I think this cemetery was moved when the house was moved. Many of the individual memorials make note that the stones were ‘lost to time’ or the site is unknown. Dates indicating two young children belonging to Fanny and Jean Maurice. And his memorial reads… Jean Maurice Bazile BIRTH 1826 DEATH 1896 (aged 69-70) BURIAL Bazile Family Graveyard at Big Rock Hanover County, Virginia, USA A farmer in Hanover County. He and his family helped to save the grape crops in his native France during a devastating Grape phylloxera infestation- in France known as Phylloxera vastatrix. Jean Maurice was able to send cuttings from his farm "French Hay" to France. A kind, hard working old world gentleman. His grave is in an unknown section, with no headstone. He lies next to his darling "Fanny"
A shout-out to Jockey Underwear: Christopher was so kind as to provide you with a free advertisement. Maybe you could spend some of your millions of dollars and donate a larger water sprayer, a new bucket, and a few brushes to him. D2, you could donate some free spray. Let's not forget Procter & Gamble, which makes Dawn dish soap. He will provide the muscle!
Welp….i was wondering who’d call the underwear out first. Hahaha. I could feel them potentially being exposed, but my belt doesn’t go any tighter. lol.

Glad you enjoyed it. It really was a beautiful day out there on Tuesday. I will be going back in a few weeks to check on the progress of the stones.

What a great job you did!! I think the most touching are the headstones of young children or infants. Love the pics at the end, ty for that!!!

Yeah the first time I tried straight un-thinned D2 and I freaked out when it all began to turn orange.

Last one, far left was March and May as birth and death(?).
Looking on Findagrave, the last 2 were mother and daughter 😢
Wow! I wonder if the older Elise died after having baby Elise? It was a month after Elise was born that she died.
That’s what I’m thinking happened.
Do you ever have to ask permission to do that???
I try to where I can. Sometimes it’s not always possible given the age or location of the stones.
