Great video Pamela! The colors for the Crayola and Luminance were a really close comparison to each other, but the Luminance leaf definitely had more va-va-va-voom payoff to it. You proved that a person who might not be able to afford artist grade pencils, can take a budget priced colored pencil set and still make beautiful creations with them.
I could see a difference too. Luminance definitely has that color payoff. But, if the entire page was done with Crayola and we weren’t looking at them side by side, we wouldn’t even be able to tell. Considering the difference in price, I’d be just fine with only the Crayolas if that was all I could afford. Having the Luminance is a luxury and a set I never thought I’d own. I do love them.
@@PamelasPassionforPencils Absolutely, I agree totally! I've used budget brand pencils and was surprised at how well the pictures turned out and how the pencils performed. I sometimes use my budget brands as a practice run or test page, before grabbing for the more expensive artist brands. I love your videos, they're always very informative. Keep up the great work and Happy New Year!
As always Pamela a super tutorial, I love the Cryola pencils too, just have to handle them differently I find, thank you 💖
some times when i watch your videos i wish i could give you more than one thumbs up this was one of them you are such a good teacher😊
That is so sweet of you to say. Thank you so much. I'm so glad you're enjoying my videos. Happy Coloring!
Very interesting! 🙌🏻👍🏻👏🏻🎉🎊🪅🥳💝💖🤩💜💗😘💗💓🇨🇦
I have given away a lot of my pencil sets which I hardly use, but kept my Crayolas! Love ‘em!
The colors in the two sets look exactly alike but when you lay down the luminance, you can tell it is more pigmented.
What makes you decide where to lay the first layer of highlight?
These are amazing I think you matched these up so good tyfs it's nice to know inexpensive pencils can be just as good.
What a close comparison but I knew it would be close as I have the Crayola’s also. You are one talented person Pamela, I appreciate all your videos.
Yes it was so close! Thank you for the sweet compliment. I’m so glad you’re enjoying my videos. Happy New Year!
I do love my Crayola pencils, but I just don't use them as much anymore. I always stick with my Prismas or my Polychromos. The Luminance is on my wish list though and this video made them jump to the top now! I'm dying to get my hands on some!
I hadn’t used mine in some time and really missed using them. I need to pull them out more. It was fun using them again in this video.
Great video, thanks for sharing!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Happy coloring!
Personally, I love crayola. Excellent video btw!! Thank you.
Crayola are awesome! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the video, I like the crayola leafe better, it looks more natural, the other one is too vibrant
I like them both but like you say the luminous was the stronger blend you did well to get the Crayola down xx my be a brown or black would have got you to were you wanted to be xx 😘
I like to use gray to darken my colors. I’m not sure if you saw that part of the video? There was a part of the video showing how to use grays. I believe the video has timestamps on it.
@@PamelasPassionforPencils yes 👍 I did see that but will try the brown or the black my darken the colours to much but worth a try as well xx I like your Chanel xx 😘
I love Crayola And am crazy about the 100 box of Crazy Arts too, wish you’d do a review of them because they are notable
Oh I've been wanting to try the big set of Crazy Arts!
I think both leaves look great. Great tutorial.
I agree they look very similar. The Luminance did have a bit more of a pop of color - more vibrant and intense, but you can only tell when you look at them laying right next to each other.
Very interesting video! Thanks so much for sharing this info. 💜
I’m so glad you enjoyed it. 💕
What about something in the mid range?
Very surprised at how few greens there are in the luminance set!
Me too! Never noticed until this video, but there are also not as many colors unless you add in the portrait set. A “portrait” set definitely wouldn’t have too many greens though.
nice
i love it
They both look good 👍
I agree. Especially considering the price difference.
The school, as it has the toughest mine, needs a little more effort to deliver the color.
😍
