CP 2816 Final Spike - Chase across Illinois!

On May 9th, 2024, the Final Spike Tour of the Canadian Pacific 2816 steam locomotive made the run across CP's Chicago Sub in Northern Illinois.
We started the day in Kirkland, IL and followed the consist over to Savanna. The train continued on, while we made a turn towards home.
During the trip south, we made a brief stop in Rochelle, where UP treated us to a couple of bonus westbounds.

We had a steam engine go through our backyard in noble years ago. Also a couple circus trains. Leta

I have seen photos of when the steam engine came through the area. I didn't live around here then so I missed out.
