It takes courage and determination to finish a full marathon, much more are needed with your injuries Josh. We all learnt something about you as well. I am very happy for you and your family!
Not a runner... and have no plan on taking it up... But what an amazing story and review of the event. Congrats on finishing, mate. Seriously, seriously impressive.
Whoa super effort!!! Congrats. It’s a tough event on its own, but after hitting the deck on Friday and dinging yourself up, especially the all important gams is just mega. Hope you’re feeling better recovered now and carrying no residual effects from the crash. It’s no wonder your vids are so good. You obviously apply the same commitment to everything you undertake. Congrats
Hey mate, feeling not too bad honestly. My knee is a big tight and I can’t ride my bike, but I’m happy to be mobile. Thanks for the incredibly kind words, people like yourself keep me motivated to make content!
Sunk cost fallacy ;) I'm kidding, I just wanted to give it my best shot. I was at peace with turning up to the start line and not being able to finish.
It was a good time. One thing which is good about these videos is we can go back and watch it in the future and remember all the good times we got up to
Too right mate 30kms is where I hit my wall!! I remember my friends who came as my support crew telling me 1 more run club 12km route - my legs were spasming with cramp and I was definitely under fueled, but running a marathon taught me a lot about myself. Watching you accomplish it is giving me the runners itch!! So maybe I’ll take up that hobby on a more regular basis! Would love to run a few kays with James!
What a journey! People usually get stitches while running, of course you decided to get some before starting. Really sweet of your dad to join in! Clearly there's a fitness gene in the family. I reckon 11:51 beats 11:37 hands down! That framing! Also love the music buildup from 16:48 leading to 17:20 right into 17:38. So.... 3 hours next year, 2 hours the year after?
Hahaha I think I did get some good genes, but behind that is a lot of hard work and dedication 😎 my dad did a lot of training. Hahaha you’re right, running directly under the bridge was incredible. Thanks for appreciating the music, sometimes it takes a lot of work to find that perfect song!
Awesome effort to everyone and good on you for finishing 😮. Personally i think I'll stick to the MS Gong ride 😉 You did forget the most important thing though .... how's the bike 😂 Your Dad and James 👏👊 🍻
@@joshkwan I had a mate who scratched his Colnago when breaking his wrist, he would have taken a broken arm to avoid scratching his bike.... we do get attached to them

Thanks Richard! It honestly was an incredible event and experience. Sometimes you need to test yourself and see your limits :)
Much inspo! 👏 your dad and wife are absolute beasts!!
They freakin smashed it. Theyre both amazing.
your turn for a mara next? ;)
We love Josh Kwan running content 🤝 congrats on first mara boss
Thanks sir. Couldn’t have done it without your guidance and expertise.

Thanks so much mate! Appreciate you watching the video even though running isn’t your interest
I hope you enjoyed it :)
what an emotional finish, well done!!
Congrats Josh!! Amazing resilience ... you are the best!!
Unrelated to running, but this video inspired me to randomly go on a 24 mile ride. Hit a new pr avg speed of 22.3 mph. Much love for the inspiration!
Love that mate! Get out there and enjoy the outdoors
Yessss sirrrr!!! Incredible and inspiring to see you do this mate 💪💪
Thank you! Always back yourself 🫡
Mate, well done. For a second there, I thought you weren't going to complete it. What a legend🔥🔥💪🏾
It was a struggle for a while, and plenty of excuses were in my head. But we got it done 🫡
Great effort Josh, you Jess, your dad and James should be very proud.
Thank you! I think all round we had our own battles and we came out the other side proud of our effort.

Not in a million years would I even consider a marathon after a crash. Hats off to ya, made of harder stuff than me.

Congratulations, I just hope you don’t regret it with a persistent hip, knee problem affecting your cycling!
Good job

Congrats 🎉 Amazing effort 💪 I ran it too. I hope Sydney becomes a Major next year 😊
It was such an epic event, it feels like the whole city put on a show.
I hope it becomes a major as well
@@joshkwan Agreed, I felt the energy out on the course too.
Watching this while on Zwift, it's great motivation to push more watts!
Glad to provide entertainment while you’re in the pain cave 😂

@@joshkwan no Sworks yet then 😇
Sworks one microwave lunch at a time
Hoka .. Clifton’s or Bondi running shoes are my choice & huge fan for many triathletes 👍
I’ve tried the Cliftons before and liked them. I do love my current rotation though
Basically, it’s what ever shoe you feel most comfortable wearing 👌
Bad luck re the knee however well done, congrats
Thank you! Sometimes life throws you adversity, it’s about what you do to overcome it :)
Can't wait to watch the rest of this after our chat hehehe
Thanks for having me on mate, I had a blast. Let’s catch up soon please 🫶
@@joshkwan so good to catch up brother - roll, trot, coffee or a feed we will make it happen! Congrats again on your race man 🙌🏻
Amazing, bucket list item !! Well done...more importantly, how is the bike????

Health is wealth. But also not having a broken bike is wealth 🥲
@@joshkwan thank god you were not seriously hurt, your bike was ok and you managed to complete the marathon.
Your wife??? Congratulations! 😮
Thank you 🫶
Great effort, blah blah blah. I hope the bike is ok😜

Bike is fine, needed some new bar tape is all. Seems like I sacrificed my body to save it. Hahaha
what camera did you use
Insta 360 AcePro 🤙🏻
Your mind gives out first before your body.
A lot of people are stronger than they realise, they just need to push themselves or find their motivation :)
