13:17 you can also get hyphens in the name by typing the integer limit of 2147483647 and making a copy, as it will try to add one but just add a hyphen. You can continue making copies and it will just keep adding hyphens, and it can even go over the character limit. Would also like to add there are two rated levels (1. Beggining of Time and 2. PolarDream both by xDream) that somehow have periods in the name

I figured out the 2.147 billion bug myself
The button was removed in 1.8, but it didn't work properly in 1.7 once you place a speed portal.

2:15 This part has always bugged me because mixing two colors makes a singular color. You don't say orange is actually colored red because mixing red and yellow makes orange. So it's actually TINTED blue because the ORIGINAL color was yellow, which makes more sense.
1:11 I noticed that while playing a 4 star level: I saw that the number of orbs I collected was equal to my percentage, so since the orbs I should have collected by the end of the level was 125, this way I would have collected only 100 orbs, therefore I theorised 1/5 of the orbs was kept for once you finish the level. Then, comparing that with other difficulties I realised I was correct
Same for demons, but 4 orbs a percent and an extra 100 when beating it. This is how i found out about the 80% 20% thing
1:15 I kinda subconsciously figured this one out just by playing a lot of easy demons, they give you 500 orbs total so 400 orbs for a 100% and 4 orbs per percent, which I would notice and then realize.

Technically it's 4 orbs per % from 1-99 and 104 for 100%

edit: i have another one : every 500 mana orbs you get, you get a demon key
There's a bug, that spawns a big version of the default small cube and it's cursed as hell.
I thought the 1 demon key per 500 orbs was well known

A fact that you didnt mention is that you can re sync a song to a level by pausing and then continuing. This is really usefull for playing on crappy devices due to lag slowing down the level but not the song.

7:21 Electroman Adventures also had its difficulty changed, but that was in 1.7, unlike Back on Track through Cycles, which had their difficulties changed in 1.9. Electroman Adventures was re-rated from Harder to Insane in 1.7, making it the only official level to ever have its difficulty go up.

2:49 I have actually used 1000-1012 before (except for 1008 because that’s an NA channel) and still do so today. And I learned not to use Lighter (1012) as an object’s main color so I wouldn’t freeze my game playing the level. That’s fun. Also, this is a really interesting bit of info.
I actually use NA colors when I need a static color for objects that can be pasted freely into other levels.
The game is only missing a unoccupied static blending color. Right now your choice is either LBG (good for invisibility but not much else) or Line (assuming the level creator didn't take the blending away for whatever reason).
For #1, I could see how the daily level and actual daily level have different percentages and you can gain stars from both. It would make sense if gauntlets did something similar too.
I think the icon editor is called "the garage" because icons are also known as vehicles, so it would make sense to work on vehicle customizations in the garage.

To be honest that was really interesting. GD has been a big part of my life and you’ve been the first UA-camr I actually enjoyed watching, and that really pushed that to the maximum level. if an online level were to be rated and have the same ID as one of the main levels the rewards for completing them would be broken and the online level would show up as being na and with the stars having already been gained
found that out when we were setting up helix gdps, we had to move a bunch of levels around cause of that LOL

hey guys, I am mod on Helix 1.8, and was there when it was being developed and released. I remember discovering that glitch first-hand... was really sad to realize I couldn't get stars from Electrodynamix anymore lol :)

More useless things:
Before Update 1.4, the ship was only one color.
When you unlock a color before 2.0, the color graphic on the achievement unlocked notification window was a square instead of a circle.
Also before the same update, the achievement unlocked notification window effect was different.
You can expand a gamemode's boundaries by spamming the same portal over and over.
The Options menu is different depending on the version you are playing. If you are on mobile, a "Record Replays" option is shown, but in the Steam version, it is replaced with a graphics option.
Speaking of replays, you can't see your replays since Everyplay, the recorder, is discontinued, but if you disable Wi-Fi, it will be shown.
Before Update 1.9, Electroman Adventures was a Harder level instead of an Insane level.
The Music and Sound Options were changed in a few updates.
In 1.0 and 1.1, they were Music note and Speaker buttons that toggle the audio on or off.
From 1.2 to 1.9, they were check boxes that said "Music" and "SFX".
In 2.0 and beyond, the check boxes were replaced with sliders. The original music and sound buttons in the 1.0 update however, are still in the game's files.
The BPM button however, IS USED, but until update 1.8 which was replaced by the play test option.

A note on the blast processing lyrics anyone following Waterflame (the artist) will know he quite often includes old sounding audio. The same can be said for Atom sampler (in the Vast album) which he uses old sounding seemingly educational video while during Dance Off (also in vast) briefly includes the phrase "and now on today's program". I don't know where the original audio for these come from but thought it was interesting anyway.
When I first saw this video, I initially didn't know the unregistered player text color was blue, or how orbs work, the fact that the spiders in the menu are the same as the one you currently use, or any of that, so it's not fully useless...
The "BPM" button was actually used in older versions of the game. It allowed you to Enable/Disable the main song BPM lines in the editor

Extra fact: if you set a custom color to white, black, or, if I recall correctly, other grayscale colors, the hue wheel will sometimes be set to something that it wasn’t normally set to. For example, setting a custom color to white, the hue wheel will automatically change to red. If the hue wheel is very far from pure red, it might automatically change to something like cyan.

14:27 back in the earlier versions of the game, before newgrounds songs where introduced in GD, the BPM button would be used for well... the BPM of each main songs while still being different from the song's lines (not too sure if that's the right name though lol) as those are based on the sync and sound of the song and not the BPM itself
This can be used, for example, for pulsating background colors of a level (or even the lines if you feel like it) since it would be pretty much useless to sync them to sync of the music and not the BPM

*note: the BPM was set automatically for every song and you didn't (and also couldn't) do any input for the BPM of a song

suprised you didnt mention that the slopes from 2.0 were replaced in 2.1, to have rounded corners. you can still use the old slopes but you'll have to copy them from a pre 2.1 level as they are not in the editor (aside from the long slope, which can be found among the 2.1 block design for some reason)

I feel like there should be custom cubes you can draw and make and share in game, for people to buy with their mana orbs, and you get someone’s mana orbs when they buy the cube from the exchange. This can lead to very intresting things, like featured cubes and shop mods.

You can open an level on GD full, save data, open GD World, and load data, so technically you can play any level you want if it’s in the featured or saved section if you have the full version.
