It’s Wednesday afternoon, May 29, 2024, and we depart Osier, Colorado aboard the 3 foot narrow gauge Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad parlor car “Colorado,” heading from Chama, New Mexico to Antonito, Colorado.
Our steam locomotive from Osier to Antonito is K27 Mudhen 2-8-2 number 463, built for the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad by Baldwin in 1903.
