- David Archuleta first hit the scene in 2008 when 30+ million television viewers fell in love with him and made him a fan favorite on Season 7 of “American Idol.” Fast forward to 2021, and David is releasing his first-ever Children’s book, “My Little Prayer” and his latest album “Therapy Sessions” looks at his internal struggles. He joins our “Let’s Get Lit” episode to talk about his newest projects.

David, God sees no blemish and does not make mistakes. He loves you just the way we are and so should everyone. maybe your purpose in the world is to share your gift ...your testimony your song (psalm)with others. Your gifts are to share with others. You have His light in you.
Being gay doesn't make you any less a child of God and never let anyone tell you that you are. He did not make you that way to turn away from you because of it. God bless you for being open about it.
What about someone who kills and rapes ppl God doesn't turn them away but in his word he does not agree with it so yes anyone can be forgiving for ur sins I pray ppl wake up this is not from God we all are being programed to follow what the world wants read ur Bible study God does love everyone but he does not want ppl to live in sin this way and yes he will forgive so who ever is reading this I pray for you to have clear understanding amen

This gave me tears because I resonate with David so much, growing up it was really hard to understand why I had the feelings I had, but i intuitively understood one day that I am this way for a reason and every other gay person has been created the same way we are all created from love 💕 and no matter who we choose to love we will always be loved by our creator. I wish you all the unconditional love and happiness this world has for you David, you are a beautiful light worker here to help raise the consciousness on this planet❤
I know a couple guys who get this.. it's weird knowing that and knowing their "best friends" don't even know.
This is great! He really talked freely and so well. We all need to know that God has a plan for us and he will strengthen us in our weakness and he will show us the way to become our best selves if we trust in him. I love that boy!
Thanks so much for this David! A lot of people will never understand how brave this makes you. Actually, I don't think I've ever heard of another openly gay Christian making music. Good job David, YOU WILL SAVE LIVES.. I wonder how many lives the Christians that have judged you saved.

I prayed the same prayers as you have and got the same response from our Father in Heaven. We are not broken. The feelings you have are confusing and just know he knows your thoughts and how hard this is for you. I praise him for taking the focus off these desires from me and put my focus on him and his will. I wish I could talk to you about my testimony in person and let you know just how much God loves you. It's horrendous how religion can wreak havoc on those dealing with their sexuality. My heart goes out to David. If only he could pull himself out of religion, he'd be much better off. I did and never looked back. Best thing I ever did.

I am a 64 year old married Christian who has battled with the same desire. The LOVE of my life is Jesus and I look forward to the Marriage Super of the Lamb. Revelation 19, the vision reveals the marriage supper beginning as the Lamb, Jesus Christ, comes to earth for His bride, the Church. My perfect same sex attraction is becoming His pure and spotless BRIDE.

Your church has put you through Hell. If you had been brought up in almost any other church things would have been better. Yours is one of the most restrictive churches where sexuality is concerned. Everyone is entitled to a sex life. The life of a monk is a chosen life. Very few want that. You are not sinful despite what your church might like to think. Your celebrity gives you a wide audience who will listen to what you have to say. Your story is what you need to spread to benefit others who are in a situation similar to yours. Being attracted to anyone who is a responsible adult is fine. The road to Hell is not paved with love. It is paved with hate. Who you love is your business. You don’t owe it to anyone to love someone you don’t. God may ask for a lot but not that. That’s denying a natural part of you. There are hundreds of thousands of Mormons who tried to stay in the church but felt excluded due to their being gay. You are just one among the many. However you have a louder voice than most due to your career. You have had to do a 180 in your life due to evolving as a human being. That isn’t easy. Don’t be mad at yourself or consider that you are a bad person. You aren’t. You just outgrew the Mormon church and their artificially stringent beliefs. You will find someone who will inspire you to go on in your life and finally allow you to be the happy person you should be. Don’t look back. There isn’t anything there you want or need.
I hope David remains chaste and pure so he can retain a recommend.
