I started observing sabbath when the Lord brought me to Luke 23:55-56. My spirit was touched by the actions of these women who traveled from Galilee witnessed the crucifixion of their Lord and savior, saw the tomb he was laid in and went home to prepare spices and perfumes for their saviors burial. Yet could not go to the tomb because the Sabbath had begun. In their own grief they set aside their own will to tend to the body of Jesus in order to observe this sabbath command. I was awe struck by these actions, knowing that I myself not observing this sabbath couldn't fathom not preparing the body for burial. That is when i realized how important the Sabbath was in the Hebrew community. I've relied on the Holy Spirit alone to show me how to honor our Fathers Sabbath. Exodus 35:3 lead me to begin meal prep of all my sabbath meals Friday before nightfall. I use the sabbath day to rest, study scripture and worship. It wasn't long before i started looking forward to it throughout my week. It has become a joy and delightful day i treasure. Better and more rejuvenating than any holiday or vacation i had experienced in my past.

I am a Sabbath keeper and have written about the change from Sabbath to Sunday by the church. For me, the determining factor was Revelation 14:12. 'Here is the patience of the saints, those that have the faith of Christ and the Commandments of God. That started my journey to find the Jewish roots of my faith in Yeshua.'

Gentile believers are not required to follow the Law of Moses. so honor the Sabbath if you wish, but don't let someone tell you your not saved if you don't. The Sabbath was given SPECIFICALLY to the Jews....
Exo 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
Exo 31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: not the Gentiles.
Rom 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Rom 14:6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

Because your soul and spirit , YHVH is awakening to the False gospel, that is of a rebellion demoniac LIE of the SUNday church Cult system, and its blind deceived followers.
That is one reason the false gospel SUNday inculcation persuasion will NVER set right because it is a false and heretical logic.
Were are told to ready ourselves as obedient to what is written.
ANY thing that tells you to contradict clear teachings, to OBEY, and prepare as a Bride (Rev 19:7-8) is of a demonic spirit.

With all due respect, sabbath WAS NOT established for Jews only. It was established in creation. Another thing I would like to add is, that the children of Israel was a mixed multitude of people, Called that by the Father himself sons of Israel once again AFTER the covenant at Sinaí .

    • @ricoyochanan
      @ricoyochanan Рік тому

@@Fredmansfish True, the first sabbath was at the creation week, but the command to observe it didn't occur until the giving of the Law of Moses, and was specifically given to the Jews,
Exo 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
Exo 31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. True, sojourners and strangers in the land were required to observe it, but that was under the Theocracy of Israel. There is no Theocracy now, Hos 3:4
Gentile believers in Jesus can observe it if they desire, but are not required, Rom 14:5,6

I forgot a lot of the bible because the enemy attacked my memory but I don't ever remember reading anything myself about Sunday being the Sabbath. I thought it was Sunday because I didn't know Sunday was the last day of the week but me studying the word learned Hebrew was the first language then I found out Sat. was the last day. For God to have dealt with me all these years, it's TRUTH. SO NOW I HAVE BEEN doing so on Saturdays for about a month now..This very interesting

So far in the beginning of this message I'm feeling you.. I'm for what God is for and God has been dealing with me about the Sabbath and when God really just put in me the bible was first written in Hebrew and we are to keep the Sabbaths.. I landed here to see how Jews celebrate the Sabbath. I'm an adopted Jew being I became one when I received Jesus. I learned God from the Holy Spirit so I believe the word if God to be just that from Genesis to Revelations. Let's see where you go with this. So far I'm still here

Everyone wants a piece of Jesus but never pay attention and READ WHAT HE SAYS. They have adopted the Bible to fit their agenda. Oh yes, narrow is the way. I have made my choice and will not inherit falls teachings. I’ll be the one face to face with Jesus not anyone else. Blessings always. Thank you for your valuable TRUE teaching. God Created us in His own Image. Then we are to observe all what He commanded us to do. He is the only Authority we follow, not our own or men. The more we apply the wird if Yah in our life, the more understanding and wisdom He will give to us to be perfect and holy.

    • @HerbertPrince
      @HerbertPrince 2 місяці тому

God created Adam and Eve in His image and likeness. When we are born into the world, we are not born in the image of God. When Adam and Eve were in the garden of Eden, they walked with God. But when they both ate of the fruit that God said not to eat, they had to leave the garden, because sin can not be in the presence of God.
When Adam bore a son whose name was Seth, from Seth to where we are today, we all have been born in the image and likeness of Adam.
This is why we must be 'born again', so we will again be born in the image and likeness of God.
Go look in Genesis chapter 5 and read it for yourself. Hope you have a wonderful day. Blessings and Shalom 🖖

I have recently begun to "Keep the Shabbat" . And it has become a true blessing to me and my family.
However I do believe that G-D also takes pleasure in us worshipping Him on Sunday, and on Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Don't you Brother Monte ? See to me the real issue is "Keeping the Shabbat" . But we should worship Adonai EVERY DAY of the week.

    • @cherylburnett2014

Yes. We worship God every day of the week but the Sabbath is set apart, holy. God sanctified it. That’s the only day He sanctified. The commandment in Lev 23 tells us to have a holy convocation on the Sabbath. That is worshipping as a community/assembly. He gave that commandments after the building of the tabernacle.

    Amen. Absolute truth!!
Sunday sabbath is a manmade religion and is unbiblical. It will be the mark of the beast in the near future.
    God bless this ministry.

Thank you so much for this eye opening teaching. My job is to take care of a special needs person who lives with me in my house and most of the outside activities the person is interested in are mostly on the shabboth sadly to say. But when you were taking about the public services like Rabbis, police, fiere fighters, doctors and nurses etc. are exempt from keeping the Sabbath, it made it easier to plan some of the activities my special needs person likes. I also make sure that we have a snack and drink with us,still thinking that I don't want to make no one else work.

I did a big study on the sabbath about a year ago and knew all this. Since I am Jewish I do Friday night sabbath and I go to synagogue and church. Fortunately I have gone to a Presbyterian Church which teaches most of what you say but I would say every one of my christian friends will not change to Friday night sabbath. sigh. Can't wait til what you say about Pork! I don't see where God ever changed the 'this is food, and this is not food' command.

There are two aspects to this topic:
    1) One is the day. Sabbath is the 7th day... Never the first day...
    2) Often overlooked is the fact that Sabbath is NOT commanded to be either a day of communal gathering or group worship! Look:
    Exodus 20 8-11
"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."
It's to be a day of REST & REMEMBERING. I am Jewish. I stay home and Rest!

      1. Exodus 20:6 - 6but showing loving devotion to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commandments.
      2. Can you tell me if have a different version of the Scriptures that has different wording for Leviticus 23:1 and 2 ?
Leviticus 23:1 and 2 - 1Then the LORD said to Moses, 2“Speak to the Israelites and say to them, ‘These are My appointed feasts, the feasts of the LORD that you are to proclaim as SACRED ASSEMBLIES. 3For six days work may be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of complete rest, a day of SACRED ASSEMBLY. You must not do any work; wherever you live, it is a Sabbath to the LORD.
Can you tell me what a SACRED ASSEMBLY is?
How do I assemble if it is just me at home by myself?
      This troubles me because:
I have no Assembly around me that is less that 4 hours away...
The Synagogue that is near me is "Alphabet Friendly"...

      Good question.
My Jewish Mother taught me that gathering at home with family fulfilled this.
However, if you are 'alone' (as am I in the diaspora) assemble (or meet God) as best you can. 🙏

      BEFORE the 10 commandments:
Exodus 16:29 KJV - See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
Orthodox Jews recognize the headship principal of the father of a family leading his wife, children and those of his household (tent) on the Sabbath. There is NO requirement to leave one's house!
Even Leviticus 23 2-3 says, "... in all of your dwelling places."
Clearly not just one place (later a synagogue).
      Read scripture carefully... 🙏

      Pay attention!
Of course you may congregate outside of your house... OR, within your house with your family.
Sabbath means rest and separate yourself from your common labor.
      Sabbath is NOT Sunday!

      I completely agree 💯
Not so much a "big deal" but rather a reflection of an overall pattern of YHVH... "The Father, Son & Holy Spirit" , the main feasts (months 1, 3 & 7), husband, wife & children... Many patterns of 3's... So, there are also 3 houses:
      1) Our body (temple of the Holy Spirit)
      2) Family (household)
      3) The assembly, ecclesia, literally "church."
Salvation is primary in the individual. Each adult is responsible for their choices.
The 2nd house has spiritual authority not to be exceeded by the general congregation.
The 'body' or congregation is where we grow up in Christ.
This is God's order which establishes His Ordinances.
      Nice chatting... 🙏

    I explain it like this:
The lord takes Shabbat off to listen to us. Think back when you called your parents when they were working they only half heard what you said and mostly forgot your words. Well, jhwh works 6 days a week he is too busy to respond quickly to your prayers. Yet he waits always Saturday to listen to you, yet your off playing around. Would a actor come to your house or the president? How much more is God?

Mr. Armstrong's teachings are what caused me to start looking at MANY topics, including Sabbath. The only problem I had with the CoG was they teach as doctrine NOT to vote. They teach ONLY heavenly citizenship, even though Paul recognized, and even benefitted from, his Roman citizenship.

Christians were worshipping on Sunday long before Constantine. There are three places in scripture that show worship, even corporate worship, on Sunday, the Lord's Day. Justin Martyr mentions it, as well. More sources can likely be found, but those are just a few, three biblical sources and one that I found just by a quick search, knowing the sources are available.

My biggest issue with the Shabbat is that if it is so important, shouldn’t we know exactly when it is? Whose calendar should we be following? Abib 10th should not land on Shabbat. The Israelites marched seven days around Jericho. Which day was Shabbat? Why are the Biblical feast days determined by a different calendar than the “Sabbath “? The answers are in the Word and history, but are many asking these questions and finding the answers? Hillel II

Actually, the penalty of defiling the Sabbath was physical death. I expect it was eternal death too. I share your praise and relief in our blessed Messiah who rescues us from the condemnation of breaking Torah. I'm sure He is aware how confused we are as believers by Church history and doctrine.
