I just love the way this XE handles ,so good for a Big Falcon and sounds great and doesn't need to scream its head off to push her along at a good pace 👍🙂
Love it. Sounds like that engine build is a great balance for responsive perf in this event. I've noticed others with similar cars overdo the power and end up struggling. Sometimes less is more if it's in the right zone. Could be wrong of course but it sounds like that engine is singing in the right places imo. Mary, what a lady supporting the passion!
had an XE…the big under steer into big over steer is a great memory….though i would love one with a turbo barra, just imagine trying to steer that sort of HP around corners
You're not crazy racing with your wife next to you. There is a a very successful father and daughter team that race a GRP4 Mk2 Escort in the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship. Sweet Falcon btw, just don't do an Eric Bana and chuck it into the scenery. He had an XC Coupe, but all of the old Aussie Fords are precious and as awesome as the scenery is it doesn't deserve our Fords, that's what they built Holdens for. Just kidding. 🙃👍
More like cashed up baby boomers thinking they’re invincible. Pretty hard on the families and emergency workers that have to clean up the mess. Much safer ways to enjoy motorsports.
@@2x_Sol Thier was a 351/5.8L(352 cu.in.) Cleveland and a 302/4.9L Cleveland avialable. Also what are the regulations for modifications, aftermarket block or heads ?
The previous engine was the original matching number 351, the replacement is a very mild 351, built to standard spec rules for this event. It has 200kw at the wheels and 500nm or torque.
They cancelled the classic Adelaide because a first time girl driver got sideways and crushed a photographer who was standing on the road back up against a wall
Hmmmm🤔🤔🤔??? Aussie version of Foxbody Stang?? Lol they both are like Jean-Claude's double impact ...the wild one is stang, and the gentle one was shown lil dumb but falcon isn't...
@@XE351S Yup, it's not a Rotary. The 500nm of torque has advantages and revving its tits off is an excellent way to finish the event on your friends trailer!
did my apprenticeship on Xes, Very good cars especially with the Cleveland. What happened to Australia, we built the best.

Excellent clear nav instructions Mary, just what a driver needs to keep you on track!
Man that thing sounds great

Absolutely awesome looking and sounding XE, What motor is it running?

My dade is one taunus gsxl 2L8 v6 et quelque années plus tard il a fait monter un v6 3L d une granada d Allemagne verie good cars is beautiful

What was the previous V8 and current V8, please include as many detials as possible.
Current sounds like an injected 302
Look up ford falcon v8

Pitty they thinking of canceling next year
They cancelled the classic Adelaide because a first time girl driver got sideways and crushed a photographer who was standing on the road back up against a wall
Cancelled? 5 isle of man racers passed away this year. Its what they signed up for

I've heard Massey Ferguson's pulling more revs while ploughing the paddock.
Doesn’t need to rev hard

🤣 typical jealous comment
That would be the 3.3ltr ford engine you could get at sale.
Imagine if it had a 351 in it!
Put a windsor in it you will clean up.ditch the clevo boad anchor
