Hallelujah! Being surrendered to Jesus Christ and abiding in him has given me rest and peace which passes understanding ❤
If I were not resting in Jesus Christ right now, in this crumbling world, I would be in distress and depressed.

no I didn’t leave the Bible remember in Bible prophecy a day for a year principle which can be found in Numbers 14:34 and Ezekiel 4:4-6 this can be seen. If we used literal days then the Bible would be inconsistent with scripture because and the timing would be off. Remember Daniel’s vision didn’t begin until the decree was issued by King Artaxerxes and that’s in Ezra 7 didn’t give that decree until 457 B.C and that began the 2300 days prophecy that ran until 1844 as the was no year 0 BC. Now based off the understanding of beast and kingdoms each beast has a time that it rules( date not given in the Bible but history shows it
      The Lion-Babylon
      Bear- medio-persia
      Leopard-Greece
      Rome- the dragon beast
      1. Time(1) times (2)and dividing of time is (.5)is 3.5 years 3.5 X 360= 1260 days
      2. 12 months in a year 42months divided by 12months is equivalent to 3.5 years.
      3. There are 30 days inna month 42x30 is 1260 days. Which is showing that it’s the same prophecy being spoken of.
      4. The 42 months came to an end when the deadly wound was inflicted which was in 1798. The papal power was formed in AD538 + 1260 years= 1798 when Pope Pius was taken prisoner in France during the French Revolution. The wound is currently healing as the power the papacy once had not yet fully returned as it is healing, when it has fully healed the whole world will marvel after the beast. There’s evidence in the history of the early churches the Waldenses, John Wycliffe Jan Husk, the Ana baptist among 50-100 million other Christians who were killed during that period when the saints were given into its hands and were killed. The Roman church seeked to change Gods times and laws by trying to change Gods seventh day sabbath and instituting Sunday and boasting about it in in the encyclical letter that the church has authority to change the day ( they boast that it is by their ecclesiastical authority and not authority by the Bible that they changed the day ) as well as removing one of the commandments and splitting the 10th in half. Not only that Revelation 13:18 stated ”Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.“
Now the definition of “Anti” doesn’t only mean against but also in place of, instead of or compared with. On the Pope’s Crown there’s marked Vicarius Filli Dei which means Vicar of Christ (Antichrist) since it’s of Roman origin let’s calculate the Number of the beast vicarius filli dei adds up to 666 as clued in by the above Bible text . Not only that the system teaches that the Pope and priest have authority to forgive sins as well as blaspheming themself as God comparing themself to the authority of Christ.
Y’all can read about the book about the Roman church crimes in the book Charles Chiniquy 50 years in the Church of Rome as well as look on the stance of the early reformers on why they left it and why they left the new world to inhabit the new world to flee persecution.
Martin Luther also stated that the beast was the Roman Catholic Church.
Btw I have this as a note that I typed up so y’all can delete this message again and again if you like I’ll just keep on reposting to outst you guys deception.

The 6th day ended and the 7th Day began.
Everyone reincarnates at will now famo.
We are no longer subjected to the Law of Sin/Death/or Moses.
Sins are covered for generation after generation forever.
The Temple is the Human Body.
While one lives, Jesus covers sins.
When one dies, whatever we did in the flesh is cleansed.
Jesus is a Spirit only way back to the Human Soul (Temple)
If we rely on any temple outside of ourselves (Jesus especially) we’d be stuck outside.
And if we rely on Moses for salvation, after reading the Gospel of Judas, we’ll reincarnate as animals.
Because a person who lacks humanity deems it necessary for Jesus to die every Saturday and Holy Day

@umabrijmohun6720 The Sabbat commandment said to work 6 days and rest the seventh. If Jesus is your Sabbath (if you say Sabbath rest, that is pleonasm), when are you working then? In the commandment there is a distinction between the physical work and rest, how do you apply that to the spiritual aspect as well? Does that mean that you will work your salvation 6 days and on the seventh you let Jesus work? And then remain the question, how do you explain instituting the Sabbath during the creation week when there was no sin? How is then the Sabbath a symbol of the rest in Jesus?

@@salpezzino7803 There is nothing wrong with that commandment -- not as long as you don't try to make it a test of salvation. Or something other than a shadow pointing to Jesus Christ, in whom is found "the reality" (Colossians 2:17). And Christians are allowed to keep the Saturday holy, just as they are allowed to keep Sunday holy, or to consider all days alike as holy (Romans 14).

Paul was a convert that was raised under the Jewish law, which is the Law of Moses. That consists of the Ten Commandments as well as other performances. He was preaching to those that were also converts. How ever they were all followers of Jesus Christ and Paul was preaching Jesus Christ. As such the law would be the one given by Jesus Christ which was a higher law than the Law of Moses. Because it is a higher law and not a replacement law then the lesser law is still applicable. Whereas it was their custom to do circumcisions but not a law under Jesus’ teachings that was one where they were continuing it as a matter of tradition though it wasn’t required. Paul appears to have been incorporating both laws, the Old and New Covenants.
Remember that the New Covenant laws and commandments are contained in the Sermon on the Mount.

It's taken a long time, but now the veil has been lifted and I have entered that rest that can only come from believing God's grace...the UNMERITED beautiful glorious gospel...I live every day in humble thanksgiving for what He has done for me...There is no power in law keeping...The true power is by faith in the one who started the good work in us and is faithful to finish the work...We are like clay in the potters hand..allowing His Holy Spirit to guide and lead us as we sojourn through this physical life into everlasting life through the promise that he gives us.

which celebrated and kept all GOD'S, YES GOD'S holy days and sabbaths.. how can you bypass our LORDS days but happily celebrate man's traditions and holidays which is mentioned several times not to partake in??...

We only enter into this Covenant by faith on His Blood. We don't add to our forgiveness by some works of our own obedience . (Romans 4:5). Your salvation is a gift. The work of God is to believe. Keeping or observing the weekly 7th day Sabbath really shouldn’t be controversial at all. Here’s why ... It is this very special day that our Creator rested on, blessed, hallowed and sanctified (Gen. 2:2,3; Exo. 20:11) at the creation of our world and asks us to keep holy and celebrate every week as a memorial of His awesome creative power. This day that God calls “My holy day” and that we His people should call a delight and honorable (Isa. 58:13) clearly means a lot to God so it should mean a lot to us. He enshrined it in the very heart of His great 10 commandment moral law which is the only part of the Bible that God directly wrote with His finger on tables of stone signifying its permanence (Exodus 31:18). The weekly 7th day Sabbath was so holy and precious to Jesus that He not only taught the people what was and wasn’t lawful to do on this day (Matt. 12:12) but He encouraged His followers to pray for decades after His death and resurrection that when they needed to flee from tribulation they wouldn’t have to do so on the holy Sabbath (Matt. 24:20). And then again Jesus' grief stricken disciples after His crucifixion knowing His sacred regard for the Sabbath which they shared postponed the embalming of His body until after the Sabbath. As Luke reports on it many years later in Luke 23:56 "Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant oils. And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment." This confirms that the Sabbath is indeed 1 of God's commandments in His "holy, just and good" law (Romans 7:12). This blessed day is so special to God that He promises when He recreates a spectacular brand new world for the redeemed of all nations, “all flesh” will come together every Sabbath to worship and praise Him (Isa 66:23). So let’s in loving obedience to Jesus our God and Creator enjoy and celebrate Him by receiving the special blessing He offers everyone who keeps His holy day (Isa. 58:14). The weekly 7th day Sabbath is a wonderful gift to all of us because it's special, set apart relationship time with our Creator and Redeemer which is why Jesus said "The Sabbath was made (created) for mankind" (Mark 2:27). And if you have any doubt that Jesus wants His saved by grace people to obey His commandments including the 4th commandment 7th day Sabbath out of love for Him and because they are saved you only need to read the following verses: John 14:15 - If you love Me keep My commandments. Ecclesiastes 12:13 - Fear God and keep His commandments for this is the whole duty of man. 1 Corinthians 7:19 - Keeping the commandments of God is what matters. Matthew 5:19 - Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven. 1 John 5:3 - For this is the love of God that we keep His commandments and His commandments are not burdensome. Revelation 14:12 - Here is the patience of the saints who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Revelation 12:17 - And the dragon was enraged with the woman and went to make war with the rest of her offspring who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Revelation 22:14 - Blessed are those who do His commandments that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter through the gates into the city. May God bless you all as you open your heart to His leading on this important test of our willingness to obey Him in all things.

Let me demonstrate for you on a real practical, relational level how nonsensical your argument is here.
There is a particular day that is set apart, out of all the other 364 days of the year. It's not treated as a common day, but has been sanctified because on it my wife and I began our covenantal marriage together. Thus, that day is now every year a memorial celebration and remembrance of the day we made vows. It's a holy convocation.
Imagine now, that my wife decides that this repetitive observance and focus on a day is no longer important because she reasons that she already thinks about me throughout the year. Or imagine that I did the same. That would be to take what is sanctified, and treat it as profane or common. How dishonoring to the other would that be? The whole point of keeping that day as sanctified is so that you CAN revisit and commune together around that sanctifying event. AND the whole point of keeping that day as sanctified is because it's a rehearsal that keeps you connected to and prepared for the future consummation of the marriage super of the Lamb (the feast of Sukkot reherses this as well).
If something points to something else to come, then you continue to observe and rehearse it so that when the thing it points to comes, you will recognize it and be ready for it. THAT'S what the Sabbath is, and that's why we are commanded to keep it holy. Ironically, your argument teaches people to neglect the prophetic rehearsal and disqualify themselves from the good things to come (which Paul in Colossians 2 told us specifically NOT to do).
There is no life in your man-made tradition of disregarding YHWH's Sabbath. As our Master taught "if you want to enter eternal life, keep the commandments".

But it is the power of God for those of us who are being saved.” People like you love to use the 4th commandment like a club to hammer over the heads of others, but never ever mention nor have that same energy for John 13:34: A new commandment I give unto you, That you love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another. And Romans 13:8-10: Don’t be in debt to anyone, except for the obligation to love each other. Whoever loves another person has fulfilled the Law. The commandments, “Don’t commit adultery, don’t murder, don’t steal, don’t desire what others have,” and any other commandments, are all summed up in one word: “You must love your neighbor as yourself.” Love doesn’t do anything wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is what fulfills the Law.

My convictions are also supported by 2nd Corinthians 5:17-21, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

Wow theres alot of so call Christians that dont know the difference between Gods law and Moses law
Gods law was written by the finger of God and placed inside the ArkExodus 40:20 (KJV) And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:
the testimony is the ten commandments that was written by the finger Of God Exodus 31:18 (KJV) And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
Law of Moses Deuteronomy 31:24-26 (KJV) And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying,
Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee. Thats the difference whenever law is mentioned you must know the difference you cant mix them up for eg. Matthew 5:17-18 (KJV) Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Jesus is refering to Gods law. Colossians 2:16 (KJV) Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: the teacher quoted this one these are not in the ten commandments but in Moses law about feasts, these we dont have to keep they were of things to come which pointed at Jesus Numbers 29:39 (KJV) These things ye shall do unto the LORD in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.1 Chronicles 23:31 (KJV) And to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the LORD in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually before the LORD: these were the ones that Paul was referring to that in Moses book of the law Happy studying and the prof speaking and missed this im very sad for every thats being by it

The message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith. Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, 'So I declared on oath in my anger, "They shall never enter my rest." '
"And yet his work has been finished since the creation of the world. For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: 'And on the seventh day God rested from all his work.' And again in the passage above he says, 'They shall never enter my rest.'
"It still remains that some will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience. Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before: 'Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.'
"For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience."
This passage in Hebrews makes it clear that Sabbath is bigger than time. God has declared another Day for us to enter Sabbath rest. We enter it whenever we accept the finished work of Christ. As the above passage points out, those who heard the gospel but did not accept it with faith "shall never enter my rest." But God, the author continues, has been finished with his work since the creation of the world. "And on the seventh day God rested from all his work." That is Hebrews 4:4 quoting Genesis 2:2.
It's interesting to notice that the statement above is a declaration of fact. It is not a command to anyone.
Now, since Jesus has mended the sin-generated tear in the universe that separated us from God, we can again be one with Him through the indwelling Holy Spirit. Now we can enter the Sabbath-rest of Christ's finished work. We enter the eternal Sabbath rest which God entered at the creation of the world. We no longer have to live like strangers. We are God's, and He is intimate with us. We no longer need a time-bound reminder to honor God and our redeemer. A time-bound holy day is antithetical to an eternal, real, living oneness with God.
Accepting Christ puts our souls in touch with eternity. It's not just a metaphor or a symbol; the indwelling Holy Spirit gives us eternal life now. We are living in rest, worship, and intimacy with Him now and we will forever!

A good Berean will listen to this video and then go back to the scriptures to find out if what is being taught is true. Genesis 2:1-3 shows us that not only did God rest (Shabbat) on the 7th day. He did 2 other things. I'm not sure why the professor didn’t mention them but Genesis 2 :3 tells us God blessed the 7th day and sanctified (set apart) the 7th day. This happened before the entrance of sin.

    • @JonDorsett
      @JonDorsett 6 місяців тому +2

If God blessed and set apart the 7th day before sin, Adam and Eve, in their perfection, treated the day as though it were blessed above the other six days. They stopped their dressing and keeping of the garden on the 7th day and following the example of their Creator, they also rested from physical labor (before sin entered).

    • @JonDorsett
      @JonDorsett 6 місяців тому +2

The purpose for the 7th day is given several times in scripture. It is a celebration of our Creator. It is a defense against the false theory of evolution and it is a weekly reminder of our origin - that we were created by a loving God. It was not first commanded to be kept in Exodus. It was made holy from before the entrance of sin and God told His people to "keep it" holy by treating it differently than the other 6 days. (Exo 20:8-11).

2 Peter 3:15-16 warns us not to wrest or "twist" the writings of Paul because, Peter said, some of what he wrote is hard to understand. Colossians 2:16 is a perfect example. Nowhere does Paul indicate that he meant the weekly Sabbath. There were certain feast days that were also called sabbaths". These, unlike the weekly Sabbath, happened once a year (see Lev 16:30-31 for example). The annual sabbaths are the shadows Paul speaks of in Col 2:16 and not the weekly Sabbath.

That's incorrect ..Colossians 2 and Romans 14 are not adequate proofs to prove the abrogation of the 4th Commandment. The sabbaths spoken of in Colossian 2 are part of the ceremonial law and not the moral law. The Jewish ceremonial calendar had many New Moon and sabbaths other than the weekly Sabbath.
By using this phrase in Colossians 2, Paul is clearly referring to the ceremonial Sabbaths and not the Sabbath that is commanded in the Decalogue. Hosea 2:11, clearly referring to the ceremonial aspects of the Old Covenant, contains this same three-part formulation of “feast days, new moons…sabbaths” that is also found in Colossian 2:16.
This three-part phrase refers to the special feast and Sabbath days in the Jewish calendar. It is not referring to the weekly Sabbath. Likewise, I Chron. 23:31; 2 Chron 2:4; 8:13; 31:3; Nehemiah 10:33, and Isaiah 1:13-14 all contain this common phrase, again clearly referring to ceremonial law and not the weekly Sabbath...GOD bless🙏

Have you read Dr Steve Daily's Elena White psychobiography book? Trust me you will be out this organization unless you have a personal -financial interest with them. You use the supposed biblical verses to prove the existence of a Sabbath that rotates on its own axis 24 hours, without understanding the essence of what the Sabbath means in the new creation, you are stuck in a doctrine, exactly as the Jews argued with the law without understanding the essence of it. This is the one million question. If the Sabbath of a 24-hour rotation on its own axis is the entire culmination of the eternal gospel, how come it is not said in the Bible. If you hold on, look for the verses to hypothesize the Sabbath? Can you do the same to demonstrate the mark of the beast is the Sunday in the Bible? Why doesn't the final verdict of Matthew 25: 34-40 say "that as many as you did not keep my Sabbath and did not pay my tithes, will you go to eternal fire"? Is this what it says? Before going to Romans chapter 14 you have to get rid of all the theories, assumptions and the vast science fiction of Ellen White, if you are able..., can you understand what Paul is saying?
Did you know a prophet in the Bible with 2000 visions? This prophetess who walked through heaven vacationing with Jesus and angels, didn't John the apostle almost die just from seeing Jesus in a revelation? Do you think there are giants on Saturn and Jupiter claims to have seen this? Have you read the foolish statements and shrinks of the "Little Flock and the Closed Door"? Only a person with a deranged mind can speak such nonsense and nonsense. Do you think that Pharisaic Judaism was not going to return to the Christian world at the very end of the world today? Here is!!! the SDA fallacies doctrines are exactly the same Pharisaic theology in the times of Jesus and the apostles in the early Church.
If you are still hearing what is said on this platforms, it is because you are curious and I have no doubt that you have some internal struggles with Adventist theories. Believe me, it took me a long time to accept that Adventism is absolutely a bondage and cult, I was a SDA apologist ten thousands more than you now, I was about to use a pistol to defend the SDA dogmas. Today, I have more peace and more Bible reading and I feel God's forgiveness that leads me to be closer to Him and an obedience that is in essence love for my neighbor and a God simple and humble servant. Again, according to Romans 14 if you prefer and understand that you should keep the Sabbath go for it, but understand that does not make you holier, it is not required for every christian to do so, it can be any day. As a matter of fact I use (no keep) mostly Sabbaths to pray, read the scripture and listen Pastor Randy to preach from Loma Linda University, but this does not make me absolutely holier. Some commentators called us false teachers because we tell the world to go back to the Holy Bible and Christ for our salvation? It is bizarre!!!!

      @@TheBiblicalRoots With respects Brother in Christ , that's not the hermeneutical context fr that verse..ie;
Colossians 2 and Romans 14 are not adequate proofs to prove the abrogation of the 4th Commandment. The sabbaths spoken of in Colossian 2 are part of the ceremonial law and not the moral law.
The Jewish ceremonial calendar had many New Moon and sabbaths other than the weekly Sabbath. Colossian 2 speaks of these special ceremonial “holy days” - not the weekly Sabbath, which is part of the Decalogue (God’s summary of his moral law).
This is vital! The phrase used in Colossians 2:16, “feast days…new moons…sabbaths,” is a technical phrase. It is a specific phrase relating to the ceremonial laws of the Old Covenant. It is specifically used in the OT, to designate specific ceremonial events - and is nowhere used in reference to the weekly Sabbath.
23:31; 2 Chron 2:4; 8:13; 31:3; Nehemiah 10:33, and Isaiah 1:13-14 all contain this common phrase, again clearly referring to ceremonial law and not the weekly Sabbath...GOD bless 🙏

"woe to the pregnant mothers and those nursing a baby in those days! Adam [N] [E] [H] [S]
"Adam" is both the proper name of the first human and a designation for humankind. God himself gave this appellation to Adam and Eve ( Gen 5:1-2 ). The color red lies behind the Hebrew root adam [; 'a]. This may reflect the red soil from which he was made.
Adam was formed from the ground ( Gen 2:7 ). Word play between "Adam" and "ground" (adama [h'm'd}a]) is unmistakable. It is important that Adam is identified with humankind rather than any particular nationality. The country from which the dust was taken is not specified. Rabbis believed it came from all over the earth so no one could say, "My father is greater than yours."
The word "formed" suggests the careful work of a potter making an exquisite art-piece. Into this earthen vessel God breathed the breath of life ( Gen 2:7 ). These words describe vivid intimacy between God and man not shared by animals.

Judaism uses a lunisolar calendar with a complicated system of leap months & other calculations. This is the year 5784 & has 383 days, making it a deficient year. In 5784, Rosh Hashanah is on Saturday, while Passover is on Tuesday. According to the Machzor Katan, 5784 is the 8th year of the 305th Metonic cycle making it a leap year. According to the Machzor Gadol, 5784 is the 16th year of the 207th Solar cycle. According to the current reckoning of sabbatical (shmita) years, 5784 is the 2nd year of the cycle & it is a maaser sheni year. Guaranteed you're not keeping the actual Shabbat holy, neither the 7th day cycle, nor the 7th year. Both are required in Judaism.

👎With all due respect, all you've done is to double-down on your error. Colossians 2:16-17 begins with the phrase: *_Let no man therefore judge you..._* And ends with the phrase: *_…but the body of Christ._* It's just that simple. Paul is telling the Colossians not to be judged by anyone outside the Church; namely, by ascetic Gnostics who were condemning them for eating and drinking (partying) during the Sabbath and holy days. Whereas, you're STILL representing that passage (to the unsuspecting masses) as saying something it doesn't.
Simply stated, you're citing an interpretation of that passage, and NOT Scripture. And, moreover, that cannot be denied. And, to make matters worse, you're doing so in an attempt to overthrow one of the very Ten Commandments.
Call me crazy, but it would seem to me that if God was going to renege on His Word, one wouldn't need to cite translations that play mental gymnastics with words to establish that. But, even so, the fact of the matter is that's all you've got, because God did not, and would not, renege on His Word.
Exodus 20:8-11 NASB “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. (9) “For six days you shall labor and do all your work, (10) but the seventh day is a Sabbath of the LORD your God; on it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male slave or your female slave, or your cattle, or your resident who stays with you. (11) “For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and everything that is in them, and He rested on the seventh day; for that reason the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
PS: And speaking of "translations that play mental gymnastics with words", the same can be said (to a lesser degree) about Hebrews 4:10. The issue there is with how one chooses to interpret the verb "rest". You've chosen to cite translations that render it in the past tense, when it can just as easily be rendered as a present, on-going action. Don't you think that the people you're teaching to disregard one of the very Ten Commandments deserve to know that? I sure do!
Hebrews 4:10 ESV for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested (past tense) from his works as God did from his.
    Versus:
Hebrews 4:10 NRSV for those who enter God's rest also cease (present, on-going action tense) from their labors as God did from his.
As for me? I've entered into God's rest (Salvation 100% by Faith & Grace). And, as such, that's why I follow His instructions to demonstrate that Faith by resting from my physical labors on the seventh day, just as He did.
Ezekiel 20:20 HCSB Keep My Sabbaths holy, and they will be a sign between Me and you, so you may know that I am the LORD your God.
Moreover, if one really wants to see the kind of disobedience that Hebrews 4 is talking about, simply read Ezekiel 20 in it's entirety. Here's what you will find, and it directly relates to what Hebrews (and Psalms 95) is saying!
Ezekiel 20:12-16 HCSB I also gave them My Sabbaths to serve as a sign between Me and them, so they will know that I am the LORD who sets them apart as holy. (13) "But the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not follow My statutes and they rejected My ordinances - the person who does them will live by them. They also completely profaned My Sabbaths. So I considered pouring out My wrath on them in the wilderness to put an end to them. (14) But I acted because of My name, so that it would not be profaned in the eyes of the nations in whose sight I had brought them out. (15) However, I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land I had given them--the most beautiful of all lands, flowing with milk and honey - (16) because they rejected My ordinances, profaned My Sabbaths, and did not follow My statutes. For their hearts went after their idols.

Respectfully, this may be the most egregious example of biased exegesis I've ever seen SourMilk. You said:
"Colossians 2:16-17 begins with the phrase: *Let no man therefore judge you...* And ends with the phrase: *…but the body of Christ."*
Simply stated, you're citing an interpretation of that passage, and _not_ Scripture. And, moreover, that cannot be denied. And, to make matters worse, you're doing so in an attempt to foist obligations on followers of Jesus that neither Scripture nor Jesus require.
In Col. 2:16-17, the final phrase "the body is of Christ" is not grammatically related to the opening statement "Let no man therefore judge you." Rather, it is related to the phrase that immediately precedes it. You can tell because of the conjunction δέ (but):
"These are a shadow of the things to come, *but* the substance belongs to Christ." (ESV)
"Things which are only a shadow of what is to come; *but* the substance belongs to Christ" (NASB).
"These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, *however,* is found in Christ." (NIV)
"Which are a shadow of things to come; *but* the body is of Christ." (KJV)
Paul is making a comparison between two things: (A.) The temporary and typological nature of the Old Covenant commands about food, drink, festivals, new moons, and Sabbaths as foreshadows, and (B.) the Person they were foreshadowing: the permanence and reality of Christ.
      Shalom,
      Rob

@@TheBiblicalRoots It fits grammatically just fine. It's called a parenthetical phrase.
Colossians 2:16-17 Then do not let anyone judge you in eating and drinking, either in part of a feast, or of a new moon, or of sabbaths (which are a shadow of coming things), but the body of Christ.
Furthermore, why does it say that these things ARE a shadow of things TO come, if Christ (being the supposed "reality") was already there?
Also, notice that it says "IN PART OF", indicating that one is taking PART in the holy days and Sabbaths.
Additionally, I see that you're supposing that the Almighty wrote a "temporary" Commandment in stone, right along side nine permanent ones. Makes sense to me...NOT!
It's also interesting how you dismiss the Sabbath (one of the very TEN Commandments) as simply being a "Old Covenant command", while all the while you're keeping all the rest of the TEN Commandments (wait for it...wait for it...) *UNDER THE NEW COVENANT!*
I'm sorry, but that sounds like selective reasoning to me!

@@sourmilkministries9445 I have to be honest. I'm a little dismayed by the amount of effort you're putting into reinterpreting the plain meaning of a verse in an attempt to defend your theological position. Respectfully, if your theology doesn't fit Scripture, it's not Scripture that needs to change.
Here are two thoughts to consider: First, you keep saying "but the body of Christ," but that's not what the Greek says. It's properly interpreted "the body *_is of_* Christ" or "the body *_is Christ's"_* This is why there are no English translations that say "but the body of Christ." There is no "parenthetical" statement in this passage.
Second, the clue for the future tense used in this verse is the statement "the substance *is* Christ." We know when Christ came, and the shadows preceded and looked forward to Christ. In fact, the phrase "of the things that were to come," which qualifies "shadow," shows Paul is contrasting the old age and the new. Christ has inaugurated the "age to come." Those Old Covenant commands were the "shadows" that the approaching new age casts before it. Now that the reality is come, there is no point in clinging to the shadows. And that reality belongs to Christ.

@@TheBiblicalRoots I'm not the one who's changing the Scriptures, you are. And, that doesn't change because most translators add the word "is" into the text in order to fit their dogmas. And, make no mistake about it, contrary to your assertions, the word is NOT found in the Greek. Moreover, one can easily see this for themselves by parsing the verse using "the Blue Letter Bible" found online. Here's it's summary of Col. 2:17:
      Which G3739
      are G2076
      a shadow G4639

      but G1161
      the body G4983
      [is]
      of Christ. G5547
Notice that there is no corresponding reference to the Greek for the word "is". And, why is that? Because it is not found in the Greek, regardless of your contention to the contrary.
And, FYI, here is an English translation that does indeed render the verse "but the body of Christ".
Colossians 2:17 AFV Which are a foreshadow of the things that are coming, but the body of Christ.
      Shalom
PS: And, oh, with all due respect to you, your continued use of the phrases "reality" and "substance" - in the context of supporting your position that the verse says "reality" and "substance" - has a name. It's called "circular reasoning".

I notice, Rob, that you started your argument with "if we understand this idea that Jesus is our Sabbath..."
This is telling and shows the fundamental flaw in your whole approach to reading the Bible. You never start with what a text actually says. You start with your own idea, and then read in to the text the very support for that idea that you need the text to say. The text never says "Jesus is our Sabbath", nor does it reason from what it does say to any conclusion remotely like "if you rest in Jesus' finished work, then you don't need to keep the Sabbath anymore".
You should just be honest with yourself and your listeners, that you are an apologist, not a Bible scholar. You aren't given your listeners biblical truth. What you are giving them is apologetical arguments which use the Bible to rationalize your man-made ideas. Be truthful and honest about this.

Hello, Shmeil. There is nothing wrong with keeping the seventh day Sabbath commands given in the Torah. (Except for the death penalty part, of course!) My point isn't that the 7th day Sabbath should not be kept, but rather that it is not a _requirement_ for followers of Jesus.
"Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ." (Col. 2:16-17)

Exodus 20:10 (KJV) But the seventh day is the SABBATH OF THE LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
its NOT a jewish sabbath, if continue with verse 11 its a commemoration of His creation, this is how we know whos the God we worship
The reason Paul never touched the sabbath because who can explain it better than the one who gave it JESUS to them in the first place in the 4 Gosples. They also had the audacity to accuse Him of breaking it not, not knowing He will be their Judge and Savior.
Matthew 24:20 (KJV) But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
This is Jesus referring fleeing Jerusalem (future after Jesus left)
Matthew 5:17-19 (KJV) Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus talking about the ten commandments v 18 heaven and earth still here all the commandments stays. Notice Jesus never specifically said about abollishing the Sabbath how dare we add to the Bible theres a curse that comes with it. Sorry Paul is not the Judge Jesus is, God forbid I bad mouth Paul.
Matthew 19:17 (KJV) And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if THOU ENTER INTO LIFE
    keep the commandments.
Life after Jesus forgave sin dont sin no more.
Revelation 22:14 (KJV) Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Is the teacher telling me that Jesis Himself contradict Himself God forbid. Why is he missing these scripture from the new covenant. God Forbid, theres alot more i can quote, But in regards to Hebrew what He saying is i can keep the sabbath but if i continue on SINNING due to (unbelief) like the Jews of old Im still not resting from the yoke of sin, im still not resting in Jesus❤🙏🙏 brother youre accountable to God in whatever you say in regards to scrIpture because ALL WAS INSPIRED BY GOD

You don't need Jesus.. I'm Jewish. You were all had by Rome..
I would like to show you one of the key concepts of your faith and how it is rooted in complete paganism:
*The Passover lamb represented the God of Egypt Khnum - a false idol god !! It had nothing to do with sin.*
*Every Jew who knows God's true word will tell you that. You were all fooled..*
*Your god is indeed a false idol god - only fitting.*
      Here, from the text:
      *Exodus 8:*
25 And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, Go ye, sacrifice to your God in the land.
26 And Moses said, It is not meet so to do; *for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the Lord our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone us?*
      ___________________________________________________
*The Passover is celebrated as a memorial for God's deliverance of His people - not for sins.*
*The sacrifice it self is named 'The Passover':*
      *Exodus 12*
14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the Lord's passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

@@FishermensCorner God didn't physically appear to Abraham, those were angels and one of the angels conveyed God's own words to Abraham.
Forgivness of God does not depend on blood but on repentace and doing what is right, plain flour was brought as sin offering as well and 'No remission of sin without blood' is an invention. The people of Ninve is a fine example of no sin sacrefice offered but God's forgivness was granted.
      You are following pagan teachings.
*See what God truly said about His forgiveness.*
      *Isaiah 55:7-9*
Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. *Let them turn to the Lord,* and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will *freely pardon.* (!!!!)
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
*(you were taught these two verses, but you were never taught they speak of God's forgiveness, I'm sure, those three verses go together!).*
      *Read the interpretation:*
*For My thoughts are not your thoughts:* Mine and yours are not the same; therefore, I say to you, “The wicked shall give up his way,” and adopt My way…
My laws are not like the laws of man [lit. flesh and blood]. *As for you, whoever confesses in judgment is found guilty, but, as for Me, whoever confesses and gives up his evil way, is granted clemency (Proverbs 28:13).*
      *Ezekiel 18:21-23*
“But if a wicked person *turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right,* that person will surely live; they will not die.
22 *None of the offenses they have committed will be remembered against them*. Because of the righteous things they have done, they will live. 23 *Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?*
      *Also see Ezekiel 33*
11 Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?’
      ...
14 And if I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ *but they then turn away from their sin and do what is just and right- 15 if they give back what they took in pledge for a loan, return what they have stolen, follow the decrees that give life, and do no evil-that person will surely live; they will not die. 16 None of the sins that person has committed will be remembered against them. They have done what is just and right; they will surely live.*
*God has no need for blood to forgive.*
You really think God cannot forgive without shedding of blood?? How were the people of Ninveh saved?? No sacrifices, repentance is the key.
      ___________________________________________________
*No remission of sin without blood ???*
As flour was used as sin sacrefice the claime that without the shedding of blood there's no forgiveness is null and void.
      *See Leviticus 5:*
11 “‘If, however, they cannot afford two doves or two young pigeons, they are to bring as an offering for their sin a tenth of an ephah[b] of the finest *flour for a sin offering.* They must not put olive oil or incense on it, because *it is a sin offering.* 12 They are to bring it to the priest, who shall take a handful of it as a memorial[c] portion and burn it on the altar on top of the food offerings presented to the Lord. *It is a sin offering.* 13 *In this way the priest will make atonement for them for any of these sins they have committed, and they will be forgiven.* The rest of the offering will belong to the priest, as in the case of the grain offering.’”
*That alone debunks Hebrew's and Christianity.*
*No remission of sin without blood ??? Please !!!*
      ___________________________________________________
*Here are a few verses that show you that God does not require sacrefices:*
      *Psalm 40*
7 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire- *but my ears you have opened- burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require.*
*Seems familiar right ? See how Paul changed that as he did many other texts:*
“Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, *but a body you prepared for me;*
      *Isiah **1:11*
11 *Of what use are your many sacrifices to Me?* says the Lord. *I am sated with the burnt-offerings of rams and the fat of fattened cattle; and the blood of bulls and sheep and hegoats I do not want.*
      *1st Samuel **15:22*
22 And Samuel said, *"Has the Lord (as much) desire in burnt offerings and peace-offerings, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than a peace-offering; to hearken (is better) than the fat of rams.*
      *Hosea 6:6*
6 *For I desire loving-kindness, and not sacrifices, and knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.*
      *Psalms 51:18-19*
18 *For You do not wish a sacrifice, or I should give it; You do not desire a burnt offering.*
19 *The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;* O God, You will not despise a broken and crushed heart.
      *Jeremiah 7:*
22 For when I brought your ancestors out of Egypt and spoke to them, I did not just give them commands about burnt offerings and sacrifices, 23 but I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you.
Blood is sacred there's no denying it, do you think God would need the blood of a human being who He planted His soul in to forgive when he said clearly that nothing has to be given other than repentance and following his law?
Not only that, he takes the Good things you do in life and credits it to you against the evil you do!!
You need to understand that blood has little importance in God's eye as a forgivness aid, as sacrefice wouldn't have been accepted by Him without true repentance.
*His forgiveness cannot be precieved by any mortal 🙏.*
*Think which God you are worshiping. It is not the true God of Israel.*
*Now tell me is the God of Israel the same as all other God's who's forgivness relies on blood of humans, like any other PAGAN GODS ??*
*Is he 'unable' to forgive without blood ???*
*Who is the more compassionate God? the God of Israel who FREELY FORGIVES (!) or the Christian god who demands human sacrefice to do so??*

HEBREWS 4:1-2,9-11 , " 1.Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2.For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
9.There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
THE ONES ENTERING INTO JESUS REST OR HIS KINGDOM OF 1000 YEARS , WILL BE THE ONES IN THE FIRST RESURRECTION , OR THE 144,000 ISRAELITES IN REVELATIONS 7 &14 . THE ISRAELITES IN THE WILDERNESS WILL NOT BE IN THE FIRST RESURRECTION BECAUSE THEY DID NOT BELIEVE ( KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS ) . THE REST IS SALVATION , COMPLETING THE WORDS FROM THE BEGINNING .
ROMANS 14:5-6 , 5.One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
HOW DO YOU ESTEEM A DAY TO THE LORD ?
      1. BY OBSERVING THE SABBATH , THE DAY OF REST THAT HE COMMANDS YOU TO .
      2. BY PRAYING AND FASTING , WHICH CAN BE ON ANY DAY .
( ISAIAH 58:3-6 , 3.Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.
4Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.
5Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?
6Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? )
PAUL IS NOT TALKING ABOUT THE SABBATH , BUT PRAYING AND FASTING TO THE LORD : ONE MAN ESTEEM ONE DAY OVER ANOTHER .
COLOSSIANS 2:16 , Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
WHAT WAS THE ISRAELITES REQUIRED TO DO DAILY , NEW MOON , SABBATH ( WEEKLY ) , HOLYDAY ( FEAST SABBATHS ) , UNDER THE MEDIATOR MOSES , THROUGH THE LEVITICUS PRISTHOOD ?
THEY WERE REQUIRED TO MAKE SACRIFICES AND OBLATIONS ( MEAT / DRINK OFFERINGS ) ; NUMBERS 28 & 29 ; PLEASE READ IT .
WHAT CHANGED UNDER THE MEDIATOR JESUS CHRIST ?
DANIEL 9:27 , And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
MARK 2:27-28 , 27.And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
28Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
WHO MADE THE SABBATH FOR MAN ?
THE ONE WHO CREATED MAN , WHICH IS THE WORD THAT BECAME FLESH ; WHICH IS JESUS CHRIST .
IF YOU MOTHER MAKE A MEAL FOR YOU , WHAT DO YOU EXPECT SHE WANT YOU TO DO ?
SINCE JESUS OR THE WORD CREATED THE SABBATH FOR MAN , WHAT DO YOU EXPECT HE WANT YOU TO DO WITH IT ?
      SHALOM !

Due to illness, I will have to pull away from watching or commenting. I will miss you Professor Solberg. Thank you for your great teaching. We suffer just like Christ suffered for us. Life here is pain but the life to come will be pure joy and that is my hope along with seeing my spouse again, the only one I have ever loved. No more crying myself to sleep.

Well spoken Professor Solberg! You have expounded wonderfully on the spirituality of Sabbath rest.
This spiritual rest found and experienced in Christ is a fulfillment of Jeremiah 6:16.
Notwithstanding, Genesis 2:3 specifically states that God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it. Isaiah 66:23 speaks prophetically concerning the eternal perpetuity of this unique day set apart by Yahweh.
Our seven day weekly cycle can be traced back to ancient Akkadia, and it was from Ur that Abram departed with his father Terah, first for Haran, then to Canaan. With him he took and preserved the knowledge of Yahweh as Creator of Heaven and Earth, Genesis 12:1-5; Genesis 15:1; Genesis 22:13,14; Genesis 24:1-3.
Is it any wonder that Yahweh would declare in Exodus 20:11 "For in six days the LORD ( Yahweh ) made heaven and earth, the sea and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day; wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."

Excellent message. One point that SDAs make to justify sabbath keeping is - they do not keep the sabbath to be justified, but they will lose their justification by not keeping it - and fail to understand it is the same thing.

I'm not a Seventh-Day adventist, but living in sin is testing the grace of God. Strangely this is addressed in Hebrews as well.

So the same can be said about not stealing or taking the name of the lord in vain or worshipping idols then ? Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments so therefore he is justifying us by works? So that means Jesus is contradicting the Bible then ? Hmmm

We observe God's moral commandments because we are justified, not to stay justified. We do try to keep Christ's two commandments because we love Him . A Christian may suffer temporal consequences if they do something immoral, but will never lose their justification - because it is based on faith in Christ, not what they do.
