Some tips, taunting can give you bonus points during its pizza time, if you have a few seconds to spare you can taunt to gain some points back, also, if a enemy tries to hit you or shoot a projectile at you, you can parry it with the taunt if you time it right, and also there’s a cheese monster that’s green named snotty in the 3rd hub world, he doesn’t hurt you, (don’t kill him), that’s useful later, all I have to share at the moment.
If you're confused on the story, the intro shows that a random pizza face threatens to destroy your pizzeria, the pizza has a laser on top of his tower and you have to climb the tower to destroy the laser. The goofiness of the story hides the really dark lore, you'll find it out around the end of the game.

Peppino and Pizzahead met in the in-universe prequel called "Pizza Boy Tower" where Peppino was the villain like Wario. The entire adventure of Peppino through the pizza tower is televised as shown by Noise TV and the television/camera imagery throughout the game. Pizzahead is torturing Peppino for fun, and you can see his own failed business in the final floor of the game in the level "Don't make a sound."
Pro Tip: Those empty rooms you kept getting confused about are lap 2 of the escape and the portals for it only appear after at least 1 playthrough of a level

Something that you should probably know, evey single level with have these small areas that look like secrets at the begginings of the level. They'll have nothing in them because it's your first time playing the level. Once you beat it and go back in, there will be a "Lap 2" portal, which will allow you do the escape sequence again at the end. (Which is nessesary for P rank, and S rank in a lot of cases)
This is the first time I have even heard of this game and I thoroughly enjoyed watching Mike play it! There are some Sonic and Mario components of the game for sure. Definitely play more of this game!
Some pro tips if you want a higher score in a level. Mach Run isn't that necessary, unless you want to rush through all the enemies. For example, those pitch forks dudes will pull their forks up if they're scared, in order for them to get scared, you must approach them in Mach Speed. Once you are in Mach speed, running through elevated surfaces is easier since you wall run over them quite easily. But, its up to you if you want a more of a slower pace of gameplay. This tip can help you during pizza time or lap 2 if you wanna try that out
I think this is the first “first episode” of Pizza Tower I’ve seen where they don’t comment on the “It’s Pizza Time!” track. This game has a better soundtrack than most triple-A titles. Give it a listen at some point if you have the time.

There's P Ranks but not in the way you'll think, to get a P Rank you need to: For levels: - Mantain a Combo from the beginning to the end - Get all secrets and ingredients - Complete a lap 2 For bosses - git gud donut get heet Seems easy enough but it's really hard.
Pro Tip: Before you use that Boss Key to open the door to the second floor, be sure to do all the levels on floor 1 first. (The sign next to the door shows you all the levels in the first floor). I assure you that all the levels in this game are worth playing.
TIP: you can parry enemies by using the taunt button! TIP 2:if you get a high combo you can hold up and taunt to do the super taunt, it will kill all enemies on screen
Suggestion: once you’ve finished the main game, you should try p rank every level and/or 100% the game. They’re easily the most fun part of the game imo but they’re pretty hard

BOSSES - To get an S rank, you have to finish the boss with full health. So you can get hit, then collect an extra life and still get the S. - To get a P rank, you have to finish the boss without getting hit once. That’s all I have for now, hope this helps! :)

Tips incase we get a part 2 and a series The pose thing is a parry using it right before something hits you will kill most enemies and make bosses do like no damage its a good idea to get the hang of it for future bosses The treasure you get from the janitor guy (gerome) is a way to increase score/rank (you need it to get a s-rank but s-ranks can only be done when replaying a stage) and gives you a neat badge at the end of the game if you get them all You also don't have to grab every enemy to kill them most of the time you can just kill them during a mach rush I love this game i really hope we get a full series

Okay so editing my comment because while I don't like this art style... this game seems cool. Like there's a lot of secrets. IDK I'm an artist myself and perhaps I should appreciate other art styles. It's very fast paced which I'm kinda mixed on. I like exploring at my own pace. TBH I just want Mike to blind play this. I think I'll only watch him or Jay play this game because... they're safe content creators for me haha. He opened a small pizzeria in the heart of the city and started experimenting with different recipes and ingredients. One day, while browsing the local farmers' market, he stumbled upon a strange and enigmatic figure named Peppino, the owner of the famous Pizza Tower.
Peppino was known throughout the city for his legendary pizzeria, which was said to contain secret levels and hidden bosses that only the most skilled pizza chefs could conquer. Intrigued by this challenge, Balthazar struck up a conversation with Peppino and learned that he was looking for a worthy competitor to take on his tower.
Balthazar was thrilled at the opportunity and immediately set to work practicing his pizza-making skills. He spent countless hours perfecting his dough, sauce, and toppings, determined to make the best pizza possible.
When the day finally arrived to take on the Pizza Tower, Balthazar was nervous but excited. He and Peppino strapped on their chef's hats and aprons and began their climb up the tower, facing challenges and obstacles at every turn.
The first few levels were relatively easy, but as they climbed higher, the challenges grew more difficult. They had to cook pizzas on conveyor belts while dodging flying pepperoni, navigate mazes of cheese and vegetables, and even face off against monstrous pizza-themed bosses.
Balthazar was determined not to give up, however. With every level he conquered, he felt his confidence growing and his pizza-making skills improving. He experimented with new techniques and flavors, pushing himself to the limit.
Finally, after what seemed like an endless climb, Balthazar and Peppino reached the top of the tower. They were faced with the final challenge: a massive pizza boss, made up of all the ingredients they had encountered on their climb.
Undaunted, Balthazar and Peppino combined their skills and worked together to defeat the boss. They emerged victorious, exhausted but triumphant, and were rewarded with the ultimate prize: the title of Master Pizza Chef.
With his newfound skills and confidence, Balthazar returned to his pizzeria and began making pizzas that were even more delicious than before. His business flourished, and he became known throughout the city as a master of his craft.
And though he never forgot the challenges he faced on the Pizza Tower, he was grateful for the lessons he had learned and the friendships he had made along the way. He knew that he could conquer anything with his passion and determination, as long as he had a good pizza by his side.
Okay so editing my comment because while I don't like this art style... this game seems cool. Like there's a lot of secrets. IDK I'm an artist myself and perhaps I should appreciate other art styles. It's very fast paced which I'm kinda mixed on. I like exploring at my own pace. TBH I just want Mike to blind play this. I think I'll only watch him or Jay play this game because... they're safe content creators for me haha. Like they're literally being comfort content creators just by being their authentic selves and not scrunching up their morals.

He chases it and runs into Gustavo (The Mario guy) And Mr.Stick (the one with the orange tux.) and he is in the tower to defeat the pizza face and save his restaurant.
