    Yet another belter pal, makes me want to visit Australia and ride there, looks bloody fantastic, lucky to find a muddy farm track where I am in England. Plenty of good tarmac roads, in fact some fantastic ones but a lack of decent tracks like you have. Take care and keep em coming.

      Thanks mate, my brother lives in England and was saying the same thing to me just today. Some good road riding though eh? Plus you've got all Europe just a ferry away, a bit harder from here!

    I've often wondered when up that way where that road to the right at St Albans went. Looked good until the sand. St Albans to Bucketty is a good ride and then back via the Old Pac. Nicely edited.

      Thank you! It takes ages to edit but it’s enjoyable. It’s actually a great little ride, I normally head out towards Bucketty from St Albans which is also a good run but this was actually great.

    Cheers mate. NZ based although watching your latest ride in Bora Bora. Ride a Tiger 1200 Rally Pro. Thoroughly enjoy your videos.

      Wow, Bora Bora is on my bucket list. Mate of mine hired a yacht there and spent a few weeks cruising, it looks amazing.
      Thanks for the comment too!

      Great to be away from 7C & rain in Wellington. Navigation would be tricky with all the Reefs. Scooters everywhere here.

      I've had a few scooters over the years, especially during my time in Japan. They are a lot of fun.

    Say, What happened to your upper crash bars? Could have sworn you had them previously.

      Thanks mate, appreciate the comment. I haven’t had upper crash bars fitted yet, but probably should. I’ve only had one decent fall and upper crash bars would have saved me a few scratches on the upper cowling.

    Your videos are always very real and interesting, I'll be visiting Sydney from India next summer and wondering if I it's possible to rent any ADV similar to Tiger 900 to explore some off the beaten path attraction points in and around Sydney. TIA

    • @australianadv
      @australianadv  Рік тому +1

      Thanks mate. I don’t rent bikes in Sydney so not going to be much more helpful than Google, but I hope you enjoy your trip. If you’re a tourist you might like to run up the coast from Sydney, lots of nice towns and beaches.

    Just had a very rough day on my 1200 in the dirt that ended in a mate picking me up with a bike trailer. Couple of shots here where you didn’t have gloves on…. PLEASE never ride without gloves…! LOTS that can go wrong with a stack and bare hands… they are pretty fragile.

      Thanks mate, appreciate the comment. I agree with you and normally ATGATT. I left my gear before the river crossing and went a few kms further up on easy track before heading back.
      Hope your day wasn’t too bad and it was just your bike that had trouble and not you.

    You live in a magnificent country.I think soft sand is mostly not to everyones taste on a big bike that is.Thanks.

      Always like your comments Bruce, and I agree it’s a great country. Distance is a killer though, a lot of the places I want to ride a very far away.

    Trumpet seemed to cope well with the sand and water

      @australianadv  Рік тому

      Could be worse, but to be honest all these big ADV bikes are pretty hard to manage in sand.

    Another nice vid. Without spilling all your secrets, what program is it that shows your planned route? And whats your video/audio recording setup?

    • @australianadv
      @australianadv  Рік тому

      Happy to spill! I used Google Earth Studio for the maps and Da Vinci Resolve for the editing. Recording with GoPro Hero 10 on a chin mount plus a bit of iPhone.

    • @swampymarsh7214
      @swampymarsh7214 Рік тому

      @@australianadv nice. I have a chin mount for a gopro but find wind noise real bad. I from time to time plug a lav mic into my phone and put the mic in my pants pocket. No wind noise and picks up more exhaust noise, just have to sync it. Davinci resolve is too complicated for me lol. I've got movavi.

    • @australianadv
      @australianadv  Рік тому

      @@swampymarsh7214 yeah DaVinci takes a bit to work out but it’s very powerful.
      I use the GoPro mic but I stuck a bit of mic foam over the mic hole and it seems to help a bit.

    Should find a riding coach that specialises in Trials. It's the BEST form of riding to learn control over the bike.
