Loved this remix so much, had this on loop for hours when this patch dropped. Between this, all the other XIV remixes, and Mario RPG, FF4 is getting so much love in 2023
This has gotta be my favorite trial of the Endwalker patch quests. Also the only one i activly tried to get a clear of the extreme of within the first couple weeks of the patch
"There's no reason for this to go as hard as it does"? On the contrary my drummer, this is Zeromus the final boss of Final Fantasy IV. This song has been going as hard as it does since the Super Nintendo. Imamura just turned it up to 11.
FFIV is in my top 3 FFs, so playing post game EW was an absolute treat! I played the DS, GBA, and PSP versions, so I'm very familiar with anything FFIV! This remix is absolute fire, and really suits the "final boss" vibe! BGM is on whenever I get Zeromus in trials, lol! I still get chills when phase 2 starts and The Red Wings starts playing! Soken really went wild with this one! ❤
*Now* I'm known among my friends for routinely putting FF4 near the bottom of my favorite FF games lists. HOWEVER! The music is damn near flawless I will never argue that it has one of the best soundtracks.
I never play with BGM on... I turn it on for this fight. I've re-queued for this fight for an entire evening before. It's just 100% perfect all around.

@@ThePretzelBread I use vgmdb for info relating to video game music. XIV albums always detail the peeps that arrange the songs, but SE for whatever reason never bother to give them any attention, sadly. As great as Soken is, he hasn't made over a thousand songs in ten years :P
