That is so cute and it's easy! Great project to do with young people. Oh, and for those who say it's not macrame, she mounted the yarn using a larks head knot, which I believe is a macrame knot.
Ok, yes... this is not technically macramé BUT for people like me, that are just starting and feel overwhelmed by the amount of knots and TIME than an actual macramé project will take this is BRILLIANT!!!! It would be some sort of a hack or alternative to the oh so much time consuming real thing and it is not bad! I'm ADD so my attention span would work perfectly with this kind of project. Don't hate that much, guys! Frowning and hating gives you wrinkles.
CarolitaRo hi 👋 I used chunky yarn for my over door hanging, my next project is my bedroom wall ...for my door I used 2 rolls of chunky yarn 32 cords n each cord I usde wooden beads on it too it looks pretty really

I actually really love this! It's really simple, but a very doable diy for a beginner (aka me, with no marame skills at all).
I think its a great starter for beginners like me. I can crochet and sew anything!! Macrame is new to me. Thanku for your video. And your voice is not irritating like others commented. Keep posting for yarn macrame. thanku

How would I make this bigger? What I just have to have a multiple of three when it comes to the bunches?
No expert here, but yeah, that's what I'd do. Get a dowel or stick as large as you want and eyeball how many bunches would look good on it.

Do you know which thickness of yarn you used?
I can't be certain, but it looks like she used a #6 super bulky weight. It might have been a bulky #5.
It appears to be acrylic or an acrylic/wool blend. Cotton would look more like macrame cord but the acrylic is easier to work with.
Yarn like loops and threads charisma, lion brand wool ease thick and quick, lion brand hometown usa or bernat softee chunky would all be good choices to give a similar look.
After seeing it close up at the end, I suspect, based on the look of the strand and the slight sheen, that she used hometown usa.

You might know this already but FYI macrame rope works a lot better then yarn. Yarn is really too flimsy, light and fragile to be used for macrame. Rope is in various millimeters and holds up. It also hangs better!
I've read through a handful of comments so I'm not saying anything new... it's a very simple yarn art but not macrame. However, this could be a cute project for children.
I also want to add, that yarn can be used for macrame, though it's tricky. You will need either chunky four ply yarn, or you'll need to make your own four ply with worsted weight. This piece just doesn't do anything for me.

This isn't even macrame. Do you realize that macrame is the art of tying knots? You didn't tie any knots so this isn't macrame, it yarn art. Anyone who thinks it is, is just stupid. you better learn more about what it is you are doing videos on before you do a video.
